My husband and I have seen some great exhibits here including Ansel Adams and Chihuly. Today we went to see the Mask Exhibit which is in essence a fund raiser for the museum. Local artists all design a neutral mask with their own unique sense of artistry. There were some really impressive displays of artistic talent. My two friends and I made a 3:30pm appointment here last Sunday, and when we arrived it was pretty full of crafty folks. We were able to choose whatever project we wanted from about 12 choices, and within those there were dozens of different patterns to choose from. All of the options were so cute! I opted for a bottle opener with a wolf nail art, so I got to choose my paint colors, string colors, and the wood board it would all go on. The owner and his wife were also incredibly kind and had helpful tips and tricks. It took my friends and me about 2 hours to complete our projects. And the best part about Extra? It has a great selection of wine and beer! I sipped on a Maxline Raspberry Basil while painting, hammering, and stringing. I can't wait to go back and make another thing!
