I have seen other physical therapists but I found the level of care, concern, and support to be excellent as per my time with John and James. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and effective in helping me improve functioning in my shoulder and strengthening my abdomen. Both John and James are very kind and funny, they make you feel welcomed and really care about your recovery. Their compassionate approach coupled with therapeutic skills aids the healing process. They communicate the objectives of therapy and ask how you are feeling before the start of each session to gage your progress and make adjustments, as needed. You feel like you are an active partner in your rehabilitation. I highly recommend StarPro Physical Therapy, specifically John and James who work together, and are excellent therapists. Thank you so much ! Eunjoo L. read more

I tore my Achilles' tendon and went to Premier for my rehabilitation. What a great, fun place to get healthy again! I always enjoy going and the people who work at Premier know what they are doing and are interested in your well being and getting you back to your life whatever it was before you got hurt. I would recommend going to Premier as long as you want to get good care and you like to work with fun energetic people. read more

Professional PT was a great clinic. They are caring and attentive. The clinic was spacious and was kept very clean and sanitary. The therapists were warm and knowledgeable and didn't rush through exercises. They made sure I was doing the exercises properly and would not cause any further injury. They frequently asked about how I was feeling and made adjustments as needed. I would definitely recommend the 96th street clinic. read more

My experience was amazing including my therapist Anil. I was very depressed post ankle surgery because I was still living with a lot of pain which limited my daily life. I can happily say that after 3 months I am joyful, mobile and living pain free thanks to my therapist Anil and also being diligent doing my pt exercises every day. A great "hands on" and professional business. read more

They were consistently helpful and adaptable as I recovered from my sprained ankle, adjusting the exercises continually to my level of activity, allowing me to return to competitive sports within 6 months, feeling even better than before. read more

The staff is very attentive and makes you feel very comfortable. Matthew and Sofie have helped me strengthen my back and relieve alot of the back pain. The facilities are kept immaculate which is very important during covid. This is my third time here and it has always improved my strength and fixed my injuries. Highly recommend. read more

I went to Professional Physical Therapy from January through March 2019 for an issue with my knee. Although the PT's were good, their billing system is atrocious. Bills have been "processed incorrectly", overcharged, and sent to collection agencies multiple times. I have heard from Collections even before receiving a bill. Even after being assured by customer service that I have "zero balance," I still hear from collections. When I sent a certified letter to one collection agency, disputing a charge, I then heard from another one, although I had no balance. The customer service people are sometimes quite rude. In September 2019, "JB" told me supervisor "Carlos" would call me back; he never did. "JB" told me that it was my responsibility to fight with the insurance company -- apparently one service was incorrectly processed as "out of network." On November 26, when I asked to speak to a manager, "Robert" told me that the manager, "Gilbert," isn't "sitting around waiting for phone calls." Every time one receives a collections notice you have 30 days to send them a certified letter disputing it or effects your credit rating. So this is extremely inconvenient and they are very unhelpful. Note: This behavior is in keeping with the management of the West 96th St. branch where I received my treatment, which was insanely overcrowded, to a point where my PT had to resign in the middle of my treatment because she was often working on 5 or more patients simultaneously. She felt she was going to end up injured herself from overwork. So Professional PT is money-hungry to the point of aggressively harassing medical patients; they are sloppy with their billing; they are avaricious; they are medically UNPROFESSIONAL with their over-scheduling and overcrowding. Be very, very wary of going to them. read more

I spent most of my appointments doing my exercises by myself, with only a quick interaction with that actual therapist as she bounced between multiple patients at a time. The exercises helped my injury, but it started to feel pointless to be coming in and paying for sessions since I was just doing the exact same exercises I did at home and not really meeting with the therapist for more than a few minutes. I can do exercises at home for free, and expected more actual interaction/collaboration with a therapist if I'm present at the facility and being billed for services. I have done PT before and this was the first time I had this experience of a therapist being so minimally involved. Some of the communication from my therapist towards or about other patients was also unkind, impatient, and curt. I did several sessions hoping some of these things would improve but unfortunately they did not. The assistants and administrative staff are very nice, but I will likely choose a different practice for my future physical therapy needs. read more

I really like this facility. Cozy and friendly staff and convenient to buses and trains.

