My Starbucks to go to is at the NEX and Target on Lawehana Street Salt Lake Area. I ordered their new item I saw on their poster I think it was called Ube Matcha (?) hot drink instead of ice as shown. The mini munchies to my delight were very tasty and great! And sandwiches are great snack to much on! I was hoping sandwiches were sold and to my surprise all the sandwiches were posted on top of the display counter! I didn't take photo of my sandwich - it was a great light snack to have! I hope they continue to have the sandwiches on their menu! The staff there are friendly with a smile even if they're busy!! Super slow!!! 3 workers and it doesn't seem like they know what they're doing or how to prioritize. Waiting 20 mins for a grande matcha and then finally asking them for it (when at least 5 drinks ordered after mine left - yeah only 5 in 20 mins - two of which were waters) only to be told "it's coming m'am" as she points to the empty cup on the counter. Finally the barista tells the other girl to make it. Ridiculous. How can some Starbucks be so quick but seems like the base and airport starbucks have the either least trained or least caring workers? My mom was waiting for her drink that I got her and was talking to someone else waiting who told her they're always this slow at that Starbucks. So I guess if you have all the time in the world to wait then go for it. I'm not a coffee drinker but I do enjoy fruit drinks and smoothies and I rarely get anything for myself from there. It's my husband that has the coffee and Starbucks bug. I digress... For once Starbucks didn't have a mondo line and I needed... okay badly wanted, a juice drink. I went with the Paradise Drink Starbucks Refresher. It's pineapple, with chunks of pineapple and coconut milk. (Did I mentioning love Pinole and coconut milk?!) Placed my order and I was good to go. Until they called my name and said they were out of the pineapple chunks. Bummmerrrrr. I'll take it anyway. Guys... it was not good, I couldn't even finish it. It was the most artificial, bitter pineapple taste I've ever had. Total waste! I bought a big bottled water from the exchange and it saved the day. Coffee is life! When I feel a bit more run down than usual I can never go wrong with adding a sprinkle of sugar to my day. I use to be a hot coffee drinker but enjoy more of the iced coffees nowadays. I love this location especially while on base and enjoy the frappes. The service is quick at the times that I'm there and usually don't have to worry about much of a line. The ambiance is nice and I especially liked the decor with the message board! Schofield Starbucks had a renovation!! whoo hoo! The seating area is opened up and now have charging stations. The coffee is comparable to any other Starbucks. I love the new changes. Customer service has changed over the years, for the better. For the most part you can get your go to Starbucks drinks here, just like amy other location. Since it is Aafes, you can NOT redeem your points for free stuff. The good thing is you can still ear by buying here! When to avoid: paydays are crazy. The lines get soooooo long. So either come early or get your coffee later on the 1st and 15th. Overall, it has become my regular spot to get my liquid of choice. read more

What I like about this location is the easy going feel of it. Doesn't have the hussle and bussle of many other locations, always easy to get a table, rarely has loud talking people, it's just pretty quiet. So, when I came this time around and I saw the sign for 50% off all strawberry drinks I couldn't turn it away. It's been awhile since I had a strawberry smoothie blended with real strawberries giving it more of a strawberry taste than the other strawberry drinks they have. I settled for a grande since I just got done eating a big lunch. I placed my order, paid for it, and got the drink in less than 5min. It tasted fantastic. Service was friendly, courteous and done with a warm smile. For the few minutes I waited, I did notice everything was clean. Nothing left on the tables, or on the floor to be picked up. Creme station was well stocked. Staff were nicely dressed, not sloppy, very professionally appropriate. Now, on to shopping!!! read more

