I really hate to give reviews this bad, but the experience was so terrible that we walked out of the store without even grabbing a drink or worrying about a refund. The guy making the drinks coughed right on the cups that we and other customers were going to be drinking from while he was blending the drinks. Then he knocked over another customer's cup that fell on the floor and put it back on the counter like it was nothing later to be filled. So here we were, stuck in Primm, NV due to a road closure on the I-15S. We got in line at this Starbucks for some hot peppermint mocha to warm us up from the bitter cold. Dawn, the barista / cashier, has this really bad attitude and talks to people like they are stupid. Her almost scowling face seems to be unhappy with the deluge of people that suddenly swarmed into their store, despite the HUGE business potential this brings! She said to the customer in front of me, "don't forget, it will ask for a tip, before you sign...". After I got my drink, I requested for some water and was told, "we charge $1 for water". This Starbucks is located in a gas station and right outside of Vegas so it tends to attract a lot of visitors. It does get crowded and the lines are long. The service is slow and unpleasant. If I could give zero stars, I would. The overall customer service is nonexistent and the quality of the drinks are below proficient. The prices are ridiculous for their drinks and ice water. I don't recommend this place. It took over 40 minutes to get my order. The manager got one of my drinks wrong and after having it replaced, the coffee was about half full with lots of whip cream. Sometimes I read Yelp reviews and ignore warnings and bad experiences. This time, I really didn't have much of a choice. This Starbucks location is the only one that we could find for many miles. I use the Starbucks app all the time for mobile ordering and to pay - that way I earn free drinks and stuff. Well, I walked in and saw a line with more than 20 people & thought, "I'll place a mobile order like a boss and skip the line." Unfortunately, my smartphone wasn't too bright. It couldn't locate this particular Starbucks. So...I waited in line for nearly half an hour. Once I got up towards the front, I heard other people talking about the prices. I looked up at the board and saw how much the prices were inflated. I don't think the Disneyland locations have even priced their beverage and food items as high as this place. I was so upset, I almost walked out...but I'd already wasted so much time standing in line. I pulled out my phone and was about to place my order when the cashier asked me about the numbers that my card started with. I read off the first few numbers, and then she informed me that unless I had the actual card in hand, they couldn't scan my app to pay. That did it. I left. What a waste of time. Traveling to California early morning I needed a great cup of joe to keep me awake on the long drive. Stopped at the whiskey Pete's truck stop and decided on a beverage and lite snack for the trip. My experiences with Starbucks is hit or miss depending on the Barista. I was greeted by two young Filipino ladies who were smiling and welcomed me to their store the second I entered the line. They both explained a few of the drinks I was interested in and pointed out all the snacks and lite food items they offered. Once I decided my items were completed swiftly and were delicious. Thank you for suggesting the extra shot for added caffeine. The store was clean and the sugar and creamer bar was fully stocked. Great job ladies. I will be sure to stop by when traveling back to the people's republic. read more

Best coffee! Great location... everyone was super welcoming and fast service. Not all Starbucks are always a joy to go to.

First of all never have I ever been in a SB where efficiency was lacking and staff were not even in a hurry to get your order going. There were 3 orders ahead of me not huge orders. There was clearly an issue when there was a disconnect between staff not knowing their roles nor even helping a team member who's order are piling up. There did not even seem to be a system of how orders are seen and processed quickly. One employee was just walking up and down the aisle not doing anything but trying act and look "busy" when clearly she could have helped the two baristas who were slow as molasses. I ordered my 2 Frappuccino's @1632, 3 orders ahead of me which were 3 measly drinks cold drinks 1 was a cold brew drink and I did not receive my drink till 1701!!! What is wrong with that picture? These folks could take a lesson from L.A. baristas who know the meaning of efficiency. At the counter the service was unfriendly, but maybe it's because of the work demand due to being understaffed. 3. The prices are high, but maybe it's just how it is when you're traveling interstate and there's nothing else for a while. 4. This is important: they refused my Starbucks mobile card. They said that they only take it in plastic form. Which meant I had to pay without, which is annoying since there were holiday awards to be earned, but more importantly, they did not honor my earned freebies. I ordered a Venti Mango Dragonfruit refresher WITH NO ICE and they gave it to me with ice. Note that the cup had the directions to put no ice. I told the barista and he looked at me in a rude way? The world we live today has made us spoiled. One can travel across the Mojave desert in a matter of hours while passing all manner of conveniences. There are of course certain sections with nothing and when you want a particular something...that something being an iced grande triple dirty chai (IGTDC), you gotta jump on it. Wanting an IGTDC, I stopped at this location located inside a truck stop. I get that people who work in Primm have one hell of a trip going to work, and going home from work. At one time in life, this was possibly going to be an option for me. But if your have to punch the time clock at the state line.....Do it well! Travelers such as myself, will greatly appreciate it. Any sort of friendly attitude was absent the day I visited. Fine. What really chapped me was that I could not use a typical Starbucks payment scanner to purchase my IGTDC. I get we are are out in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking, but how do you not have a Starbuck app scanner? I allow the "Big Brother" of big coffee to monitor my daily habits by having sold out and having the app on my phone. If your flying the Starbucks banner, there should be a scanner. All good. Up the road about an hour or down the road, however many hours, there are other locations. read more

The manager was training 2 new baristas who didn't even know what the codes on my cup meant. Then they started making the drinks of people who ordered after me.
