I've never had such good service at a Chinese restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. It can get busy so I recommend making a reservation here. We ordered the $168 lobster combo. It's a great value, it comes with a soup, veggies, lobster, scallops, chicken and desserts. Everything is so tasty and portions are generous. They have two locations, this location sells bakery items as well. There's also a lunch and breakfast menu which I will definitely be coming back to try. Highly recommend this place!

What a gem! This place is located at bayview and Hwy 7. It is right across Loblaws and next to Tim Hortons. Since it is pretty new, the Sunday night dinner is not busy. Also the menu looks a bit pricy, but each dish is huge. I ordered a marinated duck set dinner for 4. All dish is tasty and in large portion. Although it costs $108 but I guess it can have 4-6 person portion. Every dish is tasty. Beef and broccoli, shrimp veggie, soup and even cake dessert like tiramisu are great! Friends also ordered satay beef with veggie in fried rice noodles. Everyone praised the noodle fried is crispy and chef paid a lot of attention to make it. We also ordered soy sauce chicken is well made The other side is bakery. Although each bun sold expensive, but it always has "buy 2 get 1 free". Hence it made more reasonable price. There is lots of parking. 6 of us paid $32 include tax and tips with 6 dishes and fried noodle and we have to use 3 big box to take leftover home.

Starchiva delight is the second location of starchiva restaurant serving as a cafe/bakery/restaurant. Between the two locations, I actually prefer this one as the service here is unbeatable. This location is not as fancy and smaller but service is amazing and they are so generous with their desserts. The quality of food is also the same, if not better in my opinion. Our favourite is their lobster set meal that's shareable among 4 adults. They have breakfast/lunch service with bakery goods for sale which I have not tried yet, but I'd be interested in checking it out next time around!

Super good customer service, we feel at home when we are greeted. We are three people group and they let us to sit at a table for 10 as there were no other empty tables. The gesture won 5 stars from the beginning. We ordered sour and sweet pork and five flavored duck, unfortunately the duck was sold out (although it was only 7:30pm at the time) then we changed to Vancouver crab with vermicelli which was quite tasty, but we just wished the crab legs could be cracked open by chef before serving like other seafood restaurants do. The cost was $28 per pound, so we got one crab about 2.6 lbs, the crab itself costed almost $100. We also ordered the shrimp and scallop with veggie, substantial size of fresh tasted shrimp and scallop, good to order. Sour and sweet pork is as normal, crispy outside, no complaint about that. So we only ordered 3 dishes, dessert and tea was complimentary. The total cost with tax and tip comes at almost $200. Not a cheap meal, it may be a better choice to order than Vancouver crab combo at $148 with more dishes and better dessert.

Good food, like a HK cafe. There is a bakery inside too. Went on a Sunday at noon and it was about a 5 min wait to get started. There are combos which comes with a drink. Will come again.

Good food, very good service, and good ambiance. The Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple and Peppers were good. The Lobster E-Fu Noodles and Lobster Fried Rice were both good. The Green Bean Dessert Soup and Cake slices were a great way to finish the meal.

To be honest, it is not perfect in many dimensions: It's not spacious and feels too greedy to have too many tables. It is not a good place if you really want to have an elegant environment to have your meals. The servers are a bit aggressive. But despite of all those disadvantages, I still give it 5 stars because it has the PERFECT food! I almost dropped some tears when I tasted my first bite of the dish I ordered, stored fried beef with tomatoes and eggs. I think what it does best is that it adapt its dishes to use the local produce and meat, and still keep the legit HongKong food flavors. My wife ordered the stir fried instant noodles and it was full of pepper, mushrooms and soy sauce flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to have meal with friends or family (but not too many people since it's small and crowded. You can go to other coffee shop to chat

Ordered Wing Tai Signature Steamed Chicken-$16 - Looks like hainese chicken as there are generous amount of green ginger onion on top of chicken. Not exactly meaty, and texture was alright and it comes with a steam rice and choice of soup or hot beverage. Got Satay Beef Instant Noodle set with luncheon meat + scrambled egg and crispy bun w/ butter condensed milk- $14 -standard taste and such F14 (Fried Noodles w/Beef)- $15 - Didn't really get the wok-hay and the colour is a bit light. Beef was nicely sliced thin and noodles tasted fine. One thing I'd say is their hot sauce by the tableside is quite tasty! Milk tea tasted standard as well. Service was fine too. Not a big space, but can probably seat 25-30 people.

