Every time I go there the coffee tastes burned and honestly pretty nasty. And so far, I only ever got burned tasting coffees by Starbucks. Are y'all not frequently checking the Machines? This review is solely for Hanna, my barista. I stopped into this Starbucks as it's the only one in Wilmington Island. A typical Starbucks and nothing special. However, for some reason they only staffed one Barista and, even though she was moving as fast as humanly possible, there was always a long line. In spite of the pressure, she maintained a friendly and enthusiastic attitude. She was a model employee. Thank you Hanna! Note to management...please get her some help in the mornings. read more

I'm surprised by the negative reviews here. I live in New Jersey and just returned from visiting Tybee Island and Savannah. I feel compelled to comment on the impeccable service and the flawless preparation of our drinks each day. During our week in Tybee, we found ourselves making an hour-long round trip just to visit the Starbucks at Kroger. The lattes there were the best I have ever had at any Starbucks, and I probably have 10 Starbucks within a 10-mile radius in NJ. Each visit to the Kroger Starbucks was consistently excellent, and if you're fortunate enough to have Abigail as your barista, you'll receive your drinks promptly, perfectly made, and with outstanding service and a smile--something rare in NJ. So, stop complaining about waiting times and crumbs. You Georgians don't realize how good you have it. read more

I go to Starbucks every day for a black iced tea. The Starbucks in my Kroger on Wilmington Island always makes the tea wrong. You are supposed to fill the container up to the tea line with the tea out of the pitcher, then add water to the next line, then add ice and shake it. Final step is to pour it into the plastic cup. The employees at this Starbucks were either never trained or they are lazy. They just pour the concentrated tea into a plastic cup and add a little ice. It is way too strong to drink. I am too polite to keep correcting them and as their employees seem to turn over frequently it does no good anyway. read more

I thought my coffee was good but really wished they offered straws. Can't even find straws in Kroger either unless you buy the pack. I'm from Jacksonville so not sure if it's a local law t. Every single person here is rude, the manager is capital B of this location! She rude af also soon as I walked up they started cleaning the espresso machine. So I'm out working in the area and myself and my coworker stop by the location for a cheeky drink. This location is absolute rubbish. Name a Starbucks location that just magically stops making drinks at a certain time and the laughs when you say you don't want anything. I would rather drive 40 minutes than go to this location. This was the longest I've ever waited at a Starbucks. They weren't even making cafe or mobile orders, only drive through. I waited 25 minutes just for an iced matcha latte. There was barely any room to breathe because so many people were waiting for mobile and cafe orders. When I asked if mine was coming up anytime soon, it was magically the next drink they worked on. The woman who ordered before me was still waiting when I finally left. Will not return to this location. read more

They had the worst service for a Starbucks I've ever seen. They were out of almost every product including coffee!! Took them 20 minutes to take my order and another 20 to make my drink which ended up being incorrect and tasted terrible. I had to ask for a refund bc it took so long. The workers were moving at a snails pace and seemed to not even know how to make drinks. At one point both workers left the counter for 5 mins so they weren't even taking orders or drinks. I used to use this location all of the time and it used to be one of my favorite locations. I happened to be in the area and decided to pop in for a coffee this morning. I'm not sure what has happened to this location, but the experience was less than stellar in comparison to what it used to be and what I expect out of a Starbucks experience. The girl that took my order did not greet me and seemed very put off by presence. The barista who made my drinks ignored me and made my drinks, put them on the counter and carried on her conversation with the cashier. I thanked her for the drinks and she didn't even respond to me. I'm very disappointed in this experience in a location that used to be excellent. I am a manager in the service industry myself. I try to teach my team that the customers experience is the single most important part of your job in this industry. It's a shame that in observing my and other interactions this morning, that these employees will drive patrons from your business. I will stick to the Broughton Street location. Staff is rude and not friendly, my drink is never made correctly ( I just ask for almond milk!) , and today I ordered a grande Carmel macchiato and it was only 2/3 full and luke warm. I have learned from a prior experience to not even mention when something is wrong because I get an attitude. read more

If I could give zero stars I would.. Line was not too long for ordering but there was about 5 people ahead of me waiting on their drinks. The two employees were moving at a snails pace. I waited on my order (venti iced coffee) for about 15 minutes. People that ordered after me started getting their orders. I went up to the counter and asked about my order. The barista working looked at me like a deer in head lights. He told me it would be about 5 minutes for him to make the iced coffee. I'm usually in and out rather quickly. If I can't do it fast then I KNOW it's going to be a good wait. I usually buy a Venti drink and a pastry, only problem is they are always out of most of the items in the display case. I have a lactose intolerance and I have actually brought my own milk to use for a hot cocoa and half of the time I'm told that I have to use the milk that they have. I really don't understand what the problem is? I'm giving you the milk for my drink and I'm still paying the regular price. Most of the girls that work there are not trained very well, they spend a lot of time talking to each other and not listening to the customers. I believe that if there was another Starbucks on the Islands that it would be hard for the Kroger location to stay open. read more

Absolutely horrible service!!!! Waited for 20 minutes for 2 coffees (that I never ended up receiving). I've never experienced such poor service at a Starbucks. After waiting and realizing it would be close to another 20 minutes for my coffees, I asked for a refund and was sent to the customer service desk (which was equally disappointing).
