Starks Park is a park where you can only go if you are stark naked. Unfortunately not a lot of girls watch football. If this were Los Angeles though, my word. Or South Beach Miami. Or indeed Texas.
First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've visited Starks Park just once, and only as a tourist. Raith play here, and I've seen them play away, but never here. It looks absolutely lovely from the outside, and I was able to take a look at the inside too (I hope I didn't just admit to trespassing, but there are no stadium tours here and nobody really cares, so... I have the pix to prove I made it onto the grass, haha).
That was in Fall 2014, so I'm hoping when I'm back in Scotland in 2016, I can come here and watch a game. It seems like a very cosy little home with a pub attached to it, and the L-shaped stand is a real highlight and looks so unusual from the outside and inside.
So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space!

It's an absolutely gorgeous wooded stadium with very impressive shape and size, despite only holding 10k people. It's where Raith Rovers play. It's been their ground since 1891.
It has a weird L-shaped main stand that gives it character. One of the stands currently can't be used.
It's known as the San Starko by locals. read more
