Placed a mobile order for 2 cold brews...not rocket science. Showed up before it's scheduled 2:56 ready time. After 17 minutes had passed the exhausted barista is still struggling while the four other staffers are largely just talking to one another (one woman is slowly emptying trash). The cashier who noted she hadn't been in for a month (one hears a lot while waiting for 20 minutes for a simple order) is just listless as there is no line but won't help the backlog. At one point she tells the drowning barista, who is already running more than 10 minutes late 'you are doing great' right before going back to the register and leaning on the counter. I approach her as my order is still not ready to request a refund and rather than just pull the cold brew lever to make the second drink she announces 'we'll, one is ready, do you want it?' She takes labors to demand the app and scan although she can fully see the order on her screen and needs a paper receipt signed to refund the drink they they can't bring themselves to possibly make. She is sure to wish me 'the loveliest of days' as I leave. Somehow it is the customer's fault for ordering there. The staff couldn't give less of a care, which is unfortunate. They could do so much more business if they even half tried, or if the staff supported one another. read more

It's 7:54, I walk in to an open Starbucks. There's only one problem....they shut down who knows when and no drinks are available. Or so they tell me. Cold demeanor, two middle aged men "working". I tell them the door was open and it's not 8 PM yet. I'd like a drink. Suddenly they can make a drink but i have to provide a few options because they are "limited". I ask for a hot grande....i walk out with a COLD TALL. The abrasive one gent is waiting at the door to lock it. Never says thankyou, nothing. Just rushing me out. I call corporate to get a refund and complain. They tell me I can't do that. THIS PLACE SUCKS. They don't deserve your business....besides, they charge too much anyway. GOOD BYE RIDGEFIELD STARBUCKS. Had the most embarrassing experience as an adult. I placed a mobile order to be taken outside on 2.24.21. I sat patiently in my car and waited happily. The store maybe had 4 customers waiting for coffee and or placing an order. After 7-8 minutes of waiting seeing as they weren't busy I walked inside. I politely Introduced myself and explained I parked in spot "3" and tried a drink that popped up on the mobile app so I didn't remember the name of my drink. The woman working got very snippy with me. She said ,"if you placed the mobile order to be brought out why are you inside? We are making it now." I was dumbfounded. I replied ," my daughter has ballet and I need to leave soon, so if i can't have it now I need to cancel it." She then replied," I said we are making it!" Now as she's talking to me her tone and voice are going up. She then proceeded to tell me in a Yelling voice to go wait on a circle dot. I told her to not get "snippy" with me. That's not how you talk to a CUSTOMER. I told her if she needs to me wait she could of said so nicely and in another tone. I'm a married adult and I present myself well. I didn't come in barking orders and I did not deserve for someone the age of my grandmother to speak to me in such a manor. Overall I'm disgusted. To pay any money to be treated this way is absurd. I went to this Starbucks this morning and I waited over 15 mins for an order I placed in the "cafe". One of my sandwiches was also lost. I understand this is one of the only chain restaurants in town but customers deserve better service. The staff at this location are really unfriendly and not happy! They mess up the orders all the time. They wouldn't help me pay from my phone because I had a question. Another customer helped me! Then all of a sudden they announced we all had to leave due to some health hazard condition ( toilet?) and made us all leave. On the way out I suggested they give us all a coupon for free drink since we just got there and were meeting up with friends. The kid couldn't care less and acted like I just grew 2 heads. So my friends and I a actually sat in a car to talk and drink our coffees. Walking back to my car I see they set up coffee and the same "uncreative" kid was manning the carafe. Again I suggested they should have given us free coffee and he said here is your free coffee. At that time a man chimes in to defend the kid. Now mind you this man was NOt kicked out of Starbucks. He just arrived and got free coffee whereas my little cup cost close to $3. I was too annoyed to refill my cup and besides if they are having water issues do I really want coffee there? Always crowded which is I suppose what earns the star. However, many customers - possibly with children- possibly speaking loudly on their phones- possibly getting to the barista and asking a dozen questions, have no regard for the merch or customers in the lengthy, slow moving line. It's coffee folks. Why does it take 15 minutes to order and 15 minutes to get a simple coffee and...? The employees have minimal charm- though can understand if they continue to work here. The customers are rude often. The dining area is consistently dirty i.e. tables and fixing station and the floors are trashed. And the bathrooms... seen cleaner on 95 rest stops. So basically it's a filthy place that's been abused. Been here a dozen plus times and will begin to seek out other Starbucks. A real disappointment in Ridgefield. Update! 12/2019 Returned the other day and learned why America Runs On Dunkin'! Didn't even want coffee- just some gift cards and that was a challenge. Interrupted attention/service bx the cashier was also getting people's orders. NO gift card envelopes- "we ran out"- ahhh ok it's Christmas and you have dozens of available cards but no envelopes. Okay, it's getting kind of wild...I go to the Wilton Starbucks during the weekday, and the Ridgefield Starbucks on the weekend. The difference is insane. Wilton my drink is always ready in like 5 minutes. I'm not joking when I say every single time I've gone to the Ridgefield location I submit a mobile order 10 minutes or more before I arrive and I still have to wait a minimum of 10 more minutes in store once I arrive. The last time I waited 25 minutes. That's a total of 35 mins wait time for ONE DRINK. And it's always like that! Packed inside with people waiting, they have a staff member allotted to literally ask people what their name is, check the mobile order screen and say "it's coming." OK, 5 stars for the folks currently trying their best to make this particular store work. All I can say is... Seattle: please send the cavalry! This store needs help. Twice they've cut their hours and even went to mobile-only afternoons (i.e., the store interior is closed), and I still show up to get my order and now everyone is outside, milling around the entrance waiting. Today it was a solid half-hour from mobile-order to having my coffee in hand. I am not complaining like a lot of folks are - I see the workers inside scrambling. Still, I'm curious to know if other Starbucks stores are experiencing what this particular one is. The few other ones I've been to recently don't seem to be. Be advised that the hours you see displayed here on Yelp are not accurate. As I type this, the current Ridgefield hours are: Monday - Wednesday: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Thursday - Sunday: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (mobile orders ONLY after 3PM - store interior is closed). I wish I could give zero stars. Firstly, the staff is usually always rude and non-personable. Secondly, if you don't ask for no ice prepare to pay $6 for a cup of ice with a splash of coffee. Really not impressed with this Starbucks. First of all it's very dark inside and doesn't have the usually welcoming feel of a Starbucks. It also wasn't very clean inside and there was water all of the floor. The service wasn't great either, the service took very long and they seemed to be working in extra slow-mode. Better than your average Starbucks. The seating area is very roomy and after their recent remodel, there are lots of comfy chairs. The coffee and other drinks are as good at other Starbucks and the service is good. Can get very crowded at times and the outside tables tend to be a teenager's smoking hangout at night, but overall one of the better Starbucks. Would have given it four stars, but as with most Starbucks, the bathrooms could be cleaner. This is probably because of their heavy use, but I wish they were cleaner. read more

