Went there to see Yachtley Crew. I had seats which were nice. If you get the seats, know that you won't have a bunch of room in front of your feet to bring a big cooler. Also if you get the seats there is a back to them so you don't need to worry about bringing a chair. The good part about this venue is you can bring in beer, wine, and food, but no hard alcohol. It is a fun venue for summer concerts. Also, if you get lawn tickets, there is a long line before the event opens for people who want to snag the best spots on the lawn. read more

I was blessed with tickets to Mariachi Vargas and it was a very interesting experience at The Starlight Bowl! Having been my 1st time here, I didn't realize that parking was going to be a feat to deal with. There were shuttle buses available to bus people up to the top after parking and everything was extremely organized. The ticket rules said no Alcohol allowed but food and non alcoholic drinks were allowed. However, I noticed many people did not read the fine print and brought bottles/coolers of alcohol which is why the bag check lines were extra long. Alcohol is sold in the arena and a glass of house wine was $16. Pricey but I suppose those daylight robbery prices are to be expected which is why I brought our own cans of sodas/waters and snacks from Porto's for the 8 of us. The rows of benches are very clearly numbered but for a 3+hr concert, it'd be smart to bring seat cushions as my tush was a little sore at the end of the evening. As we were exiting, I was very surprised at the level of coordination to leave the arena in an orderly manner and even get out of the parking lot where we were all packed like sardines 4 cars in a single file. If you're pregnant and having a baby, you'd NOT have been able to just drive off, that's for sure! But if there is no emergency, all is good. I did notice a pungent order coming from the restrooms with super long lines. This is why people should not have been drinking beers in the first place. Overall, this was a great evening. My only suggestion is having better and larger restroom facilities. read more

I went here finally for a concert some really old group from the old New Wave/Euro Disco days.... It's a nice venue kind of old and you can tell....parking is hectic and the idiot in the parking lot really ticked me off first he guides me to a space and he saw me parking....than he said that I parked wrong because i'm taking too many spaces....i was like WTF dude you saw me and didn't tell me til I was getting out! At the same time there was a concrete block right in front of where he wanted me to park i said so basically when I leave I have to wait for people behind me to leave unlike others could leave when the car in front of them leaves....So I backed all the way out and parked behind another car that had room to leave in front.... Lots of area to eat and hangout prior to going in.... There was a funnel going in because they weren't really that great at organizing a line and having security check in an organized manner.... Either way got in and it was fun...seating is done well enough I think people can easily watch/listen/dance or do whatever they do at concerts.... I was able to wrangle my way down to the front of the stage to meetup with some friends but it was difficult getting back up to fight the crowd.... overall...not bad.... read more

How did I not know about this place?!? I've lived in SFV for years and did not know this little gem existed until last night. Picture a smaller scale Hollywood Bowl tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Burbank at Stough Park. You can see Castaways restaurant perched above from the park. Show: A summer night under the stars, came to see the Fab Four who were fabulous. They sang Beatles hits with costume changes to fit the era. "Paul" had an amazing voice and the rest of the band was great. Tickets and parking: Purchased tickets online for $15 each + a small service fee. Tickets are emailed from itsmyseat.com and must be printed. Parking was $10 for this event, but seems that fluctuates based on other reviews. It's stacked parking on a gravel lot but got super lucky where I wasn't blocked in. Picnic area: There are limited picnic tables outside across the parking lot but plenty of grassy area to lay down a blanket for a picnic. There's restrooms in the picnic area - women's restroom has two stalls but seemed like they run out of toilet paper. Drinks & Food: We were able to bring food & beverages inside the bowl, but alcohol needed to be purchased inside for this event. People were enjoying wine they brought and other libations outside in the picnic area. Final thoughts: If you bought tickets for seats, bring a seat cushion and/or a blanket and enjoy live performances under the stars. I missed live music during the pandemic lockdown and this was an awesome show & venue to go to. Looking forward to returning. I saw ppl who had lawn tickets carry their lawn chairs. I absolutely LOVE this place and would give it a full 5 stars but for the fact that this summer the venue began to employ "summer program" personnel to staff events. The individuals selected lack the professionalism and the maturity to do the jobs required of them. I strongly recommend that they return to a mix of volunteers and paid staff. One of the staff (pictured here) was engaged in particularly inappropriate and filthy behavior that was reported to his supervisor. I've already also reported him to Burbank Parks & Rec., law enforcement and other potentially "interested" authorities. Other than that, the food, entertainment and ambiance are all spectacular!!! Englebert Humperdink was awesome! This venue was well situated and seating was very comfortable. He magically transported me back to my youth, reminding me of every long lost love, my tears were flowing, I knew all the words, the acoustics were perfect. He was very personable and a great storyteller, it felt like we were all in his living room. He is a great showman still to this day. It was my first time here and it was impressive. read more

