I have resisted writing this review for months because I hate to get on here and badmouth a…read morebusiness but this place has completely screwed me over. There's no other way to say it When I moved to the area last year as a recently single mother, I had to find a new dentist. I called this place and asked if they accepted my insurance. The office manager said yes. My daughter and I both went in for appointments. There was some question about what would be covered by my insurance but the office manager blew off any concerns and told me she could enter things in certain ways so that they'd go through the insurance. A few weeks later I got a bill for $300. I called the office manager and was told that while they take my insurance, they aren't "in network" with my plan. I said that, gee, it would've been nice to have heard that when I called to book the appointments. Had I known they were out of network, I never would've booked the appointment. I stated that I felt I was mislead that I wasn't told this when I called. While I didn't specifically use the term "in-network" (as I had no idea that I needed to since I rarely switch doctors) it seemed like it should've been an obvious, implied question when directed to the person who handles insurance for the practice and who deals with insurance all day long and who would know that I was still going to get a charge for the visit. The office manager then went on to tell me that my insurance wasn't any good anyway and that I should consider dropping it. I called my insurance company (Aetna) and went through the entire bill with them. They confirmed that if I had used an "in network" dental office, my out-of-pocket expense would've been zero dollars. I spoke to other people at the dental office and even wrote a letter to the dentist explaining what happened. I explained that I was a single mother on an extremely tight budget and only getting sporadic child support. I asked if there was any way they could reduce the bill at all based on the misunderstanding. I was told no, they were not willing to even reduce my bill. So I was left with a bill for $300, which the office manager suggested I pay off in increments of $50 per month. I don't have the budget to take on another $50 per month bill. My budget is set to the penny and I know exactly how much money I have for every month. So I have been paying it off at $10 per month for the last few months. I have continued to pay this bill every month even though my joint finances with my ex-husband are a complete shambles and my house is in pre-foreclosure and we're on the verge of bankruptcy for our joint accounts. (No lie.) Today I called to see if I could get my and my daughter's x-rays so that we could bring them to our new, in-network, dentist. I was told that they don't release x-rays to people who have a balance. I explained who I was and the office manager acknowledged that I had been paying off my balance at $10 per month but still refused to release the x-rays. I further explained to her that my financial situation has become extremely dire in the past few months but I have still continued to pay this bill. I felt that because of the misunderstanding that the least they could do was release my x-rays, as I have been diligently paying off a several-hundred dollar balance that I cannot afford and probably shouldn't have ended up with in the first place. No dice. So, thanks, Kimberton Dental, for being so inflexible as to not admit your own mistake and then making a customer (who cannot afford it!) pay for your oversight. I hope it was worth it.

I love this dentist. After not going to the dentist for several years because of a bad experience…read moreat another practice, I was referred to Dr. Khai by a family friend who could do nothing but rave about the entire practice. Despite her positive encouragement, I was still skeptical. However, since I had to get back to the dentist, I decided to give it a try. My first visit with Dr. Khai was in April 2013, and I have been back every six months since. I have never regretted my choice in seeing Dr. Khai and am so relieved that I am able to count on her and her team. Not only have they provided top notch dental care, they have taken the initiative to help me through my fears of the dental chair. The practice takes the time to discuss any procedures and ensure that I am well aware of any costs for the service. If I need to scale back, they work with me by making sure I am well informed about my choices. They have never pushed me into unnecessary work and are very thorough. I have never been to a better dentist. If you are looking into Kimberton Dental, you can feel assured that this practice provides the best care and utmost professionalism.

Dr. D, thank you for inviting me to review our professional experience between 2007 and 2017…read more I think my past evaluations (Seemingly deleted) well established my experience. I will not add any additional details, especially since your attorney sent me an official notification that I may be negatively affecting your practice; that was never my intention. Thank you again for giving me this opportunity.

I had 4 teeth extracted in the fall of 2009. When I decided to replace them with implants in stead…read moreof going with partials and bridges, the dental professionals I consulted with had recommended the titanium implants. Since I am in my 30s, knowing that titanium implants is highly biocompatible with great durability, but I was not sure with all the possible long term effects of metals in the body I really wanted something that is more natural and holistic. I was elated when I learned that Zirconia implants that had been available in Europe and Japan for quite some time were finally approved by FDA a few years ago with a handful of doctors offering them in the US. I came across Dr. DiGiallorenzo's website during my research online for metal free implants. Dr. DiGiallorenzo's office deals with lots of out of town patients, but since my husband and I live in the Chicago area with 3 young children, I was not planning on taking a trip out of town for the procedure. I contacted the company Z-Systems for a list of doctors providing them in the US, only one holistic dentist was available in the Chicago area. After the consultation I knew I wanted a dental implant specialist to perform my procedure. I then asked Z-Systems for the doctors who had the most experience working with zirconia implants, and Dr. David DiGiallorenzo's name came right on top of the list as the first office in the US offering them. I soon emailed Dr. D and was so surprised when I got a reply from the doctor himself an hour later and a call to speak to him directly. After contacting and seeing various dental professionals, it was so refreshing to be able speak to a doctor who is willing to take time to answer my questions and concerns without requesting an in office consultation with required paid checkup and x-rays first. After several emails addressing my concerns, Dr. D looked at my x-rays and CT-Scans that I had taken at other dentists' offices, he provided me a treatment plan with the cost that is comparable to the cost from local dentists, and he told me that I did not need the sinus lift procedure the other oral surgeon had requested for. I knew then I had found the right place for getting my metal free implants. We took the trip to Collegeville a couple weeks later at end of March 2010, Dr. D's staff picked me up at the hotel in the morning. Having been to many dental professionals' offices prior, I was blown away by the warm welcoming and the attentiveness of Dr. D and his staff. I was given the options of local or general anesthesia and I am so glad that I opted for the local with Novocain. I was alert during the procedure and there was relaxing tranquil music playing in the background. Most surprisingly, a massage therapist was with me the whole time providing me massages and reflexology to help ease any tensions. Dr. D was very gentle and repeatedly checked to see I was doing OK, he also pointed out the steps as the procedure progressed. There were hardly any discomfort nor bloody scene like I had read about in other people's dental implant experiences. I was so relaxed throughout the procedure and before I knew it, all four implants were in and I was ready to go. When my husband came he was surprised that I did not look like I just had a surgical procedure! We were driving to Atlantic City that afternoon and my husband thought he would have to lay me down on the hotel bed once we got there but instead we took the kids on the board walk for a couple of hours and had a nice dinner (fluid diet for me). Dr. D gave me a call the second day morning to check on me as well. I had expected to stay in the hotel recovering but I only needed the pain relief for the first 24 hours, and there were very minimum bleeding and swellings. I enjoyed the rest of the trip with my family at the Jersey shores. It's been 2 months since I came home with my implants, and the recovery had been a breeze comparing to the recovery I had when my teeth were extracted. I had a regular check up at my dentist's office last week and showed off my metal free implants - the office also has an oral surgeon on staff and they do lots of titanium implants. My dentist took a full set of x-rays and thought my implants look great and the integration was doing really good. He also commented that Dr. D did a great job. In a few months I will be ready to get the crowns! Thank you Dr.D and your wonderful staff for the dental experience like no other!
