I had a fantastic time. The place is a little hard to find but just call and ask. He is hard of hearing so don't mind the stern voice. It was an experience like nothing else. It was so hands on (so incredible hot with the 2100 degree ovens), I got to pick my color and he guided every step of what I was doing course correcting when I messed up which I totally did. He is stern in his teaching but don't take anything personal. You are dealing with literally a slow moving liquid, near and in 2100 degree ovens and his sternness comes from wanting you to stay safe and also produce something truly beautiful yo can be proud of. Will definitely go back and recommend to my friends.

The venue is air conditioned which is not typical for glass blowing shops (at least that's what I have been told) so that's huge as even with it being air conditioned in there, it was still pretty hot. They have a wide variety of items to make and take home (pipe, air plant holder, shot glass, marble, plant water feeder, etc). They also limit about 4 person per instructor so you're not spending a lot of time on downtime. The biggest thing to mention here is that Miles, our instructor, was phenomenal! He made sure we fully understood everything and was very personable too. I would give Glass Class 5 stars just for him!

The basic experience gives you hands-on experience selecting the frit and fusing it into a glass bulb. From there, the staff help you to form it into the shape you want -- ornaments, terraria, shot glasses, pipes, you name it. The staff were very friendly, very sociable, enthusiastically supportive, and good teachers. We worked a lot with Miles, and he was excellent. The overall experience ran for about 2.5 hours (plus I'll need to drive over tomorrow to pick up the final and cool glasswork), and it was enjoyable from beginning to end. I look forward to future visits.