A great, fun, beautiful place!! Do not buy food from the concession stand!! Online the only thing I could find about what food we could get there was from B.J.'s.....this is not the case!!! The food was from a local restaurant and it was equivalent to fast food, but a smaller amount and not even warm! Nice, intimate venue with great acoustics but you have to be part billy goat to get in there. Up hill from the parking lot, up to the check in and up again when you get inside. Lyft didn't help because they have to drop you off at the bottom of the hill. We waited for over half hour for the shuttle and it didn't show up. The people working there didn't offer much help. Pretty clueless. All seats are great and there is a grass area that you can bring blankets and chairs. Read on Yelp that those seats are free or super cheap (not sure which). We had box seats which were super comfortable and roomy. You can bring you own food/drinks or buy food/drinks there. They have cover bands on the weekends all summer. My sister and I purchased front row tickets (assigned seating) 2 years ago. Due to Covid the concert was last night. There were no ushers or security to help us find our seats. We get to the front row area and NO seats!!! People were taking folding chairs and placing them wherever they wanted. There were other people in our chairs. We paid $250 each for those tickets and didn't get our seats. Had to watch the concert 3 rows back. We deserve a refund!!! Buyer Beware!!! read more

Took my parents to a concert & we all loved it!! The venue is nice & cozy!! We got a table for 4 & luckily we had great neighbors cause every box has 8 seats, 4 for you & 4 for them & if you get there late & greedy ppl show up b4 you they will take over all the space. Luckily for us they took half the box & we all had a great time. We were allowed to take a small cooler & food so that was helpful. The weather was so hot but somehow everything was shaded by the time the concert started, I would recommend this place 1000%!! ***WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES*** A co worker was not able to attend the Air Supply concert and gifted us his front row seat tickets. *Score!* Boy am I happy we went... but let's get into the important stuff *LOCATION: The way up to the venue is through the neighborhood way up the hill *BRIGHT SIDE: Beautiful view **location not ideal for people who can't get around very well*** *PARKING: don't bother getting a car wash because the parking lot is all dusty dirt. Also, its "Stacked parking" which means you need to wait until the cars surrounding yours need to move first before you can get out. *SOLUTION: Show up a early and park along the ends over by the exit Go with plenty of time, an open mind, and patience!!! There are buses taking people (probably up and down the hill) but I have no idea how that works. Also. They're dropped off near the bathrooms not up to where the stage or seating are *ALCOHOL: "Special events" = you can't bring your own. They sell wine and beer there. Expect to pay $16 for some soda wine or whatever THAT was (ugh).** If the event isn't on the website calendar it's a special event ** *SOLUTION: Some people get very creative. They do a quick "search" of what you're bringing in at security but not thorough by any means. Very bring your own goodies friendly *wink, wink* *DRESS CODE: Ladies, dress cute but comfortable. I would absolutely not recommend high heels. The hill is STEEP!!! If you must either wear small wedges or bring a pair of sandals. It gets a little balmy and dewy at night. Especially on the grassy area. *KIDS: Totally family friendly because there is a grassy are where they can freely play in. Please be respectful and make sure they aren't running over other people's picnic blankets or hitting chairs. *CHAIRS: Nobody is going to confiscate your soccer mom chair but honestly, the low back chair is way more comfortable. You will end up wanting to sit on the edges because that's the only place your high back chair won't feel like it's falling forward. *BETTER SOLUTION: Bring a thick blanket and sit on the grass. You're going to stand a lot to dance and cheer anyway right? Or.. the bathroom!! *RESTROOMS: There's- of course- a line! Always a line! It's located way at the bottom of the hill behind the refreshment stand. I'm telling you, don't wear anything uncomfortable, you'll be sorry. *FOOD: Some provided here. Bring your own if you can. *there are several picnic areas provided *BETTER SOLUTION: Get to Burbank early and have dinner at any one of their awesome restaurants and then just bring grapes, nuts, or a bag of chips Again, this is not great if you can't climb a little. I'm very disappointed with starlight bowl. As many times I've been coming here (a resident), today was a big mishap. Many older people and handicapped were left stranded under the drizzle because somehow the shuttle did not know that there were two other station for pick up. The security and a couple of the starlight bowl didn't even know or care where the shuttle drop off was. I don't like to play the discrimination card but I wonder since is a Latino show. First off, if your GPS tells you there is a faster back route, do not take it. If there is an event, they will literally block off the street so only residents may pass. Don't waste your time, just go the normal slow way. Parking is really bad. It reminds me of the parking at Hollywood bowl where they have rows and rows of cars lined back to back. With this type of parking, if you try to leave early, it would be impossible. You have to leave with the crowd and hope everyone in front or behind has already left. This is an outdoor venue. The seats are arranged from highest to lowest (lowest being the floor section, being the handicap area). The seats are really really terrible. If your seat is in the middle of the row, you have to walk all the way over a ton of people. Those rows are kinda long. The seat numbers are on the top of the seat, making it really hard to see especially at night. On top of that, there are no actual physical chairs. A row is like a really long bench with numbers on top. There were no ushers. There were people in our seats and we had a nightmare trying to find someone to help us. First I went to the police officer. He directed me to customer service. Literally no one was in the customer service booth on the inside. There was one person serving people (will call) on the outside. Went to the ticket collector, she told me to talk to another officer. This officer directed me to another ticket collector. Finally he was able to help. So because there are no physical seats and the numbers are printed on top of the bench, it is almost impossible to see in the dark. And when there are people physically sitting on top of the numbers, it makes it really difficult to identify the patrons that are in the wrong seats. So the sections are kind of confusing. There is an A section and an AA section. The front three sections, behind the floor handicap area, are labeled A, B, C. Section B is actually centered to the stage. I thought it would be section A. I was genuinely excited to check out this venue. It's outdoors and smaller than Hollywood Bowl. I thought the experience would somehow be better. In actuality, it's worse. read more

