Sky Transmission and Automotive has proven to be the worst automotive repair company I have ever…read moreworked with. The transmission in my 2011 Mustang began having issues, and I purchased a low mileage (+/-40k) transmission through another company to be installed by Sky Transmission. Upon receiving my car, the vehicle was throwing a check engine light and leaking transmission fluid, inevitably leaving me stranded two hours away. When contacted, Sky transmission was willing to take a second look at the vehicle, for a charge, and I was essentially told that it is likely a failing transmission. Upon hearing this, I inspected the vehicle myself, to which I noticed the upstream 02 sensor pinched inside of the transmission. Despite paying for a vehicle diagnosis, sky transmission failed to do their job and I had to have another shop reseat the transmission and replace the damaged 02 sensor. After receiving my car and paying upwards of four hundred dollars in related repairs, I called Sky Transmission and provided documented proof that they caused the issue. Jeff verbally admitted several times throughout the duration of the call that he is aware his shop damaged the 02 sensor and caused the issue but would not do anything at all to make the situation right. I was told that had I taken it to sky transmission a third time they would have fixed it free of charge, but this is grossly misleading. Not only did Sky Transmission cause the original issue, but they were paid to diagnose the vehicle and still did not notice or offer to do anything regarding the pinched sensor, including cover the price of the part only. I have attached to this review a picture of the damage caused by Sky Transmission, along with receipt for the installation performed by Sky Transmission.

I took my wife's car to Sky after being referred to them by our son-in-law. I called them and the…read moregentleman said bring it in at 1p.m. We showed up about 15 minutes early, while they were having lunch. The crew there were very friendly and very helpful. The problem (I thought) was the transmission shifting slowly, after getting warm. They diagnosed the issue quickly and discovered the catalytic converter was clogged and needed to be replaced. I requested a cost estimate and when could it be done. The cost was considerably less than a transmission and they said they could get on it right away. We said go ahead and we got a ride home. Later that afternoon, we got a call saying it was ready for pickup. Speedy, friendly and cost effective service. Very good guys. Thanks Sky Transmissions.

Had my transmission fluid changed here while visiting and two days afterward the fluid had entirely…read moreleaked out and the car had to be towed in for the work to be re-done. I left the state to return home and within two weeks the transmission fluid was once again leaking profusely, and being out of state I had to have another mechanic once again re-do the job (properly this time). I've been trying for days now to work out a refund of the work Midtown Auto did, as it was done improperly twice and I've now had to pay someone else to fix their mistake, but despite all the promises of the mechanic calling me back, he never does. I'm still trying to get my money back from them, so I cannot recommend that anyone else spend theirs here. Edit: I did receive the refund finally, which is appreciated. However, the lack of professionalism in not returning my calls for a week and the work failing twice to the point of endangering my car still leave this shop as a Don't Recommend from me.
