Great customer service! I collect Starbucks state cups in my travels. Since they aren't always available I now call in advance. When I called they said they would set aside a cup for me. They did and I was one happy camper. There was at least 2 others I called that didn't have it. read more

I like this Starbucks. However, it's hard to maneuver around the drive through. It's close quarters as I was worried about hitting the curb or ripping my mirrors off my truck. Another time that I visited I couldn't find a parking place. I had to park in the back. The problem is that there isn't many parking places at this Starbucks. Inside is real nice though. It's a normal Starbucks with fast WiFi and plenty of seating. I ordered a coffee and was waited quickly. I sat down and after about 30 minutes, one staff member asked if anyone in the dining room wanted a free Latte. Of course, I spoke up and began walking to the counter to get it. As I picked it up, he said that will be $5. I thought he was being sarcastic but then he said "I'm just kidding". I assume that somebody ordered this drink at the drive through and then drive off. The establishment is well decorated. I will say that however, as a 6'4 man with a beard I was greeted by a gentle woman named Teresa. Teresa looks at me and says you're not Cassandra are you and continues to make drinks she doesn't ask me who I am or what's my order name. After waiting for 7 minutes she serves 2 other people and calls out 3 other names. It takes another employee to come up to me and ask me for my name. I give her my name and as it turns out my drink has been waiting on the rack the whole time, it was done before I even got in the store. Service here is horrible! I came to this Starbucks tonight at 905 pm! I checked before coming and they said 930 pm! So perfect right? Wrong! They were extremely slow but I waited patiently just to get up there and they said oh we are close! Like really?! Then I couldn't get out because the way the drive way is set up and just to let you know there were 5 more cars behind me! When I came to the window and door they completely ignored me! It's too early to be up. You're tired. You need your caffeine (cause let's face it, why else would you be at Starbucks?). The last thing you want is a rude barista at the register, and the last thing you need is someone to mess up your order. These are not problems you'll have at Southaven's line Starbucks. Like most locations, a community becomes apparent if you come in often enough to discover it, which is something the staff seems to appreciate. If I haven't come in for a bit, someone behind the counter will remark that "it's good to see you." It's those kind of warm fuzzies that make you OK with spending $4 on a beverage that has no alcohol in it. The only gripe I have is with the parking (or lack thereof), and that isn't entirely Starbucks' fault, so no dealbreaker there. read more

If you're in the area and are craving a latte or hot cup of coffee, you're probably better off to head to Target and visit theri Starbucks cafe inside or to the Starbucks in Olive Branch. This business is just not up to par with the other two, especially the Olive Branch Starbucks. It is not uncommon to have to wait in line for 15-20 minutes inside. And the drivethru is horrible. Just the other day I pulled in behind just 2 other cars in the drive-thru and thought surely it would take not longer than 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, I was still sitting behind a car, waiting to pull up to the window. On the upside, the baristas are generally friendly, though not as friendly and welcoming as those at the Olive Branch location. The atmosphere is nice, and they have more seating availabilities than the other locations. However, this business just does not compare to the other two. read more

Where I'm from, our Starbucks doesn't have a drive thru, so I was a little hesitant to use one. I was traveling through the area from Jackson, TN to New Orleans, LA so I wasn't in the mood to stop, get out, get my dogs unsettled, and everything that comes with stopping while traveling, so I decided to give the drive thru a try. I am very pleased with my experience. The staff was very friendly, my drinks were made really fast, and they tasted great! Also, the landscaping around the store was so well kept! She then tried to charge refilling my tall Starbucks travel mug for a grande drink, claiming all travel mugs are grande size. Typical Starbucks in most regards, but staff is always friendly and cheerful. It's always nice to go someplace for a pick-me-up where employees seem to like their job! My one complaint is parking. If you park in front of the Starbucks, you're likely to get blocked into your parking space by cars lined up at the drive thru. There's additional parking on the side and back of the store, so just remember not to park in front, and you won't get trapped. read more

Went in the heat of Christmas shopping on a Saturday morning. It was crazy busy they got us quickly. They were all super nice.

I went through the drive-thru a day or so ago and ordered a frappuccino with an espresso shot, paid for it, they handed it to me, I drive off and take a sip. It tasted real bad. Like, not sweet at all. Not even a semblance of one granule of sugar. I don't know what went wrong, but I know what a frappuccino with a shot of espresso tastes like. I get it every time i go to a Starbucks (I even get a double shot if I need it, and it still has some sweetness to it, it's a FRAPPUCCINO). But, y'know, stuff happens! We're all human. I wasn't mad, I just wanted my drink made the right way so I went back through the drive-thru and explained to the guy that it didn't taste right and he told me to drive around. I get to his window and give him back the frappe. He looks at it and goes "Well you did get a shot of espresso, that might be it." I say "I understand that the espresso does have a bitter taste, but I get it all the time, this doesn't taste like it normally does. Sorry, I hate to be that person..." He says they'll make another and closes the window. Then a chick opens the window and hands me another frappuccino. She says "Here you go. I hope it taste sweet enough for you." but the look on her face and her tone of voice says "I hope you choke on this. I never make anything wrong." It was actually pretty funny to me. Not too long ago I was an angsty teenager too, I GET IT. Whatever. So I'm on my way again and I take a sip. They left the espresso out. Slow clap for you angry chick. No espresso?? I never would have thought of that! Check and MATE. Way to stick it to the man! That's going to be a story you tell your children and your children's children. But for real, I wasn't ugly to them at all (like any normal person should be) and I literally took two sips out of the drink, the second one to make sure I was tasting it right, so it's not like I drank half the thing and then tried to be like "THIS IS GROSS! GIVE ME ANOTHER YOU SWINE!!" while throwing the drink through the window. Whoever's in charge of this location needs to give some of the employees a crash course in Attitude Adjustment 101. Slow, unhappy - and some incompetent - workers. No matter what day or time you are going to wait far too long for your order. Drive-thru service is awful. Drinks are good, but don't come in a hurry hoping to get on your way. On the rare occasion that the store is empty you are still going to have to wait. I fully support hiring people of all ages, but am unsure if someone who looks hopelessly lost all of the time is the correct choice for cashier at such a busy establishment.
