McDiamond Park is owned by McDiamonds, a fanous "fast jewels" chain which has the symbol of the "sparkling arches." They have franchised all over the world, including building a city named Perth in Australia, to mimic the one here in Scotland.
But not really.
First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - my concert in Perth went fairly well, so the following morning, I stopped by the footy stadium as I usually do and hung out there for awhile. I used wifi in the parking lot, walked around the grounds and even got to sneak inside (as I usually do at the smaller grounds, and it's not too hard. That's what she said).
It's a decent new stadium (new-ish, opened in the late 80s), and I took pictures and imagined what it would be like to see STJ play here at some point. One of these days, I will. I'll be back here, that's for sure. I think if the stadium gets upgraded and expanded it will be more likely to be a four star, though. It just looked a little small and incomplete when you get in there.
So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space!

This is where St. Johnstone play, and opened in 1989 and is very colourful.
It cost 5 mil to build and can host nearly 11k.
This was in fact the first purpose built all seater stadium in the UK. It's a nice stadium, but it has open corners, lacks atmosphere, and gets less than 3k on average to games. read more
