Upscale locally owned neighborhood specialty grocery store offering wine, cheese, coffee and gourmet food items. They have an extensive wine collection, including half bottle options. They also have a wide cheese selection in the back. The P'Tit Basque cheese (semi-soft) is divine! Love the strong flavor of it. Some other items you can find here: Fresh fish and meat, red lentils, tahini paste, chocolate, teas, coffee and tea accessories, local honey, free range local eggs ($5/dozen), beer, hard liquor, cigars, world's greatest chocolate cookies (according to the sign)... The fresh salmon every Friday is the best! That and a big bag of freshly ground coffee makes a great start to any/every weekend!

Both Bud Starr and John Nash are very good at recommending wine too.

The foodie in me is so glad this Asian supermarket exists!! I've come across a wide variety of…read moreAsian foods and goods in this store. They sell Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and goods from other Asian countries. I've recently found fresh and dry Asian noodles at the store for a cheap price, which cost 2-3x more money in other chain supermarkets like Walmart and Target, HUGE plus for World Market. What really took me off guard and surprised me was that they also make fresh and sell various boba tea and bubble waffles with and without ice cream.

Crying in HMart? Impossible in STL given that there isn't one here (@HMart I am begging you to open…read morehere), but World Market or Cho Quoc Te is a close alternative. Vietnamese/Asian supermarkets are very nostalgic to me from being the number one childhood activity with my mother, and World Market did not disappoint. Every bit of it screamed home to me, from the lingering smell of raw fish and plethora of seasonings to the 7356495 brands for the same jarred goods to the overfilled carts of every mom's meal prep for a family of 4+ for an entire week. The grocery store itself is about smaller to medium-sized and produce seemed okay. What was really fantastic about it was that it had a lot of other businesses incorporated inside of it -- a pharmacy, to-go food on the ready, a dessert bar, etc. I especially loved the premade meals, and they had great variety. Some notable mentions from picking up an assortment of things -- the pandan soymilk was solid; the che khoai mon (taro pudding) was good; the che banh lot (pandan and coconut milk starch pudding) was also good, and I appreciated that it was just banh lot with no extra accouterments; the pate chaud was surprisingly really good (not too peppery or salty, just perfectly buttery and flakey with the right amount of flavor). In addition to not having to hit triple digits for a small grocery run (which seems to be the case everywhere else), it was really nice having so many things available. I'll definitely be back here more often to try more of their premade dishes and for the serotonin.

This is such a wonderful place! If you need a sandwich..get it there if you need amazing ham salad…read more(and other deli items )...get it there. If you want the steak soup they serve in Annie Gunns....and I highly recommend it...get it there. And FRESH FISH. Amazing fresh fish. Also highly recommend the smoked shrimp, trout and the crab cakes. I could go on and on...so much goodness in there. The ambiance is a bit snug in there and it might be a bit overwhelming with all the amazing products, but so worth it. Take your time and stroll through. Service can be a bit tricky. Sometimes you need to wait in line at the beginning of the deli area but if want meat of fish you need to wait in that area.. But they are always running at full speed

You feel like you're walking into the most cozy little grocery store where everyone working is ready and willing to help you in any way they can. While you wait for your made-to-order sandwich, shop around for cheeses, sauces, breads, meats, honey, sweet treats, pickles, and so much more. My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious and so was the turkey reuben sandwich too. They had too many yummy sides to pick from, but the pasta salad and broccoli salad I tried first were so good. I cannot wait to go back so I can keep trying all of the delicious options they serve up.
