HOLY. FUCKIN. HELL! So I've come to the Starbucks around this area for a while. I always go to the one on Phoenix but today we were in the area. I had just woke up and I was MASSIVELY craving Starbies, I normally have this complicated order for a coffee shaken espresso but I decided on my Matcha Latte with 6 scoops. HOLY HELL. I wish I got the girls name but she complimented my partner and said this is how she NORMALLY gets her matcha drink as well. And WOW. She made it PERFECT. It's so delicious and creamy. It perked me RIGHT up. I had to give compliment so my partner said "she said the drink is amazing" for the girl to see me in the back of the car just thumbs up and pointing to the drink. I AM OBSESSED. I need this girl to be my barista FOREVER! I got an impossible breakfast sandwich and it was just pristine and piping hot! I admit when it closed last year I was so confused because its location was perfect. Then they reopened WITH a drive thru! I love this because sometimes when driving from school to school and I have a craving a drive thru is way more convenient and less tempting for me. My son had a vanilla Frappuccino and no picture because he downed it pretty quickly. He said it was really good and everything was crushed (we have had ones where there were still big chunks of ice still in it). And my daughters looked amazing and she said it was very good as well. This may be the first Starbucks I've ever given a 5 STAR rating. But hey, when going all the way is deserved I'm willing to give up that extra star when it's warranted. After three early recent morning visits I'm just downright impressed. Located in Salem Crossing which has awesome road visibility on the corner, but that's where it stops. Getting in and especially out pretty much stinks with logistics of the parking lot. There is no way to easily exit onto the main road. The lot and walks have been tidy and this morning landscape crew was blowing off the sidewalks and patio. The store is average size with sweet leather seating up front that I would love for my home. Large windows allow indirect sunlight to flood in. The tables and floor tidy. Merchandise is on the smaller side, but organized with shelving clean. Tables are in the center with the rear being a combination table booth. Their is one section of the booth cushion that is broken down and needs repaired. I'm unsure if it will be fixed with a pending move to another location to install drive-thru in the future. Outlets for electronics are scarce. On each visit the all female staff has welcomed me with a big hello as I entered the door. They are small enough that they recognize their regulars too which is fantastic! Since they do not have a drive-thru this allows for more personal attention. Also the Starbucks Mobil app is in serious full swing. They have it down pat with drinks at the bar, then customers pulling up to retrieve. I rarely use the app, but I believe this store has perfected it with training and educating their customers on its use. The lead barista Dana is one of the best things about the store and the reason they get the extra star from me. She constantly smiles, knows her customer orders never minds striking up small talk. The rest of the morning crew I have encountered is just as strong. My standing order at any Starbucks is a Grande White Chocolate Mocha and if time I get it in a "for here" mug. Something about a mug makes it taste better. Each time they nailed it! I have only got one food item and asked for my everything bagel to be toasted on a plate "for here". The bagel was warmed up nicely with side of cream cheese. A trip to the restroom before departing found the lavatory tidy with proper supplies. Just outside the facility their is a book exchange too! I'm all chips in for the Lynnhaven Parkway Starbucks. In my opinion the bar is high for other stores to top the customer service I've experienced and witnessed time after time. Friendly and speedy staff. Inside, this *$ is just like others with coolers of drinks and pastries ready to go, plus baristas prepared to get you that dose of caffeine. In the afternoon, the Verona Blend aka Blonde is pour over only but it's still good. It just takes longer. Great tables outside, all marked with a clear "no smoking" sign. This location is ALWAYS poppin, almost any hour I go. Lots of people either relaxin', holding meetings, holding clubs, knitting, whatever... I've never come and seen the same barista. I don't come all the time but I come frequently enough. My recent visit was today and to my great surprise, I noticed the parking lot was brightly lit once again. I can't tell you the last time it was bright. I'm glad they rectified that issue. Plenty of parking though!! My drinks always comes out perfect. Never have a complaint, never had to request a re-do. And more importantly, they're efficient and quick. They keep the line moving when there is one, and I appreciate that. read more

I usually order ahead, and they always get my order right. I've never dealt with an unfriendly barista here. The people behind the counter actually seem to want to be there, so the reviewers complaining about it being noisy, like the dude a few years ago fussing about the barista singing, need to remember that it's a restaurant, not a fucking library. If you've got work to do or you want to read, get your coffee to go! It's good to see people who enjoy what they do and are happy doing it. The only quibble I have about this place is the parking lot-it's all the way down at the end, so you have to drive through the Chik-Fil-A traffic if you go in the main entrance-go in from Princess Anne Road and you can turn right in. But be careful turning in, because of cross traffic from the Taco Bell next door-people are too busy snarfing their tacos to watch where they're going. read more

