There was a large party who ordered after we did but the barista prepared their order before ours. We ended up waiting for half an hour for 2 Frappuccinos. our drinks tasted like milk with some ice chips. They had no flavor at all. Would not recommend this location. read more

Oh boy was I glad to see a familiar sight on a long day of skiing. The Starbucks I know and love made my last couple hours at the ski resort perfect. They have a warm fireplace inside to sit by and enjoy your warm drink, read a book, chat with friends and everything!! The warm brownie, caramel macchiato, and passion fruit shaken iced tea lemonade were prepared perfectly. They were able to substitute the milk to whole milk without a problem and were very polite about it! I think it's possible more time was put in at this Starbucks to handcraft my drink then at the one in my area! Of course it wasn't the neatest Starbucks with little water puddles and dingy floor, but all things considered it was perfect. I couldn't expect much more in the middle of a busy resort. If you're a Starbucks lover like myself, make sure to hit the Starbucks in the Village during your stay at Snowshoe. read more

The line is always loooooong here, they are often out of popular snacks and baked goods, and they close earlier than expected. And take note that they do not accept mobile orders or mobile payments. They just tried to charge me $6.54 for a grande Pike Place coffee. That's not what it cost for my first 3 days here -- it was about $4.03 -- but that's what it cost today. I am told that anything more than a "splash" of half-and-half has an extreme extra charge. Never before in my life have I encountered this. I am stunned. I hope Mr. Starbucks reads this. There are many other places on the mountain, and in the village, to get coffee. Wow. Someone else (with 3 little kids) just left empty-handed because they apparently charge for water here. This is just REALLY bad publicity/image for Starbucks. I hope it is corrected, as I used to really like Starbucks!!! Finally, the hours at this location always vary (I have owned a condo on the mountain for 20 years). Currently (March/ski season) they close at 4 pm every day except Saturday and Sunday (6 pm). You should check. In the shoulder seasons the hours can be different every week. read more

The one thing this Starbucks location has going for it is LOCATION. It is the only coffee place I'm aware of in the village there. I was visiting for four days for the Wanderlust festival. This was my second year there - didn't get around to a cup of coffee last year as the lines were always long and my schedule was tight. This year, I waited until the festival was over - I wanted to sip a cup and relax as the village cleared out. I walked in and was the only person there. I ordered my usual - large decaf with a squirt of SF vanilla syrup. They said it would be a bit as they had to do a pour over. That was fine by me as I was in no hurry. The coffee didn't take that long to brew - a little slow but that's OK. What the problem was - I didn't find until I drank most of the coffee. The syrup was light - but not bad enough to return and ask for more. They also didn't ask whether I needed to save room for cream (NO) so it wasn't fully filled. So when I got near the bottom, I saw there was about 1.5-2 tablespoons of coffee grinds at the bottom. That seriously is a first for me. Of all the pour overs I've ordered, I've never had a K cup full of grinds at the end. Needless to say, I didn't finish my coffee. Nor did I return the next day before heading down the mountain. I also will not return when I attend Wanderlust again next year. read more

Upon entering Starbucks I was actually excited to see that the line was short today. First my order: 1 Hazelnut Latte... after 23 minutes waiting and witnessing 5 complicated orders AFTER MINE get fulfilled, I decided to ask if perhaps they did not hear my order. Instead I received a harsh "your next" and left with a cup of hot milk... worst Starbucks experience ever! Perhaps if the male employee would stop harassing his counterpart about how good she is with whip cream, they would be able to efficiently do their job. I'm a Starbucks fiend. Drink it daily. So I love vacation spots that also have one. This one is tucked away in The Village. Short store hours, but good WiFi and clean bathrooms. Right near the zip lining. With outdoor tables to hang out at. The inside was also spacious and clean. The staff was super friendly each time we were there, which was great since we encountered so many staff members at Snowshoe that were complete jerks and apparently hate their jobs. But these ladies were top notch and very welcoming! Glad this place wasn't closed like someone had reported on here! Needed that extra caffeine intake with all the things going on! Fun drive up the mountain as well, and you can grab your drink and ride down to the lake on the lift. Recommend on all accounts! read more

