Efficient and Friendly I stopped at this Starbucks location recently while in the Tuscaloosa area for business. I'm an early riser and loved the fact that this Starbucks was open very early. Although the Drive-Thru was full of cars, the staff inside took my order quickly and I received both of my modified coffees in under five minutes. The location is clean, well-stocked, and well-staffed and the staff are friendly and professional. read more

First visit, just off of I-20. Plenty of seating plus this location has the screen where you can see the mobile order queue which is still a novelty to me. Bathrooms super clean. Our drinks took quite a bit longer than normal (my name was on the "Order Received" list for a loooong time) but the barista started chatting with me and all forgotten--she was very nice and upbeat and produced a perfectly acceptable triple grande cappuccino (my always and forever order.) We appreciate the consistency of Starbucks on our road trips and this location checks the usual boxes! read more

When you visit a business more than once, twice, three times a week employees are just not employees they become more. People like Managers Xandrea and Jack are wonderful . Others like Dakota, Emily, Jay, Krishan, Kalsie, Mathew, and Jdimie just to name a few that make up the team that works together to put a smile on your face after that first sip you take from the awesome drinks they make. Seeing their smiling faces are what helps a person whose had a hard day or week find some joy even if it's just briefly. Here's saying "Thank You" for a crew that works hard to bring you happiness even if it's just in coffee. Keep up the good work guys. Looking forward to seeing y'all again real soon. Dropped in on my road trip home to my parents. It was really meant to be a bathroom stop only- Starbucks bathrooms are clean. I have been trying so hard to budget but I remembered I had a free reward. Yay to me!!!! It was chill yet cheery. Great location. The staff greeted me upon entry. Other patrons were busy reading, chatting, and sipping their lattes. It was very clean. I ordered my tall almond chai latte no water and gave the barista my name. He spelled it correctly! No "e" added to the end and no "j" in place of the "y". I took my drink and left. I was happy! read more

They never have enough baristas or people working so you're going to wait for at least 20-30 mins for a mobile order. Do not recommend this Starbucks or any Starbucks in Tuscaloosa. read more

I literally placed an order at the wrong location. I walked in and when they told me they didn't do online orders, I was disappointed. I asked for directions to the correct Starbucks and almost in unison, they were like don't worry about it. We'll just make it here. This is what I call excellent customer service!! read more

This is one of the lazy Starbucks that don't mix their drinks. Even when not busy ! Lazy generation.

My first time at this Starbucks. My order is always the same: 2 iced chais with an extra squirt of chai in each one please. Starbucks puts 6 pumps in normally, so with an extra squirt that makes 7. Yesterday I got my order, tasted it and asked the barista, did you put the extra pump in these? No, she said, we only put 2 pumps in, but here let me take care of those with some extra. I went back again to the same location today and the same thing happened. I asked the barista if he used 7 pumps. Yes, he lied. Clearly it was again only 2 pumps. And when I asked for a refund the barista at the cash register didn't even care why I was asking for a refund, which shows just how much this Starbucks outlet cares for its customer service. My advice is: if you're looking for a good chai and an honest barista, do not come here. Try the Starbucks off of McFarland by the CVS- their chais are always top notch! read more

My wife and I go to this location of Starbucks weekly, we always get the same thing, 2 coffees a cheese danish and a cake pop for our toddler. Well this week we forgot to order the cake pop so I asked if I could add that to our order (which we have done before) the guy at the window cut me off before I said cake pop and said "noooooo we are too backed up right now" I said " for a cake pop?" Because I know you just have to grab it. He said no we are too busy. I also ordered a decaf pumpkin spice Frappuccino but he gave me a cream based coffee instead of an actual decaf, he didn't ask if I wanted cream based. So I asked if I could swap it out and he again said no... awful. I wish I got his name but he had a beanie on and this happened on 11/11 between 11:30/12 read more

The people here are so friendly and welcoming. Absolutely love it. I feel like this is my second home.

Im writing this review as I wait... Both Starbucks in Tuscaloosa are absolutely worthless but this one is BY FAR the WORSE! The since of urgency, oh wait! There isnt any! Im watching the Barista, que a shot, then steam milk one drink at a time and at a snails pace!!! Whomever trained her needs fired as this is NOT the SBUX way! I used to work for SBUX (not in this state) and I know what should be happening and how drinks should be made. I actually took a video however, it isn't allowing me to post it. Well, here I stand NINE minutes later (still waiting) and Im the only ine in the lobby waiting. Oh and to boot, they only have one barista for BOTH the drive- thru AND lobby, at the busiest time, and someone who has NO CLUE what she's doing! Are you kidding me right now? This is BEYOND Ridiculous!!! Make that 10min and STILL NO COFFEE! ITS ONE LATTE FOLKS,ONE!!! 15min later... read more

Worst customer service asked for oat milk the shaved headed boy with the mullet drop back hair cut - didn't listen to a word we said about our drinks and was gonna use straight plain milk when I am highly unable to drink milk. He just kept looking away when I was simply telling him my order that was an easy order. Then I ordered a tea and said light sugar and he didn't hear that either. Good thing I caught it on my receipt or I would have been super sick just by simply using my money to buy a coffee at star bucks that boy doesn't deserve a job or at least get him off the register he might can clean the bathrooms or something because that was nasty also. read more

