It's that time of year again..Pumpkin Spice Latte season at Starbucks! I can't help but get excited about it. I ordered through the app, and it was ready as soon as I arrived. The drink itself is really smooth, with the pumpkin spice not overpowering and it has just the right amount of sweetness, so I don't need to adjust anything. Bad service. Lack of acknowledgement for the long wait times. Ordered inside. They had 5 team members and it took 35 minutes for my cold brew. I ordered a hot drink as well and they refused me a cup sleeve even though they had them? There was also poop on the floor of the bathroom. read more

I'm a regular at this Starbucks and come in almost every day, so I've had a chance to really notice the difference in how the store is staffed depending on the time of day. In the mornings, there are usually several people working--even when it's not super busy. But in the evenings, I often see only two people handling a packed store, trying their best to keep up with mobile orders, in-store customers, and everything else. It honestly breaks my heart because I've had conversations with some of the baristas, and they've opened up to me about how exhausting and overwhelming the night shifts can be. One even shared how they feel the company seems more focused on appearances than supporting their employees with adequate help during the busiest times. What's even more upsetting is seeing negative reviews directed at these employees without any awareness of the circumstances they're under. From what I've seen, the staff here are doing their absolute best with what they're given. It's not fair to criticize them when they're clearly being stretched thin. If you've ever worked in customer service, you know how hard it can be. This was a pretty standard Starbucks experience for me. I was driving and needed a quick caffeine pick me up. You'd be surprised at how difficult it is to find a Starbuck in NC! Compared to Virginia, it was ridiculous. Anyway, I found this one off the highway a bit and stopped in to use the restroom and pick up a drink. It was clean, not crowded, and the staff had my order quickly after I ordered on the app. They were also decked out really cute with Christmas decorations. Overall A-OK. read more

While tons of orders where rolling in I was supper thankful for Savannah on staff to be able to answer questions about refunds and were parts of my mobile order where in the kitchen! I am here for training for work, from Whiteville, NC. & Tuesday and Wednesday i came and ordered the same drink i always get, but it was made wrong but i didn't say anything. Tailyn, was very helpful, and very nice to speak to. I normally do but it was still an okay drink. But today, before i head back home i came in and got a coffee for the road, and Sofia was VERY helpful, and sweet. Very understanding, and will go above and beyond! Terrible service. We had to wait while the staff flirted before our order was taken and then had to remind them that brewed coffee was poured at the register. The bathrooms and the store itself were not clean. This is probably not the fault of the staff on duty, as I'm not sure anyone in management was present, but they were out of at least one holiday flavoring. read more

Thank God for this Starbucks! I was in the area for a few days for a wedding. Our schedule was so chaotic, but this Starbucks was my salvation! I ordered from them every day, sometimes twice a day, to keep myself moving through a very busy few days. I ordered ahead for myself and others, from basic to complex drinks and breakfast sandwiches. My wife and I are both gold level Starbucks members so we have no problem with Starbucks. Its just this location in particular. Ever since it has opened they have gotten several of our drinks wrong. We kept going back thinking maybe the new baristas needed to get the hang of it since it was a fairly new store but after several visits and ordering the same drink, it's been prepared differently every single time. Today they got it wrong 3 different times. My wife ordered a triple mocha frappuccino and it tasted horrible like blended ice with chocolate, with regular whipped cream on top, NOT with cream on the bottom and top, or cream that is infused with cold brew, white chocolate mocha and dark caramel like described by Starbucks. I orderd a salted caramel cold foam nitro brew which I sent back. The barista handed me a coffee with ice and insisted that it was what I had ordered until another barista stepped in and said "oh its not" and they made it again, and the new one was still WRONG! It tasted like watered down cold coffee with no nitro. I just didn't bother to go back to the store since it was made wrong 3 times. I'm very disappointed with my Starbucks experience and this location, at this point I would rather go to the Target Starbucks location (which has less Yelp stars) than the standalone corporate store. We will definitely not be visiting this location soon. read more

This is a fairly new Starbucks to the area. The only standalone in Rocky Mount other than the Target location. First impression in the drive thru last November, the day before a Thanksgiving went pretty smoothly.. no complaints and the food and drinks were exactly what we ordered. Next visit was right before they shut down during Covid 19. The tables and chairs were re arranged.. No lines inside. The inside was very clean.. I admired the artwork on the walls. My only complaint was the young lady yelling the names of people who had orders very loudly.. almost ear piercing. I chuckled at myself, but still thought it was unnecessary. Other than that... it's a great location.. close to Sam's Club and off of hwy 301. Lots of construction going on in the area and business popping up. read more

