I'm surprised the reviews are so low, but this was as expected for a Starbucks. The interior was nice, although not as cozy (like soft chairs/couches) as some other locations. Ordering and drink creation was quick. The menu selection/display isn't my favorite (could be confusing for a newbie) but that isn't location specific. I did want to try the lavender creme Frappuccino because why not? It's not a common flavor. It was more fruity than floral, like I was afraid of. I like when there are seasonal options, and this was worth a tall-sized try. Since this is in a downtown area, parking may be tricky. Sundays are free, so that's a good day to park and come or come over if you're visiting other businesses for a quick caffeine pick me up. read more

Came here for a short trip from Brooklyn and this place isn't clean! It was also disorganized. I saw an employee come from the back walking behind the counter with a bright red pink wig, hair down on her chest, she had nail polish too (against Starbucks rules), I saw all of that and was grossed out that we walked out before even ordering! Anyone in the food service industry should ALWAYS have their hair tied up and conscious of cleanliness & good hygiene! Years ago I had a brief job at Starbucks in NYC while I was in college and I remember the rules of being an employee, HAIR MUST BE TIED BACK & NO NAIL POLISH.. we're not only handling coffee/beverages but also food so to prevent from hair or nail polish chipping off and into the items being served we had (understandably) strict hygiene rules! He was very patient and energized which is refreshing for Starbucks. He also used common sense... When I asked for a grande tea with one teabag he didn't offer to give me the other teabag to take home as occurred at the Starbucks by my house... This establishment does not get enough credit. I was skeptical about coming after seeing the concerning about of stars it had, but the service was very good and quick with staff that was extremely friendly! I came in today to purchase a Venti cup of iced water with 3 scoops of Matcha powder. I was rung up by a bitter old lady who then tried to charge me for an Iced Matcha Latte (around $3) when my original order was only supposed to be 85 cents. I told the lady "I didn't order that. I only want green tea powder in Iced water." And she bitterly replied "it's company policy to charge for a custom drink a full price." I told her that a man yesterday made that exact same drink yesterday for me and only charged me 85 cents, since the Matcha powder is an add on item. I didn't get any kind of milk from behind the counter, no coffee, no sugar, I JUST only wanted 3 scoops of Matcha powder in some water, since I'm on a cleanse. She then said "Well, that man is sadly mistaken. We don't do that." Then I walked out without my 85 cent drink. I called corporate right after I left and asked them if it's really company policy to charge a full price for a custom order. The lady on the phone was confused, because it's NOT company policy to charge $3 for a drink that's only supposed to be 85 cents. I'm sorry, bitter old lady, but the man yesterday was not "mistaken". You are. Green tea powder is an add on item, so I can get it by itself in water. Update! Thank you Starbucks for restoring my faith in customer service. I came back in this morning to express my dissatisfaction yesterday with a wrong order. You believed me, and replaced my drink in haste. Even got a refund, in form of a "Recovery drink," on my next visits. You can't take back my caffeinated headache, but the smile is on.. ........ First off, I've bee calling the the last five minutes, but nobody is picking up the phone. Even after, I up and call again immediately. Two, I was just there, ordered the hot drink with apple spice...Asked about the ingredients, and emphasized STRICTLY no caffeine. The cashier gave me reassurance that it is no caffeine, the only cumbersome ingredient (to me being caramel --I accepted my fate). We all know Starbucks, so I don't really have to give this a traditional review so much as I am going to give it my musings. I loved when they opened this SB location because, frankly, I think Stroudsburg was the last place to get one besides that town in North Carolina that had the population of 10. What I also loved was how the minute it opened everyone's inner coffeehouse lushes came out. Any given day brings the same group of people that should and ARE at every SB whether you're in Boston, New York, or little ole Stroudsburg. The group of college kids with their whipped cream topped drinks. The mom with the stroller getting her Skinny Moccachino. A guy in a suit. The loner sitting at the laptop smugly sipping their latte typing away at what looks like it could be a screenplay but is more likely Facebook or Yelp, which just so happens to me today. This SB happens to be pretty quick too. My only suggestion to the Starbucks chain as a whole is: Sell Newspapers. I've always thought coffeehouses and newspapers go together like peanut butter and jelly. Is that just me? read more

Let me first say that I am not a fan of this overpriced and underwhelming chain but sometimes, any port in a storm. Walked in on a recent Sunday to a larger than normal space and the usual hobos and eggheads buried deep in assorted laptops and tablets. Most of them didn't have coffee and were eating food from outside takeaways! What's that all about. These idiots need to be charged rent. Next was the group of people waiting for their iced wankachinos or what ever. The alleged barista got the mix wrong and all their orders were thrown in the bin much to their disdain. So this turn of events really ramped up the whole standing in line thing a few notches. The server who had more ink than a deskjet left the person she was serving mid sentence and walked over to consult the "recipe" book with the so called barista. "But I followed the book" he was heard to say. So now these two clowns are studying the book, completely oblivious to the notion of customer service, as the line gets longer and the punters huffing and puffing audibly increases. Another behind the counter staff member was leaning against the wall texting on his phone. He actually looked up, saw the line of customers, grimaced and kept right on texting!! What the hell is that shit about!! This company really needs to have a good hard look at the quality of the morons they employ and someone needs to replace the HR department. To add insult to injury, across the order menu was scribbled "run out of brewed coffee". Is this place for real, it's a damn COFFEE shop. I got a latte there today that was ordered with sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup, as I am a type one diabetic. I'm pretty sure it was not the sugar free, as my blood sugar is currently 400 and still rising. It's Starbucks. Nothing else really needs to be said. I gave it 3 stars because, well, I'm from Seattle, and we recently moved to East Stroudsburg. I have never had to drive more than 5 minutes to find a Starbucks at home. EVER. I have to get on the freeway, or is it interstate, to get to Starbucks, that in itself is something I never thought I would have to do. So I guess I am blessed that I am able to find one out here in the land of Dunkin' Donuts, because I can't stand their coffee. I will brave the freeway/interstate if it means I don't have to have DD. The staff here is friendly, and they make it just the way that it's supposed to be. If there were to ever be one in East Stroudsburg, well, that would make me a very happy girl. I took my 2 daughters to Starbucks in Stroudsburg today and of course because of COVID-19 they were doing their part and wearing mask as should everyone else, as they were walking in there were 2 guys walking ahead of them with no masks on while everyone else was and should, one of my daughters made a comment about it and was told that they would have to step back outside because they were supposedly up to capacity, but they let the 2 guys that had no respect for anyone else's health go in and order, oh did I mention that my daughters are Hispanic and the 2 guys were White!