I stop here every week. I don't have issues with my order. However, there is almost always No Customer Service! I order ahead so there's minimal interaction but I always speak a Good morning, Good afternoon, etc and there's NEVER a response. My voice carries so no one can claim they didn't hear me. I say Thank you and yet still no response. What are these people learning? Only how to do their basic jobs and zero customer service? I just don't understand it. Starbucks, do better! read more

I am visiting from arizona to come see my friends and we went through the drive through and a girl named jasmine (i think) didn't repeat our order when my friend asked to repeat it. She said she was helping another customer on the phone yet in this world you are ALWAYS to help the person you are looking at not taking to virtually. She gave an attitude the whole time when we were ordering. Her only explanation was she was short staffed. Thats a bad excuse for starbucks. And guess what! I understand there are certain restrictions for Covid but I placed my order on the app for pickup and was told to join the mile long drive through line. While in line I saw a white lady in scrubs walk up to the door and the workers inside brought her order out while I a young black woman and and young Asian man were turned away. This is unacceptable. The preferential treatment may have not been racial but it certainly seems that way. read more

Everyone loves Starbucks. It's a coffee go-to. And I don't write Yelp reviews. Ever. But this location deserves an immense amount of praise. I come here several mornings a week for coffee before work. The baristas are always so friendly and accommodating- honestly they're one of the best parts of my morning. A couple of weeks ago, I came to Starbucks for my morning coffee and wanted to grab a bite for breakfast. Unfortunately, they were out of several of the items I was interested in and I ended up not getting food. BUT the barista continued to try to please my picky taste and then ended up giving me my coffee complimentary as an (unnecessary) apology for being out of the food I wanted. Then today, I came here to do some work during spring break. The staff was friendly, as usual, but was literally over the top with customer service. They checked on me throughout the evening to see if I needed anything, offered to get me coffee refills, and even gave me my second latte discounted when I eventually ordered one. When my refill order got lost in translation, Stacy gave me a gift card for my next coffee as an apology. She even let me try some of her Frappuccino creation which was freaking dang good, let me say. This Starbucks location is out of the way for me. It's about a 20-minute drive out of my way in the morning and there are other, more convenient locations. But I will continue to make the drive out here to come here because these employees are phenomenal. Cheers to you guys. Thanks for making my day better, one latte at a time! read more

Took 20 minutes to get my order and was only 3rd in line on the inside (1st in line ordered 2 drinks, which she received 3 minutes apart and not because it took that long to make the other drink, and 2nd in line ordered 1 drink). Mobile and drive thur orders take priority over people who walk inside, no matter when they place their order. Then, my order was taken incorrectly. When the barista started making my order, I stated the fact she wasn't making it correctly and the rest of the conversation went very sideways. She made several eye gestures and never acknowledge my comment. I explained I would walk her through making the drink. Still, she said nothing just more eye gestures. At that point I said "you can make all the facial expression you want, I know how I like my drink". She said "I haven't said anything and you can't see my face". I said "I can see what your eyes are saying about your facial expressions". She then stated "I don't have to deal with this" turned to another barista "can you help her? I don't have to deal with that". All of this happened after I asked what was taking so long to make the inside orders. The manager did try to explain that everyone makes the drink differently. Some add the water first and others add the water after the milk. Well, according to the Starbucks manual, water is ALWAYS added first. It's a tea...water is always added first to help steep the tea and bring out the flavor. Excuses are useless in any situation when the customer tries to explain how they want their almost $6 drink made! This experience is just another reminder as to why corporate Starbucks are not worth patronizing. Last time ever. read more

Just a quick note to compliment the team at Starbucks in Tuscaloosa. I'm in and out of Starbucks around the country everyday. I particularly want to compliment the red haired (definitely not the hair im complimenting) kid that took the orders. This is the right guy to be engaging with customers. I was here for about 45 minutes and he seemed to put everybody in a better mood (including me) than when they arrived. As the saying goes, 'people may forget your name but not how you made them feel'. The team was much the same, seeming happy to be there. I don't often enjoy take the time to do this, but I should. read more

Checked the closing time of the location before going. It closes at 9. Got in line at 8:15 after finding out the dining area was closed. Waited 13 minutes. This is the best Starbucks I have ever visited in Tuscaloosa. 99% of the staff are extremely nice and they make the experience more than amazing. A few of them remember customers that are visit frequently and they take pride in servicing the customers. I actually enjoy spending my money here and I don't mind leaving tips for the baristas. I frequent the drive thru, but the service does not ever lack and the atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable. If I ever have a problem with my drink, they do not hesitate to correct the problem. If the mistake is minor, I don't even worry about going back and this is due to the barista being extremely friendly and nice. I would recommend this Starbucks to anyone. read more

I went in today to order my niece a "TikTok drink" (apparently it's all the craze for kids on TikTok". When I ordered the drink- the barista told me that "No one wants to make these drinks, because it's a pain". I knew the exact recipe so I wasn't sure what the issue was. I was hardly asking her to recreate the wheel. Her attitude was poor. I'm sure people order these crazy drinks all the time- and I'm sure some are a pain to make- but that isn't the fault of the customer. If the barista isn't there to serve the customer- she may be in the wrong business. We are from out of town- and I can assure that this wouldn't happen at our local Starbucks back in California.