A beautifully decorated and well laid out Starbucks with some of the nicest staff of any I've been to. Good atmosphere for meeting friends or for the usual laptop coffee shop stint. All the latest drinks and good sandwiches and snacks. They also have a drive-through. They're next to Bojangles on a main road. For us on a road trip it was easy and comfortable to stop I only wish they had recycling for the plastic bottles and maybe cost a little less. But you know what to expect! read more

This is by far the most frustrating Starbucks I've ever been to. The staff is nice. But they don't know what they're doing. I've been to this specific location 50 plus times and every time my simple iced coffee order is wrong. I'm a frequent Starbucks goer in general and this and the target one are the only locations in our area. I've decided not to come back to this location because even when I ask them to fix my order, it's still so milky and so watered down. Every. Single. Time. I'm gonna give this place a STRONG three stars. I can't give any more than that for one simple reason - the WiFi is trash. I'm talking TRASH! The upload speed hangs out around 0.75mbps. The download speed hangs out at between 0.5 and 1.25mbps. You read that right. You can do what you NEED to do, and it may not even be noticeable to people who don't rely heavily on speed. However, if you're trying to run your business or do data-intensive things, you may run into some issues when it's time to multitask. My drinks are always great, the service is always fast and friendly, but the internet is not the best at all and it's very slow compared to most of the Starbucks locations I've been to. I was in the establishment this past week. I was behind a really rude and impatient lady that had ordered about 20 drinks. The barista was doing all she could to keep up but the lady was clearly frustrated because her drinks were not completed in the blink of a eye. She kept saying she had to get back to work. I commend this barista for how she handled this lady. It bothers me when people feel they can treat someone any kind of way just because they are the customer. I always place my mobile order online before I leave home so that when I get to the store I don't have to wait in line and can just pick it up. Over the past few weeks when I go inside to pick it up no one speaks to me or asks if they can assist me. I stand there for a few minutes and then have to get someone's attention to give it to me since mobile orders are no longer left on counter for customer pick up. This defeats the purpose of mobile orders. It now appears easier to stand in line to order or go through the drive thru. Why is that? Shouldn't be this complex. Consistently out of something whether it's green tea, lemonade, egg white wraps, bacon gouda sandwich, etc. since the store opened. I went this morning to get a green tea latte and waited in the drive through line for 10 minutes behind multiple cars only to get to the front of the line and realize they were closed. There was no sign anywhere in the drive through indicating they would not be open regular hours today. Have tried to give them multiple chances as I go here often and enjoy Starbucks for breakfast, but I am very frustrated with this store. read more

Nice store clean every time I go in, the staff is friendly and helpful most of the time. I have had some help that was just bland neither positive to negative but very blah. Drinks seem to be a hit or miss on and need to be more consistent. Some times too much milk in the lattes or the espresso seems a weak. Considering this is the only free standing store in Rocky Mount the management doesn't have a lot of pressure of being crossed compared from the store across town. On the positive side they do get it right also and again there are some very positive and friendly folks that work there also. read more

One of the employees here is great... always friendly, smiling, and pleasant. The prices are a bit high but she makes it worth it. She sees me and she already knows what I am ordering!! This morning was a disaster and I'm confused bc this location is suppose to open at 5:30 in which I had arrived...I have to be to work at 5:45 so I was furious when NOBODY WAS THERE TO TAKE MY ORDER...I waited for about 5-10 min for someone to show up AGAIN NOBODY...I go to my office wait another 10 min and called to see if they were open only for a girl to tell me "yes ma'am we open at 5:30 but we had a late start and we will be open in like 10 min...so you mean to tell me A BUSINESS WITH CLEARLY STATED BUSINESS HOURS is opening almost AN HOUR LATE....ridiculous ; furthermore, you mean to tell me the whole dang staff was late I hate when ppl do not take time seriously when dealing with business...my time is precious...writing negative review especially since I was not accommodated in any way and was late for work sometime things are just too ridiculous for me to let slide by...so better read more