I will not be coming back to this location. It always has super long lines due to the staff not knowing how todo their jobs. Yesterday I was overcharged on a drink that usually cost me $6-7 I paid $11 for a Cold Brew. I asked the man why it was $11 and he said they charge extra for the pumps which I usually pay for no problem. When ordering through the app it still only would have cost $6.81. Consistently the worst Starbucks ever. Like, every single time it's terrible and something goes wrong. They constantly run out of things (usually coconut milk). There are always flies in the food case (I know it's not the food being served but still gross and unappetizing). With the sheer volume they serve here, located in the Schofield Exchange, you'd think they would hire people who 1. Listen, 2. Can "multitask," 3. Have manners. So many times I've been interrupted or walked away from while I'm ordering without notice as to why, it's frustrating. Quit warming my cookies when I say I don't want it warmed. If you're asking the question, listen for the answer. I hate coming here but the next nearest is too far when on a lunch break. This isn't the best Starbucks. A lot of the staff are under trained and have a hard time moving the line and making the drinks to the Starbucks standard. A few dislikes, they don't offer the traditional free wifi, which is an extreme putty because this is your military members that you want to charge to use it. Tsk tsk. The wait here is usually a little longer than other Starbucks, in my opinion. The volume isn't very high, but still... I don't know. You can use your Rewards card here to pay, and they have some weird paper-trail way of logging that you used your free drink/food reward. The drinks here are always hit or miss for me. Being a former Starbucks barista myself, I know how my drink is supposed to taste. Sometimes its spot on; sometimes it seems like they didn't get a full shot of espresso in there; sometimes they burn the milk; sometimes they don't put the full 4 pumps of vanilla in my drink. I've been here a few times, and once during on my lunch break to get some work done. Boy, it does get busy during lunch! But I noticed that it slowed down once lunch hour is over. I like that there is an ample amount of seating. There are not a lot of outlets since it is inside the Schofield Barracks Main Store Mall. If you're lucky, there's about one or two in the back corner. I agree with one other Yelper; like the other Starbucks locations, the staff are friendly here, but the lines appear to be very long and slow. Perhaps they can use more staff. This place is a hot mess. Every time I've ever been here, the display case is ALWAYS full of flies. I pointed it out once and they were like, "eh, it's okay. We don't serve those" Really? Bottom Line: the location and layout of this Starbucks is convenient and very accessible, unfortunately their service overshadows everything which dampens the experience. A pity. Expanded: located at the entrance of the post exchange, this Starbucks is situated in the perfect location to swoop up coffee aficionados on their way into and out of the building. Unfortunately, their terribly-slow service drags the experience and most people opt to either just leave or go down the hall to get a cold-fruit smoothie from Black Sheep. The whole ordeal is perplexing because the venue has more than enough staff to execute the orders (in my opinion), but you'll most see people running around or literally standing and staring back at the customer. The coffee, espresso, and cold drinks themselves are on par with what you'll find out in other Starbucks throughout the island but unlike their peer-stores, this one often runs out of cup-sleeves, venti-size cups and coffee lids. I assume the only reason this place hasn't imploded is because of people's love for the namesake of Starbucks or lack of choice when it comes to getting a "cup-of-joe." Any other establishment who have consistent issues with their logistics or management would have surely shuttered its doors a long time ago. read more

I've been stationed here for almost four years and this place has never improved. You could be in line with 20 people or no people and it'll still take 30 minutes to get a coffee. I've had to, on multiple occasions, had to ask them to refund me after waiting for 30+ minutes because I was going to be late to work if I waited any longer to get a latte. Unless you've got time to wait or you're extremely desperate I don't recommend this starbucks. Go to the coffee cart out by the commissary. Better coffee and quick service! read more

Keep in mind that the seating area is closed for now due to the ongoing pandemic so it's only to go drinks/food that they are serving. It can get pretty busy, but they work very hard. Honestly the worst Starbucks you can stop at which is disappointing if you live on base because you'd think it'd be so convenient but they're always out of something or the espresso machine is broken. And it's always the most simple thing they're out of like strawberry purée, heavy cream, even syrups, just reflects bad management not putting in orders correctly. So sad. read more

There seems to be a bit of a staffing issue here. Some mornings when you stop in for your morning cup of "please don't let me fall asleep on the job add three extra shots please" despite the line wrapping around what seems like half the building (and trust me its been long, the line moves quickly and efficiently, but other times they are definitely short staffed and ill equipped to handle the morning rush and 15-20 minutes later only 5 people have gotten their drinks and you're surely going to be late for work. They also consistently don't seem to have a well stocked pastry case or enough syrups (they run out of the pumpkin spice on a regular basis when other stores consistently have it on stock indicating that perhaps they're not ordering enough, etc.). The baristas are always friendly and even when its super busy they are always nice and don't make you feel rushed at the register. I have had my drink order messed up a few times, but they have always been great about fixing it. read more

I really like this Starbucks... right when you walk into the entry way PRIOR to the entrance to the Schofield Exchange there are a bunch of kiosks and other vendors selling items... but off to the left (when you walk in) is Starbucks. It's not enclosed and I agree with Keri K... I like it for people watching (if I sit down to enjoy my drink) I usually come here with my parents (mostly my Mom) when she has to get her allergy shots at the clinic. She has to wait 20 minutes after the shot so they can assess her arm so we walk over to grab a coffee together... Mommy and daughter time! :) Or if Daddy is with us it's Mommy n Daddy daughter time! :) The staff is always friendly and they make the drinks pretty good (but then again it's hit or miss with the barista). I try to be VERY specific with how I want my drink made and they're pretty good! Chairs are comfy and the place is clean! read more

It's common sense that this place is busy in the morning as everyone is headed to work, but along with the time it takes to find parking when it's busy you're probably better off going to another Starbucks if there's one in proximity to you. Because of the volume of customers, your wait time in line to order may be long as well as your wait time for your drink. read more

No matter what time of day or how many employees they have, they're ALWAYS slow. But the entire time the staff is talking story with each other, laughing, & having a grand old time.
