I don't get all the bad reviews. I've been here several times and they always get my order rignt, are fast, professional and friendly. It's in a large shopping complex; so it's near a lot of nice restaurants(Teriyaki Madness, Senor Taco, Rubios)and other stores. I never do drive thru though, just walk in. I subtract one star for awkward seating layout inside and less room(one long seat with all tables in a line). read more

My husband and I came here to order 2 mocha cookie crumbles. We have been doing a lot of traveling and needed a little "pick me up". We are not from here, we are visiting from Charlotte. We love how most of the Starbucks out here have drive thrus. That's not something we see a lot of where we live. Ordering was super easy and quick. Paying was even quicker. This was a new location for me as it's close to my new job. I ordered my usual drink which I've been ordering for the past 6 years. I ordered a Venti Iced Carm Macchiato stirred and melted. I also ordered a Chicken Wrap protein box. I got to the window and they handed me the wrong protein box and my drink had about an inch of caramel on the bottom. I gave back the drink and explained I wanted it melted and she took it back and two seconds later gave it back to me exactly the same. She told me they shook it some more! That's not what I asked for though! I again tried to explain to her what "melted" means and that I specifically stated that when ordering. I explained that I'd rather not suck on a blob of caramel on the bottom. At this point there is a huge line behind me and the barista continues to explain to me that I should "next time order it with light caramel and ask for it to be melted" WOW I just was very disappointed that I just paid $15.45 and I was told to do it correctly next time! What she didn't realize is that I did specifically state how I wanted my drink made. Starbucks, if you're going to offer customization with your drinks, then listen to how they are ordered and make it correctly especially when charging $7 for it! Needless to say, I won't be supporting this location due to the lack of customer service and compassion. read more

This location is fast and friendly. The mornings are a bit crazy during the week, which isn't abnormal for Starbucks. Sometimes the drive-thru can be a bit backed up, but on the whole they move the line pretty quickly. Every now and then it takes a bit, but I'm guessing this is more due to customers than staff. My drinks are consistently good and I've never had a problem with them getting my order wrong. As far as Starbucks' locations go - this is a good one! read more

Was in Scottsdale for a medical appointment & placed a mobile order for my stand by - Strawberry açaí refresher & a bacon Gouda sandwich. The staff was fast & courteous and my order was ready when I arrived. The only con was that seating at this location was closed due to COVID yet there was a maskless man sitting outside the door that you had to walk by to even get into the store. It appears as though he pulled a chair down from atop a table to have a seat at the storefront. The store employees seemed to not mind... howwver, I did mind. read more

The perfect refresher on a 99 degree afternoon: Iced caramel Macchiatto. I know the amount of ice in Starbucks drinks has recently been the focus of a lawsuit, but am sure if you wanted less, you could tell them easy ice. Between the hours of 7-8am, like any Starbucks location the drive through is FULL. You're best bet is to park it and walk in, it's much quicker to get your order and get out. All the gals at this locale are super sweet and bubbly, and they get credit for the hours that their up serving all of us in need of our caffiene fixes lol. This Starbuck's shares the same Wal-Mart power center shopping area as Dunkin Donuts. This is the coffee shop equivalent as McDonald's and Burger King in the fast food market. This location provides me with the perfect opportunity to compare Starbuck's with their competitor Dunkin Donuts a few hundred feet north. This review is broken into categories. Food Starbuck's: Starbuck's weak point is their food. At least in my opinion. Their bagels are below the standards of a supermarket bagel. Their pastries are filling, yet unrememberable. With the new hot sandwiches at some Starbuck's stores their food is taking a turn for the better. Dunkin Donuts: I love Dunkin Donuts toasted bagels with cream cheese. When my sweet tooth is active, I love their famous donuts even more. Service Starbuck's: At this location, the service is welcoming. Here I was greeted with a smile. At the time of my visit I was in a down mood because my Yelping companion the Samsung Fascinate was on its way to the circuitry in the sky. The friendly barista definitely lifted up my spirits (too bad the Fascinate was near death). Dunkin Donuts: When I visited-a few minutes before Starbuck's, there was one man running the whole store. Imagine if it was busy. It was also weird that here, the employees (not baristas) go to the back to pour coffee. On a plus side, the one man working in the store put in the Equal and if I wanted it, milk for me. Coffee Starbuck's: Starbuck's clearly has first-rate coffee. I wouldn't be writing so many reviews on them if they were average. Regardless of how much I cherish their coffee beverages, I feel that they need to coffee far more flavoring syrups just like the Seattle's Best chain that they brought out. Dunkin Donuts: I grew up in the New York Metropolitan Area. Long before the Starbuck's invasion, Dunkin Donuts was the coffee of choice. And to many people it still is. In my mind Dunkin Donuts and Starbuck's coffee are tied during the Holidays when Starbuck's features Pumpkin Spice, Egg Nog, and Gingerbread themed beverages.Throughout the rest of the year, I rate Dunkin Donuts coffee slightly better than Starbuck's coffee. The wild card is their light blueberry syrup. Coffee Shop experience Starbuck's: As far as a place to hang out, Starbuck's blows Dunkin Donuts away. In a few Starbuck's reviews, I wrote with enthusiasm that it is a third place. With the advent of data caps on smart phones, Starbuck's complimentary WiFi is a great deal. In similar fashion to many Starbuck's this location is cozy. Dunkin Donuts: Dunkin Donuts feels more like a fast food place than a place to open up your lap top and hang out. There is zero WiFi promotions. Cozy couches and comfortable seating is nonexistent. In my humble opinion, Dunkin Donuts would expand faster if they remodeled their shops into comfortable third places. read more

Drinks are great, but I really wish they would work on moving their drive thru line a bit quicker. Some days it flies through, and I've measured 5 cars in front of me. Then on some days it takes twice as long. Understand people order more complex drinks or more beverages but is anyone checking how long people are waiting? Literally just sent this to Sbux CS: Regarding Starbucks store #6893 - I've had a bad experience every time I have ever gone to this location. Today was the tipping point. When I walked through the door I thought someone said hello and welcome to Starbucks. Turns out she was talking to someone in the drive-thru. There were at least three people behind the counter yet no one said a word to me for at least 30 seconds while I stood at the counter until a lady who was standing right on the other side of the counter told another person that he had a customer. The man then walked two steps to the register and took my order. I told him I had two rewards on my gold card and that I wanted to use one of them to pay. He said okay, took my card, swiped it and gave it back to me with my receipt. I looked at it and saw that I was in fact, charged for my drink. For some reason, I have never been able to use my drink rewards at this location and they never tell me this. They always charge me and I find out about it after the fact. Turned off by my experience, I decided to let it go and follow up online. I waited for my drink. Another person started making it then put my cup to the side and started making another drink for a lady who arrived after me. She got her drink first then the person continued making mine. When my drink was finished, the woman called out my order, put it on the counter and threw (yes, THREW) a straw in my direction. It landed on the counter. I had a straw in my hand already so I tossed it back over. I have no idea what the story is with this location. I have never seen more than 3 or 4 customers inside or in the drive thru yet the people who work here have such awful attitudes. The lovely woman behind the counter suggested passion iced tea and asked if I'd like some lemonade in it. Sandy was sweet and patient and the tea is very good. Make a point to greet us as we walk through the door, and to thank us as we leave. This is the best Starbucks in north Scottsdale. Peak hours are 745am and noon, expect a longer line. These guys are always extremely prompt with orders and I never once have had a drink made incorrectly. Definitely the one you want to go to in the area. read more