I stopped at this location for a light breakfast & coffee. I had a grande pikes peak & a bacon egg Gouda sandwich, which is always wonderful. My son picked out a chocolate milk & strawberry banana pouch. In the refrigerated case I impulsively picked out 2 bistro boxes. One was the fruit & cheese box which was on point. The other was a chicken wrap with coconut peanut sauce and grapes. I was very disappointed with this. The wrap was completely soggy, and the grapes were mushy and old. The sauce was pretty good but was useless without something to dip it in. I'd come back, but will not be buying any boxes. Oh, and it's extremely confusing to get in and out of. Horrible! Horrible service at this location! Ordered from the app and was told I wasn't allowed to order that way even though the app allows it! I was told I needed to pay an extra 4$ to add an extra splash of milk that I already paid for on the app. Seems like there is no professionalism at that store. Both manager and the barista with the accent are very immature. Not to mention the barista with the accent was cursing at the manager and she cowardly backed down. Location: Right near Walmart, good if it is during the day during the week. I would not go here in the evening, on the weekend or during the holidays simply due to the proximity to Walmart. It is tough to get out of the shopping center during those times. Seating: Small location, 6 or 7 tables I think. Noise level: Loud when crowded. I am not a Starbucks devotee or loyalist but I do like this particular location. It's not the easiest to get into since it sits back in a corner of a busy shopping center. As for menu, it's the same as any other location but it never seems too crowded and the employees are typically friendly. My middle school son and I have started a tradition this year where we stop in here every Tuesday for some dad/son time before I drop him off at school just down the road. So, perhaps it's not Starbucks, the location, or the employees I look forward to but the time with him. Regardless, this is my location of choice and I like it. Check it out. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location on this side of the 757. I'm not quite sure what sets it above the rest, but I'm positive they make the drinks better here. (Maybe it's all the love they use...) Seriously, my drinks have been better. I like that they know you by name. It has the feel of a small town cafe with the professionalism of a corporate chain. Again, pretentious high priced coffee but, this branch is a cut above the rest. Earlier comments talk of employee churn however, there are a couple of the baristas that are extremely friendly and professional that have been there for several years. They don't get all uppity or condescending if you don't exhibit a masters degree in Starbucks favored snobbery language when ordering a cup of coffee. The site is sometimes challenging getting in and out due to the poor traffic through flow from the Wally world and Chick-Fil-A returning to the Lynnhaven feeder. THe drive is often packed and the starbucks lot, shared with another business, is not that large as well as compacted by those pretentious snobbery drinkers that need a refresher course on courteous parking. The cafe has been recently remodeled. In the afternoons the tables are full with this popular site. In the end the coffee products are the same as any other Starbucks. What makes this a 4 star (5 if the a little less expensive) is the people. I have yet to run into a bad barista at this branch unlike all the others in Hampton Roads. This location is a little inconvenient as far as being lodged in the far corner of a shopping center parking lot with one entry/exit that is comprised mostly of Walmart traffic. They do not have a drive-thru so walk in you must. However, I have yet to visit there when they didn't get my drink right. I like Starbucks but a couple of locations near my home forget additional items I request regularly and I have to send the drink back to have them added. Most of the employees are happy and friendly. They are speedy, yet efficient. It's worth walking in to get your frappe! read more

I live near three Starbucks and this location -although as no drive thru :( - has great customer service, they're fast and the BEST part they make the BEST caramel fraps (my fav) and other drinks I've ordered are great as well. They give generous portions and easily customize your drink. I also like it because it's not uber packed like some other locations although the area it's in is busy. Always had a great experience at this location. I haven't been inside, but the drive through experience is great. I always order ahead on the Starbucks app, pull up to the drive through and let them know I'm picking up a mobile order for "My Name", then I pull up and grab my drink. The payment is handled automatically through the app, kind of like Uber. It's a great way to speed things up. Also, if you order this way and go inside the store, you get to cut the line. read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for 10 years now. I have obviously received good service here because I continue to come back. I have seen the staff change more than I care too but hopefully these barista's have moved on to bigger and better things. They have a great selection of products in the store, a nice selection of baked goods, your typical selection of hot and cold drinks that are always done just right (I get the best pumpkin spice latte's here). They also over free Wi-Fi so I have found myself hanging out here doing school work as my house was a little to load with the kids running around and the wife giving me my honey-do list.
