Whether the sun is blazing or the breeze is cool, we find our precious cargo chilling comfortably in a cooler, waiting for us. And oh, the eggs! Each carton is a treasure chest, unveiling a beautiful array of spotless, perfect eggs that are nothing short of a visual treat! We are absolutely smitten by them! They have become a staple in our kitchen, starring in numerous recipes that we whip up constantly! We usually get 2-4 cartons at a time, and the payment process is a breeze with Venmo. Right before the eggs are put outside for pickup, we make the payment. It's as simple as that! So here's to many more years of this wonderful egg-venture with English Rose Farm!

Our time in Boulder County was brief (just shy of two years), but we spent much of it at English Rose delighting in Rachel's collection of rescues (of note, a wild donkey and spirited mare), prattling goats, and Scottish Highland mamas whose calves enriched our visits and guaranteed the unexpected. Our drives to-and-from similarly offered wildlife sightings, particularly springtime's nursery of kits and cubs and the odd awkward moose calf! If you are a Boulderite or live out at Lefthand, don't miss English Rose.

There were four of us fishing and they provided two guides which was perfect as we had someone in our group who had never fly fished before and he was able to get more 1:1 instruction from guide Ryan. The more experienced anglers went with Joe, both guides were incredible and worked their butts off to get us on fish. We booked four hours and it was nonstop action from start to finish. I personally landed somewhere around 30 fish with some of them being serious toads, I broke my personal best several times during the day. The guides were willing to be as hands on or hands off as we wanted and provided tons of great insight and knowledge to use on future DIY trips. Having fished all over the country this was honestly the best four hours I've ever spent on the water and can't wait to make an annual trip out of it. I'm sure these guys would take care of you on a summer trip but if you get a chance to do a winter trip don't sleep on it!!

How I found this hidden gem was solely based on the luck I had today. I simply wanted to go on a hike where I would avoid other people. And this place is exactly that (or I picked the right day with very few hikers and bikers.) Cloudy Sunday afternoon, the temperature was in its upper 60's. When I got to the Ethel Harrold trailhead, there were only two other cars parked. And this is a very small trailhead (just so you know.) This Walker Ranch loop is a loop but it's QUITE lengthy. if you take the whole loop, it'll eventually take you to Eldorado State Park. I didn't go that far as I started late (past 2pm.) I took the right turn simply based on my instinct when the trail split on the way. If you take the right turn, you'll come to a very tiny (mini) cascade to your left. There is a good elevation gain so it's a great trail to get your cardio going. I occasionally jogged where the trail wasn't so steep. When I reached this vantage point where there was a bench, I made a u turn to come back to where I started. But the view at that vantage point was absolutely breathtaking. During this time (mid June), all kind of colorful wildflowers decorate both sides of the trail so you'll have ample opportunities for photo taking. I'd say it's beginner and family friendly especially the first mile or two. Since I didn't get to see the rest of the trail, I can't really speak for the rest of it, however. If it gets too difficult for you, you can always make a u turn.

Wasn't that an entertaining response: allow me to retort:…read more 7 hours on horseback, you're kidding right! The food issue with my bride, you're got to be serious, it's simple food, and you have a "classically" trained chef that don't know what night shade foods are, that should sum things up nicely. I even emailed you that just grilling veggies (which we brought and were NEVER USED) would make her happy. Again, your staff don't know how to make a simple Quinoa salad, but you'll accommodate special food requests!. I really don't get the whole cook being with us x number of years, not sure how that equates to cooking potatoes. The email he adds was in response to his email asking what she could eat and clarification (kinda like taking an excerpt from the middle of a book). The room, is a joke, I never picked the room. How do you pick a room ya never saw. That was a suggestion from Tom over a phone convo. nuff said. I agree, horse back riding is NOT my cup of tea, never said it was, don't think for one second that review came only from me! OH NO, this included feedback I got back from other guests. I gave up Big John because ANOTHER GUEST asked to ride him, know your facts Tom. I switched again because my wife could not handle the horse she was given (due to her RA), AGAIN, know your facts Tom. Seriously, I was determined to had a bad time, seriously. There's a wow moment. Brought our own veggies that were never used and had to be thrown away, brought 2LBS of venison that was never used, brought venison summer sausage that was only offered up when I asked what happened to it. Curious, Tom, ya ever saved the markers I made for the Chiefs circle ring or the medicine man's ring? My bet is, no. Let's not talk about what I did for the ranch and staff. The saddle I used was terrible, tack broke on my wife and one other guest while we were there. No attack on anyone, a honest comment on the tack. Really don't matter to me if ya get an individual that fell in love with a horse. I certainly loved "butt eddy" (my name for Buddy), doesn't change my review. Funny he never responded to an email I sent days after our arrival home, but leave a review that is not glowing and holy crap! If ya check TripAdvisor for reviews, ever wonder why there is not a SINGLE bad review, think about it. See my review, only mentions staff, there's a reason for that, TripAdvisor is very picky with they way you state things, one wrong word and they deny the post. Simpler to just state the good. I'll stay with my review, it certainly wasn't worth 5K. Time to move on

We travel a lot and have never been treated so well. The room was fantastic, cozy, rustic, and very comfortable. We did camp fires at night and we had a blast shooting. How else do you get a rounded cowboy experience after a long days ride? When it comes to the food....outstanding. My husband has gluten free needs. Jake and Sheila in the kitchen fixed some amazing meals and they were able to totally take care of us and our diet requirements. While they juggled our needs and those of other guests, our comfort was always a priority. The horseback riding was incredible. When I booked, Tom told me we would be in the saddle about six or seven hours each day, and we were. We did a cattle drive, we rode through canyons, prairie, worked with the cows, learned how to rope a cow from our horse, and generally got really good at riding. The wranglers were awesome! We are already looking at coming back to Colorado Cattle Company next year, and excited to do so. I honestly have no idea what Keith was talking about, because I know that we had a great time, Tom and Darcy are amazing hosts, the staff is wonderful, the horses and the riding is great, and we could not be happier. We highly recommend Colorado Cattle Company if you want a real horseback and working ranch experience.