My eight year old son broke his arm and was prescribed three weeks of physical therapy. I can't recommend Premier on the UWS enough. My son's PT, Aliza, really made the sessions and exercises enjoyable for my son, so much so that he didn't want to leave at the end of the sessions. All the PTs we interacted with were very engaging. The front desk staff was also very customer focused and efficient. read more

I have been going here for 4 months, following hip replacement and foot surgery. The atmosphere is always upbeat and collegial, and I see everyone - from children to the elderly - treated with respect and compassion. Not only have I received wonderful care and attention from physical therapist Dr. Michelle Strauss, but she has taught me how to follow through, taking responsibility to continue my healing at home. read more

I have fibromyalgia coupled with a number of orthopedic problems. I have been sent for pt 6 or 7 times in the last 20 years. I do not tolerate or respond well to exercise or hand-on work in a normal way and have always ended up worse off than when I started. Not so this time! Sharon at Premier PT (now Professional PT) is absolutely amazing. She is caring, knowledgeable, and gifted. She learned quickly how my body responds and has adapted all treatment to the touch and pace I can tolerate. I am extremely grateful to her. read more

I was a patient in the Premier Physical Therapy in May and June. They called my insurance and the insurance gave me 9 physical therapy visits. The visit was pleasant and Michelle who was my therapist is very good. The problem that I gave them only one star is that they do not care about following up with the health problem of the patient. This is NYC very busy I understand but they never called the insurance again to ask for more physical therapy visits. I went in person to the location, I spoke to a person at the reception and I spoke several times with Michelle herself and asked them to call the insurance. Today I called the insurance they said I still have 21 visits left but the therapist has to call the insurance. I called them again and they of course told me to wait because they will call the insurance soon, but it is almost December. I have a serious problem to my ankle and from May -June till today they did not call the insurance and they did not care if my ankle is OK or not. Based on this observation I can say they do not care about the health of the patients at all. At this moment I would like to go back to get more physical therapy visits with them, and I still have about 21 visits left, but i cannot because they do not have time to call the insurance. Every time I call them, they will say, please wait we will call your insurance. Yes i was waiting but now the year is gone and i lost all the physical therapy visits...for this year..I am not sure if this a professional attitude and I am not sure if I need to stick with them for the next year, since my problem is not healing I need physical therapy... read more

If I could give six stars for this office's team of professional, courteous and welcoming staff I would in a heartbeat. I spent three months working on my post-surgery shoulder with Sharon, who is phenomenal. Sharon is patient, personable and knowledgeable. The support team (props to Frank and Michelle) also are super helpful and cheerful, as is the front desk (very easy and accommodating when making appointments). The three months flew by thanks to this amazing crew, and best of all, I'm in great shape. Highly recommend! read more

I have had chronic headaches, muscle tension and a sore neck for years and Sharon Fong was the first physiotherapist who has been able to help me. She was fantastic both at diagnosis and developing my treatment plan. She is very knowledgeable, fun and easy to talk to. Thanks to her, my quality of life is significantly improved and I also feel motivated to maintain the improvements by doing the exercises at home and at work. I can't recommend her enough! read more

Back in December I was diagnosed with "runners knee." The doctor suggested physical therapy to get my knee back in shape. However, I was very reluctant to go because of the not so good stories I heard from friends. Several of my friends had also been diagnosed with "runners knee" around the same time, and were quite displeased with their PT experience, so I was discouraged to try physical therapy. So I decided to skip out on physical therapy and try to strengthen my knee on my own. After some time, I noticed my knee was not getting better and I was still in constant pain, and could not run anymore, which was definitely not okay. So finally, I decided to give premier a call, and was scheduled to see Sharon. And for the past 3 months I have seen significant progress. Sharon has definitely fixed me and I cannot thank her enough for the work she has done. Not only does Sharon know what she is doing, but she truly cares to build a relationship with her patients and makes us all feel very comfortable. Thank you Sharon and premier for everything you have done!!! read more
