We really enjoyed the brunch and drinks, though the cookies were a bit too sweet for our taste. Plenty of seating and easy street parking nearby. I got the raspberry lemonade and it was supperrrr refreshing. The Fatboy burger was pretty good and the size was ok for the price, but 4$ up charge for a small side of fries is crazy. The decorations and layout inside are nice, but I'm unsure if I would come back just for my lemonade. read more

The Wild Bean has been a classic for me for many years. They have lots of drink options, whether you're looking for a refreshing smoothie or a latte curated to your taste! I've tried their Italian sodas, smoothies, lattes, matcha, and a few of the craft drinks on the menu. The white chocolate dream used to be my go to (like ten years ago!) Their menu options are very good too, but the last time I came for lunch the menu was different in person than online. Hopefully that's been fixed. And there's a taco shop connected incase tacos are more your thing with coffee haha Their coffee is good and their breakfast burritos are delicious... so I've been told haha I actually just got an egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Whenever I am back home my mom and I come here and get breakfast for everyone else in the house. They have a wide variety of coffees and also smoothies. I always get their nitro coffee as it is delicious. There is ample seating in there as well. They have a spinach and cheese bagel that is really good and every day they have different muffins and other baked goods as well as you can order a bacon egg and cheese or other breakfast sandwiches. Worst Frappe ever. Did not taste or feel like it has any caffeine in it...ordered caramel and did not taste like caramel, and more expensive than Starbucks. We bumped into this place looking for a salad but instead found a vegan and vegetarian menu at a cute coffee shop next to a taco place. The vegan sandwich had to be one of the best things I have tasted - not sure what I was eating but it was good. I'm not allowed inside, not sure what that's about, probably too many people would want to scratch and pet me, and not order promptly. That would slow down business. But they have great outside tables for people viewing and will gladly bring me water. Everyone is nice, and I heard my pet saying the coffee is great, especially the nitro cold brew. Stopping in this town mainly known for its osteopathic medical school yielded one worthwhile place that was open on a holiday. People travel on holidays, so this is often a difference-maker. I ordered a matcha, which they were out of and I had a chai instead. The chai was subtle, but had enough spice and sweetness to become quite appealing by the end of my cup. I took a vegan burrito to go, and it was quite filling and had a nice variety of beans, avocado, potatoes, greens, and salsa. It wasn't too much, either. I had woken at 4 am, departed Richmond by 5 am, and had been traveling for I guess about three hours -- mostly through dark rain -- by the time I saw a highway sign advertising Lewisburg, WV, as the coolest small town in the country. It seemed like a good time to stop for a gas fill up and some coffee, so I hopped off the highway, filled up at the Walmart near 64, and searched for a local coffee shop that was open. The Wild Bean popped up as right downtown, so I routed myself there. First off: SUPER CUTE TOWN. I must return for a longer trip, like a weekend or something. Oh, my goodness. I ended up spending half an hour just walking around taking photos of the architecture. Secondly: The Wild Bean was worth the stop for sure. The interior was much more spacious than most coffeeshops and was so cozy/inviting. It's a place you could easily spend a whole morning catching up with friends or getting work done. I ordered a cold brew and a blueberry muffin. Both were delicious. I had the jitters later in the day, so the coffee was definitely loaded with caffeine. Served me well for the remaining six hours of my drive. The cashier was also super friendly and asked if it was my first visit to Lewisburg. Stopped in for a quick late lunch after arriving to town. The gentleman working at the counter was very friendly and gladly answered a couple of questions. It was close to their closing time so they did not have much as far as the take away options but I chose the curry chicken salad on a rosemary bread. It was so good!! Great flavor but I would have preferred a bit more chicken to bread ratio because it was just a lot of bread. That being said, I would definitely choose this sandwich again. We have been coming to the Greenbrier for over 10 years and today while waiting to pick up my wine across the street(IYKYK) we decided to pop into The Wild Bean. What a fantastic surprise! We ordered coffee and breakfast. First I have to say it was the BEST Breve I have ever had. It's not a complicated drink but man people can usually ruin it. This was the perfect temperature and texture. Simply divine. The house made bagel was excellent as well as the jalapeño cream cheese. AAAHHH!! Everything about this place is so nice and cool. The food selection is phenomenal. They are conjoined with a taco shop next door that you can order food from as well. Their espresso is very good, and they have a wide variety of syrups to add. You can also sweeten your drink with locally made maple syrup!! Reading through the reviews, I'm in agreement with a few things. 1.) best darn coffee in the area. 2.) limited menu that needs to be refreshed from time to time. One reviewer mentioned shakshuka should be on the menu - that would be awesome. And having made it, it's an easy dish.
