We did have to wait about half an hour to get in but it was well worth the wait. The play area is well designed, fun, educational and good value for money. The play area is great. I had a three year old and a seven year old with me and they both had a ball. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Although the place was really busy, they were all smiling and nothing was too much bother. And the tables and chairs were good quality and comfortable - unusual in a soft play area! There was a long wait for food because of the volume of lunch orders but the food, when it came was excellent. There was a wonderful choice of healthy options and the portion sizes were generous. When the food arrived it was hot and well presented. The play area was safe and well secure - I had no fears that anyone could get in or out without permission from staff and the toilets were clean and well equipped. I was impressed with the stickers to encourage children to wash their hands too. Overall, I cannot recommend Time Twisters highly enough. Although it is a little pricier than some other soft play areas, it is worth the extra cash as both parents and children have a great time. Well done Time Twisters!

Party game was musical statues but had to be abandoned because the CD player kept jumping. The party food was simply greasy pizza that hadnt been cut up, chips and crisps. It was so disorganised, unprofessional and utterly shambolic. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

It's a great place to go if your kids are older than 5 I would say...they have no real system for monitoring who is coming and going with kids which to me is a big scary deal. Anyone could leave with a child. There appears to be no policy to ensure that that child is meant to be with the person they are leaving with. Given that my son managed to give us the slip makes the thought of what could happen here not worth bearing. The food is average. And it is kept to a moderate standard of cleanliness. I don't think I'll be going back until the kids are older.

There is a cafe but it was closed when we were there. Entry is free, and there are stations to wash your hands. I didn't see any employees while I was there though, just a couple of other tourists. It was pretty empty so I felt like I had everything to myself. I saw some cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, lambs, and they were all adorable! You can't feed them but they are so friendly they sometimes let you pet them.

Walking around seeing all the animals was great and taking some photos of my experience. The weather was so hot, it felt like my head was burning a bit. Very impressive what I saw from goats, chickens, pigs, birds and many more. The young goats where so cute, I wanted to fit one in my pocket lol. I would recommend this place to anyone, if you love the outdoors and animals. The Edinburgh Zoo is a wonderful, large zoo with a lot to see. I would suggest arriving early to…read moreavoid queues and large school groups. The property is really large and you will certainly get a workout in as it has plenty of steep hills. I was disappointed that the pandas weren't out for viewing during my visit. I wish the zoo would have made that information available before I bought my ticket. The highlights of the zoo were the giant anteaters and the tiger sleeping pressed up against the glass viewing window! The view from the top of the hill at the back of the zoo was great too. Overall, I was really pleased with this zoo. The only thing I would change would be adding more signs around the property. Everything is so spread out, so it can be quite tricky navigating your way around. There weren't many staff out and about, so there aren't many opportunities to ask for directions.

If you live locally or come to the city often, sure, make your way to the zoo eventually. They have some great events: social for new parents to meet other new parents, afternoon teas, photography workshops, and more. They are home to more than 2,500 animals including: camels, monkeys, pelicans, zebras, highland cows (...obviously), giraffes (a four back of bachelors named Arrow, Gerald, Fennessy, and Gilbert), a red panda, tigers, meerkats, a bear, a very large penguin pool with LOTS of gentoo, king, and rockhopper penguins (you can watch them live on the zoo's website!), flamingos (their oldest one was born in 1961!), and more. Unfortunately, you won't see all of them when you visit: I would say about 30% of them weren't there (for various reasons: rehoming, new structures being built, vet visits, it was the wrong time of day, etc.) when I came. There is, however - and this won't make sense unless you've seen it - an unexpectedly LARGE dinosaur presence here. IYKYK. Thankful for the conservation work they do here and in the protection of endangered species around the world, but I'm not sure this is a spot I need to have repeat visit at.

It's got a municipal feel to it - don't expect spa quality or vibe. Still, it's affordable and important for the local community as there are no other facilities like this nearby unless you get into private gyms, which come with a silly price tag. There's a huge amount of parking, along with cycle storage.

Also the 'arm' that picks up the pins and puts them back for the second throw knocked pins over several times (we were on on lane 5). Especially frustrating if someone almost throws a Spare and then there is no last pin! Also only 3 seats per lane which is way too few! Because of the wonderful price when the special is on, I am still giving it 3 stars, although I would give 2.5 if it was possible. But I would be not happy if I had paid full!

First-Hand Experience: I wasn't treated very well here. The Rugby game was thrilling, not because of the action, I don't like Rugby, but because of the intense, packed, passionate crowd watching their home team of Scotland. What. A Thrill. Just need to get to Hampden for a Scotland game now. Also, the employees of the stadium were not particularly friendly at all. So this is really a 5-star stadium, and the only reason it receives a deduction is (1) the stewards were very unfriendly to me, and (2) it doesn't have a footy team playing here. It's too good of a stadium not to. I'm really not into rugby, and when a facility like this doesn't have a team, it's just a shame. Hearts or a new team should play here, I would think. Or Scotland should play some games here. They did watch Hearts play a friendly here against Barcelona to a sell out 58k crowd, but come on, what about on the regular? Anyway, it's one of the crown jewels of Scotland and is truly impressive and modern with 67k people able to get in here, and it looks a lot like the San Siro.

For any Doctor Who actor with the exception of ... because really, no one liked him very much. And 3. The All Blacks. Yup. I'm a secret rugby junkie. And by secret, I mean not at all, because I will bring it up at every possible occasion. But when I found out the All Blacks were playing Scotland a mere few weeks after I landed in Edina? Well Edinburgh, you're officially stuck with me you beautiful, serendipitous devil. Here's what I learned at Murrayfield Stadium: 1. The Scottish rugby team is much better than I was expecting. Calm down. This doesn't mean I didn't love them from the beginning - i'm from Canada, have you SEEN our team? And I loved THEM. So shush - I like an underdog. What I mean is that Scotland held it's own against the All Blacks when I was expecting them to be crushed. Call me a new Scottish superfan... 2. Scotland is cold. Bring a sweater. 3. The line ups for the ladies toilets are as bad in Scotland as in Canada and you should definitely not wait until the last possible moment or you're going to be stuck uncomfortably dancing in line. 4. The food selection is surprisingly good for a stadium. Tip of the hat to the food trucks. 5. As is the beer. Though it will come in strange plastic sippy cup bottles that will make you feel like a teenager. 6. Bagpipes are always delightful. 7. Scottish fans are perhaps the nicest people in the world and will stick to the bitter end to applaud their team instead of ducking out in the last ten minutes to try and beat rush hour. It's nice. All in all, this was one of the most pleasant stadium visits to date. It's exceptionally busy and the line ups for everything are super long - but it's stadium. What did you expect? However, the decent beverage selection and promise of BBQ'ed meats, take this place up a notch. I look forward to many a fangirl moment here to come.