This was my first time visiting the Starlight Bowl- I was invited to a Marachi music event. The event was scheduled to start at 7pm and we arrived at 6:15pm. As we drove in we were instructed where to park. The walkway to the venues entrance is a nice little steep incline workout so wear some hiking boots then switch to the heels ladies! Ha! Drinks are expensive! One Modelo $14, Cabernet $16 and order of churros $5 totaled to $36. The show was great ! The sound was fantastic! We sat on the 2nd role and had an awesome view. Overall, venue is nice and intimate with great sound. Venues capacity is 5,000. The venue was nicely staffed with security officers. Restroom visits were quick -thank goodness to the abundance in toilet stalls. Leaving the venue was not a nightmare which was another plus. The way Starlight Bowl operates was great in my opinion. read more

First time at this venue and had a great time. I don't understand why we were at a standstill in traffic waiting to pull into the parking lot for 20-30 minutes. It was 5:00 and the instructions said gates open at 4:30. I don't think the parking people arrived on time because it looked like there were only 20-30 cars parked when we parked and that's how many cars were ahead of us. Other than that, the walk up the small hill is nothing- I'm not sure why so many reviews complain about the parking and walk. It's a helluva lot better than the famous Bowl. Why people take so long at Will Call is beyond me. How hard is it to give your name and show your confirmation number? The poor guy dealing with people who aren't prepared. The venue is small so you have a great view of the stage no matter where you sit. Sound was great further back from the stage- I was able to go up to the stage during the concerts and the sound was not good up close. Much better from our seats- GREAT SEATS again with Goldstar. Tons of legroom and you can get out of your seats without bugging others too much. We moved to the center so we could have more elbow room and stand and sit as we felt like it. I think they're fiberglass benches and they don't get cleaned- don't wear white. Some older people were actually wiping them lol. Unfortunately the concerts did not garner a big audience, but the bands still played their hearts out. Both performances were fantastic; BOC did an encore of 3 or 4 songs. The guitar solos were amazing. Old and new hits. Felt like I was watching a club act with sound checks, stage rearranging, and a very comfortable atmosphere- like it was in the "old days." No security telling anyone to go back, stay out of the aisles, and no concert goers getting uptight over anyone standing up in front of them. We are definitely going back. read more

The two stars are simply as a thank you for having a venue to have an amazing show, everything else is horrible here. The show, Modern Talking, once in a lifetime, history in the making but thats about it. This is located on the hills in burbank, you have to get through residential streets, and by streets I mean only 1 street practically leads to this venue so it took us at least 45min to drive 3miles. Some people decided to hike up this hill and boy were they sorry they did, most were taking rides from strangers who were going 3miles an hour. The parking is stacked parking meaning, every single car is literally a foot apart on all sides practically so good luck getting out if the cars on either one of your sides havnt gotten out. The walk from the parking structure isnt too bad to the venue if youre ok with walking but for most people (elders) it is not that easy and they only had 1 tiny bus going back and forth. One restroom outside, 2 stalls for women for such a large venue? Ridiculous. But Im sure there was more inside, just didnt end up using it. Ok, so the great thing is you can bring your own sodas and snacks and YOU SHOULD because I spent half the time of the show in one line only to purchase beer, wine, coffee & the nastiest cheese sticks ever. Literally everyone was complaining about the lines, I mean, have more booths, hire more employees. People are purchasing these items to have a better time not to spend most of their time standing in line. No joke, I missed one full band performance and half of the other band simply because of this. I do however like the idea that anyone can walk down to near the stage and get close to the performers without worrying about crazy security and whatnot. My family went to concert on 8/20/2022 for Thomas Anderson & the modern Talking Band Featuring Sandra &Live Band. We have 4 seats on the in section C row U. The seat between 28 & 29 has big crack. We can feel the bench move up down every time people sit down or up from the branch. It is very uncomfortable during the concert. During the Thomas Anderson show. The bench broken to half . We almost fall down from the seat. We unable to sit down anymore during the concert. It is really bad experience. read more

