Brought 2 dress shirts in yesterday for my travel tomorrow. I was told they'd be ready today around 4:45PM. I arrived at 5:00PM and was told they had not returned yet. The clerk Kaisha (sp?) was totally dismissive, uncaring, unsmiling, no greeting - just a stone face. I hate employees like her. She needs a job with no public contact. When I returned around 6:15PM, the shirts were there. One of the shirts is completely unwearable with deep creases in the collar area, the other one is far below acceptable. Check in and pick up went smoothly with friendly service. Items were cleaned within a few days and done very well.

Worked there as a store manager for 3 years and got fired for taking a 20 minute smoke break and didn't clock out (like everybody else does, even the owner and other manager themselves. I know because I've smoked with them on many occasions). Was yelled at and harassed while being fired because I was crying and did not understand why I was being fired. Was harassed and watched until they found a good reason to fire me AFTER I trained my replacement who told me they planned to fire me. Wasn't comfortable working with someone and CONFIDED that to them (DUE TO PAST sexual harassment THERE from fellow employee) and they told him how I said I was uncomfortable and did not want to work with him. Then I got a 2nd job and it became an issue for an unknown reason. Still put Starcrest 1st, ditched my other job many days to pick up for Starcrest because they had been short or had call offs. Was never the same since. Was a hard, dedicated worker and completely changed the Sheridan location for the good (my regular customers would say the same because they are upset I was screwed over because they knew what a hard worker I am) Many ways I was screwed over and still loved my job, the employees, and the customers and worked hard. Their loss, not mine. I will take my experience and knowledge in dry cleaning to another cleaners. read more

I will never go here again, nor recommend the place. The pricing was similar to where I visit back home, so I thought I would give them a chance. I took in a 100% wool suit skirt for them to clean. When I first picked up the item, none of the creases in the back had been removed, there was a blue fuzz all over the skirt, and they had used SAFETY PINS to fasten my skirt to the hanger. They had also pressed a seam improperly, so it sat wrong. I immediately took it back in after inspection and pointed out the problems. When the skirt was picked up again, they still had not removed all of the wrinkles in the back from sitting. To make it worse, their only solution to not use safety pins was to fold the skirt - this only left numerous other wrinkles in the skirt. I have NEVER had a cleaners not be able to get all of the wrinkles out. I have also NEVER had a cleaner that did not have the plastic clips to fasten the skirt to the hanger. Beware with your business clothes at this cleaner [and I would assume all locations will be similar]. read more

Very pricey and half of my clothes were damaged with stains which I know could not have been me since the clothes had all been worn once.

I brought a black dress to this Starcrest location about 2 months ago. There is a policy Starcrest cleaners has where if you bring in a garment before 9 am it will be ready after 5 pm the same day. I brought my dress in at 8 am, came back after 7 pm and was told my dress was not ready. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available and that they would let my dress dry overnight and have it ready for me the next morning. I was already very upset due to the passing of a family member and the employees rudeness to me and the fact that they did not do their job as their policy states didn't help. I came back the next morning to pick up that dress for the funeral later that day, and was still made to pay full price for the dress. I felt that the handling of the situation was very unprofessional by the employees and that they did not follow their company's policy. read more

Took my comforter in here to get cleaned. I asked if they did in house repairs because we had a tear in the comforter, they said they had to send it out so I told them never mind. They called me when the comforter was finished to let me know that they had just sent it out to the tailors. I let them know that we told them that we did not want it sent out, they said we are so sorry for the mistake and went and picked it up from the tailors for us. They let us know that if she did already repair it that they would pay for the repairs and the cleaning. When I picked up the comforter it was not repaired but was cleaned they paid for the cleaning anyway. Great customer service excellent management I would recommend them to anyone they go above and beyond what they need to do and that's what a good business should do.