Although it can be a bit crowded sometimes, the staff does a great job of moving orders along and are generally pretty friendly. One particular employee, Anastasia, is definitely the glue that holds the place together... She seems to know the names of all the regulars and their drink of choice, especially those who order almond milk one too many times. Working at Starbucks is definitely a thankless job, so make sure to say thank you, even to the ones who snort when they laugh and take awkward selfies. read more

I come here 3-4 times a week and this is by far the WORST Starbucks in the area. I have tried the two in Danbury, Mount Kisco, New Canaan, Chappaqua, and Pleasantville and Ridgefield never fails to disappoint me. I don't have complicated orders and my drink is wrong 75% of the time...I don't get it! I'm not quite sure if either the staff here has no idea what ingredients go into each drink, or if they are just ignorant idiots. Not only do they not make the drinks correctly, minimum wait time for any drink is 10 minutes after you've waited on the 10 minute line. The mobile app doesn't make this any quicker. Advice for any potential customers, budget to spend at least 20 minutes here and make sure to taste your drink before you leave because odds are that it is wrong read more

Wrong orders, can't work the register, dropped food on the floor, got the wrong names on the drinks. This all in a few minutes. From reading the reviews it's apparent that Starbucks corporate doesn't even care about its black sheep of the family: it's Ridgefield location. Just left this dump and my blood is boiling, but my coffee is not even luke warm. It takes 30 minutes to get your coffee even if you are the first person in line! The staff could care less and in fact it appears that they make it a point to try and be as INefficient as possible. I used to feel that Yelp reviews for huge corporate chains were silly and unnecessary...but unfortunately the Ridgefield Starbucks is so poorly run that's it doing the fine people of this town a disservice and they must be informed! I am in love with this Starbucks! Every time that I go there to order and eat the employees are exceptionally sweet AND fast workers! My drink and food always seems to be the best at this location, and if I have an option to go here I will certainly take it! I love the sitting room area with multiple comfortable chairs to relax in. Probably the worst Starbucks I've ever set foot in. The afternoon lines are beyond atrocious. I don't know why this is so for such a small town. My guess is that they are understaffed or the manager refuses to hire enough people. Other than that, all else seems fine. Very loud acoustic though. I avoid it like the plague. It's shameful that the people of Ridgefield give so much business to this corporation when there are several charming family owned coffee shops in town. These peeps (mothers mainly, and their high school daughters) would rather stand on line for 30 minutes than support local businesses. It's rather insane if you ask me. Somewhat rude, overwhlemed, although I don't know why , staff. This location does not support Starbucks 'green" attitude: no longer puts out "grounds for the garden". I was told to call if I wanted to pick grounds up, which I did.