The menu here is reasonably priced for the HK cafe food that's available till 5pm. We were impressed by the huge portions & surprisingly good flavours. Baked Fish Fillet w/ Cheese & Cream Sauce was savoury & arrived hot loaded with crispy fillets. Fried rice underneath filled the large oven dish. Curry Beef Brisket Rice was stewed well to achieve really tender tendons. These are still two of our go-to dishes here. We did notice the environment gets loud from time-to-time, when it's fairly packed with patrons but some have split to the new rice roll spot nearby. Skip it or hit it? We will keep moving back and recommending here to our friends for the authentic and hearty HK cafe food.

Its sign is very eye catching for us or the people who read Chinese. A big red sign saying "蘇good" which is a pun joke because it's pronounced like "so good". We finally got a chance to visit it and we're definitely not disappointed! The prices of meals are reasonable. If I recall correctly, it's like $50 for three dishes. For a decent dinner table like that, it's not cheap but okay . Each dish was cooked very well. Delicious and had wok hai. There will be a dessert after the meal, a bowl of tofu flower for each person. That dessert is a true hidden gem. Silky smooth and moderate sweetness and perfect warmth. I wonder why no one mentioning it before, it is very good. We can come back to this restaurant just for the dessert.

We ended up getting the ham macaroni soup with a cheese ham sandwich combo, along with the O Street signature beef sandwich and fries from their new menu. Despite how busy it was on a Saturday, the food came out at a pretty reasonable speed, which I appreciated. The macaroni soup was just okay, very much the kind of simple comfort food that fills you up, but nothing especially memorable. I was most excited for the signature beef sandwich, but it didn't fully meet my expectations. The burger/sandwich itself was smaller than I imagined, and it only had about 2-3 pieces of beef brisket inside with marinated bell peppers and their homemade sauce. The sauce leaned sweeter than expected, which might work for some people, but personally I was hoping for something more savoury and more generous with the beef. However, the brisket was tender, which was a win... ish. Overall, still a decent spot if you're craving classic HK cafe vibes and variety, especially for a casual meal with family.

We ended up getting our order at 5pm which was perfect as it was the time we originally wanted anyway. We went for the Dinner for 4 menu, which came with 4 egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken balls, chicken chop suey, beef with vegetables & almonds, B.B.Q chicken wings, and fried rice. On top of that, we added sweet & sour pork and wonton soup. The staff even gave me a heads-up that the Dinner for 4 menu is more suited to a Western palate (maybe because I was ordering in Chinese?), which I really appreciated. Honestly, everything was so tasty. The flavours were on point, portions were generous, and it all held up really well for takeout. Tables were nicely spaced, although loud, you can still talk and enjoy the pots - Service time was very attentive - and checked on you a reasonable amount of times to ensure you were having a positive dining experience. The white pepper chicken was AMAZING , and it felt like the chicken kept respawning inside the broth, because it felt like we never ran out of chicken (portion was very generous). The rice wasn't bad , I'm not a huge fan of claypot rice in general, however this one had good flavours and the crispy rice was just right, without tasting burnt. They also offer a smaller $52 option for two people and individual pots for solo diners. We added extra meat and vegetables, but it honestly wasn't needed. Portions are big and great for sharing. We even had leftovers to take home. Great value for the quality and portion size. Definitely a spot I would come back to for authentic Chinese comfort food.

Less noodles in comparison to the beef brisket. I would get this next time. Both soup dishes came with veggies which is nice (and not the frozen veggies--peas, corn, green beans). We originally ordered the hk style toast from the afternoon tea menu, but they suggested ordering off the regular menu, since we had 3 complimentary drinks and only 2 people. It's $3 cheaper and has an extra slice of bread. I didn't appreciate the extra slice, until I saw that they put pb in between each slice. While that was appreciated, the pb didn't reach the edges (about an inch in). Came with a big piece of butter on top. Nothing exciting, but if I were craving it, I wouldn't stop myself from ordering it. We came on a Friday. It was pretty empty, we could choose our seat, but it's always busy on weekends for dinner. Service is quick as expected with little customers. Restaurant looks like an old Chinese restaurant, but has the staples.