This Starbucks is very slow because of the amount of people but the drinks are amazing. The cashier was super friendly and happy considering the amount of people waiting. The other workers were not to happy and not calling out the orders loud when they placed for pick up. They do not do order ahead and they open much later than other Starbucks. Overall great to have at the top of the mountain! read more

This SBUX is one of the great standbys at Snowshoe. Not only because of the incredible indoor/outdoor fireplace that makes it a resort landmark. It offers wonderfully comfy tufted furniture inside with free WiFi. Outside, rustic tables and chairs surround the fireplace. The staff has undergone a superior transition and they are some of the most courteous and efficient people at Snowshoe. And the Starbucks now serves all sandwiches and conveniences that an urban Starbucks would sell. Best place for rendezvous location on the mountain. Outstanding.... read more

Terrible service...I guess it must not be a pain having to work on New Year's Day however that's not the customer's fault. Server by the name of November surely didn't want to be there today as she yawned when I was placing my ordered and didn't bother to cover her mouth. She was also perturbed with the fact that I did not ordered all food items at one time followed by drinks but instead mixed it all together. When one food item was missed and I had to return back to request it (after making the trip back to my hotel only to notice I didn't have what I paid for) guess who helped with cup full of attitude none other than November. Most disappointing Starbucks experience ever. Literally 5 baristas standing around looking at each other with only 1 making coffee. Manager stood by and just watched. The line grew to 20 people with no increased sense of urgency. Meanwhile one barista has friends walk in and she promptly makes them coffee and hand delivers before making coffee that was already ordered by legitimate customers. This is the worst experience I've ever had a Starbucks. I walked in, every single worker was laying on the floor behind the counter, I literally had to tell them that I was ready to place an order for them to then finally dramatically sigh and get up in distress. I then tried to order 3 different food items (they we're sold out of every single one). I then kindly said "I think I will try another place but thank you!" All the workers then looked at each other and very clearly started talking about how annoying that was. Then proceeded to stare at me obnoxiously as I was walking out. When you're freezing your ass of at 4,000 feet, you learn to appreciate Starbucks a little more. This Starbucks is perfect for: - Meeting up. It's centrally located in the village and impossible to miss. - Warming up. The fireplace and comfy chairs is where we parked our asses every day. - Drinking up. Your typical Starbucks menu. I decided to stand in the ridiculous line on Sunday afternoon. There is always a line of some sort. It's a Starbucks, its efficient. There were 4 people working and at least 15 people in line in front of me. The gentleman behind me suggested having an "only coffee" line. Something that one of the employees could have made happen. The space is decently size and it's attached to the lodging that is above it. The fireplace outside is a draw as well. I love my Starbucks. read more

They are trying, they really are, but they just have no clue what they are doing, so probably not their fault but poor training. When I ordered a "red eye", they had zero clue. I had to inform them it was just a coffee with an espresso shot. Unfortunately I wish it was a one time incident but it was like this for the 4 days we visited. Great Starbucks! It is a little crowded if you go around 4-5, due to the slopes at Snowshoe closing and all the skiers/snowboarders coming in for a drink, but the lines move pretty fast. It is also conveniently close to the lodges, so it's a nice place to take a quick break. read more

It's what you'd expect of a monopoly at a secluded ski resort. What choice do you have if you want a quick coffee or hot choc and didn't bring your own? Line was doubled back, and they were completely out of both mint and caramel brûlée syrups so had to order my 3rd choice in drinks. It turned out good though. You'd think they'd order more product during this holiday week. Had just a decaf coffee on another day - would rather have instant than that, but I've heard their coffee (not espresso drinks) is bad so to be expected. Heading to the tiny local store today in hopes of finding some instant decaf. read more