This venue is very nice but whoever is in charge of parking and the will call process should be fired. We spent over 30 minutes crawling in a line of cars to park and close to an hour just to pickup the will call tickets. Food was overpriced too. I won't come here again. read more

Terrible experience. Takes forever to get to parking. 30-40 min traffic to get to parking within maybe one mile road. Unpaved parking. Dust. No marked parking spaces. Long uphill walk after you park. Very difficult. After the show you are stock forever. Waited 10 min for cars next to me to move and another 15-20 min to get out of parking. No assistance in regulating cars for exit. No lights. Extremely slow progress towards the exit. Its like forever red light. Both entry and Exit strategy very poor. For handicap its maybe a nightmare and struggle. One thing was good, the venue was very nice in the open but again exit was horrible. You may move 3-4 feet every 5-6 min interval. My girl and I saw Air Supply on 8/16/19; the concert was amazing, crowd control never existed, We had handicapped seating, but had people standing behind us all night interrupting our enjoyment. We paid to hear professionals sing, not old overweight fans, that have no business trying to sing. If you don't respect your lack of talent, respect those around you, who paid/pay good money to see professionals that have talent and ability to entertain. If you buy a ticket for seat at a concert venue, be curious of your fellow concert goers, and use it, sit in YOUR SEAT!!!! read more

First time here. Parking is $10. The lot is unpaved but not a big deal. It's not stacked like it is at the Hollywood bowl where you truly can't get out. Here there was enough room to back out and leave. Very short walk to the bowl from the lot. I was there for a special event so I couldn't bring any wine. I did bring a cooler of food though. Once you're in, there wasn't really anyone to help you find your seats. But I figured it out. My seat was right in the middle section B. It's a small arena, so you can get a good view. We decided to sit on the grass at the back instead of our assigned seats. So much more room. I brought low chairs because of the instructions but I saw people with regular high chairs. This event wasn't crowded so it wasn't an issue. Don't know whether it's allowed all the time. Later on there weren't any people at the area with the chairs and tables, lodge C, so we moved down. Nice "secret" concert spot in the summer that a lot of people who don't live in Burbank have never attended. We like the tribute bands -- Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty recently were amazing -- if you sit far away enough it's almost like the real thing! Probably one of the best deals around with $15 dollar tickets AND you can bring in your own food, wine, or beer to most shows. Sound system is excellent and much less hassles than going to Hollywood Bowl and dealing with the mob scene there. I went to see BONNY M and Thomas Anders from Modern Talking on 8/14/16 and had it not been because of these 2 great bands that I grew up with, I would have given no stars ....if I could!! A Sunday on the lawn drinking wine and snacking on appetizers from Trader Joe's while listening to my favorite cover bands. Nothing can beat it! Beautiful to be up in the foothills overlooking the city. Great place to enjoy a summer evening. Worth the hike up. Ticket prices go up every year, but they are still a deal. Super accessible. This hidden venue is as impressive as are those big ass bushes flanking the stage! It's like a miniature Greek theatre with a lawn area at the top. It's small compared to other venues but nonetheless impressive. For several reasons. 1.) the evident police/safety presence. 2.) NO SMOKING! 3.) the recycling areas includes a composting heap. and 4.) you can bring your own beer and/or wine and food. I was here to see the Fab Four and sat in the lawn area. It was a nice show. I mean as nice as glorified Karaoke can be and considering they kept the song list very G rated... (its a little strange that these dudes have groupies, but that's a musing for another rant altogether.) The crowd was a mix of older people and families with their hordes of children. This place is so intimate that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The lawn area is so steep that at the very edge where the lawn turns into trees, you still have a good view of the stage. The only problem is really the acts or talent that this place books. Aside from the philharmonic they have Frank Stallone and Eddie Money and some other such forgettable acts. It would be awesome if some relevant talent performed here. But its probably for the best. I doubt the hipster set can go 2 hours without smoking a Parliament. The other MAJOR bummer here is the stack parking. read more
