I had a very disappointing experience at the Starbucks on Olhava Way in Poulsbo and wanted to share an updated account. One morning, while rushing to get my three children to school and work, I placed a mobile order that included protein boxes for my kids' lunches. After waiting in the drive-thru, I was told everything was in the bag. Later, I realized one of the protein boxes was missing. Because that item had been meant for my preschooler's lunch, simply offering me the missing item later did not solve the problem. I returned to the store that evening and requested a refund for the item I paid for but never received. What should have been a simple customer service issue became unnecessarily difficult. I was initially told a receipt was required. Once I located the receipt, I still was not given the refund. The interaction escalated, police were called, and the situation became far more stressful than it ever should have been, especially with my children present. I understand employees deal with difficult situations, but this could have been resolved quickly by acknowledging the mistake and refunding the missing item. Instead, the matter was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. I am updating this because, at the heart of it, my concern was never complicated: I paid for an item I did not receive and expected reasonable customer service. Chain reviewing for me is always about the staff and place. This is a Starbucks ya'll. Flavor of coffee and all that is a matter of opinion. I came in on a Friday evening to get an hour of work done and ordered myself a mint tea in a mug. The baristas were VERY friendly. They keep the place clean orderly. 18 minutes to get two coffees. It appeared that they were "tripping" all over each other. Counted 8/9 people working and some weren't sure if order was mobile or drive though. No one greeted us or asked if we had our order. Only after we asked at the 15 minute wait mark did she say it would be 30 minutes. We were surprised and then someone had pity and made our order. Not sure what is up with starbucks lately. its 3:30 pm on a Sunday, and they are closed, hours say 7pm. Multiple locations are out of strawberry puree for the strawberry frap, saying its a company wide shortage, but the oak harbor store has plenty. i Starbucks ran a promotion on a breakfast sandwich (double smoke bacon), only for the app its unavailable for the season. Later i was told by baristas at that same store, they were never out. Why are they making it so hard for me to give them my money? lol read more

Today was my first time participating in triple star day and it did not disappoint!! I called ahead to make sure I qualified on the app (also new to me), and confirm the gift card rules etc. the staff member was very kind over the phone even though I'm sure it was a very busy day. She made sure to also mention 50% off merchandise which I didn't know from the app. Huge plus as I was thinking to get a holiday gift in the coming weeks.. When I came in my order was already ready and waiting for me at the counter (I had never done order ahead at this location either, only drive-up). The store was very clean and the staff members guided me without prompt to where to find the things I needed to eat and drink inside. They also asked if I was the one who called earlier deducting from the quick conversation I had. They remembered me! I clearly was new to this location and to the promotion haha. While shopping, I had some questions about the cups and lids and the employees figured out how to handle them professionally. I have to say the top shelf here is very high! There was a slight delay in scanning one of the cups at the register/receiving the 50% off but they went above and beyond to resolve it very quickly for me. My food and beverages were made to my customizations and all tasty. They only thing I would have requested was for my frap to get an extra wipe, my hands ended up a little chocolaty.. I opted to try a refresher with vanilla pumps today instead of the pink drink version w/ coconut milk. Personal preference but I think I'll skip the extra $0.80 for this add on in the future but it was nice to try. I earned so many extra stars today, and eagerly reminded my friends to stop in to take advantage. I've generally always had good service from this company, but today was a real treat. Thank you Olhava Way Starbucks, keep up the great customer service. Also, quick shout out to Poulsbo Police! While I was waiting to write this review in the parking lot (it's December dark and foggy outside) a patrol officer drove by the front of the building and sat for a few second to make sure the staff inside saw him! They all waved at each other through the storefront glass wall and he went on his way. What a cool safety check, and something you don't normally see. read more

Have been in town for the last three days for training and stopping here every morning on my way to class. I have found the team here extremely efficient, friendly, and happy! Everyone of them buzzing around working to provide great service. Coffee has always been fresh and hot and my breakfast choices are well done. Appreciate a well managed store like this. My family stopped by this Starbucks for some beverages to warm us up on a chilly fall afternoon. I decided to try the toasted white chocolate mocha. While waiting, I realized I forgot to ask for NO whipped cream so I went up to the barista to let her know. When I got my drink, I opened the lid and sure enough, a cloud of whipped cream with pink crystal sprinkles. I showed the barista and she asked "would you like us to scrape it off or make a new drink?" Huh? It took me by surprise so I just gave her the drink. She made another one but didn't bother to apologize for the mistake. The Starbucks way I am used to would have been to apologize, offered to make a new drink, and even let me keep the old one. My first and last time at this Starbucks. 3 people working, chatting and completely ignoring the few customers that were here. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 cake pops. After 20 mins, I went to the counter to ask about our drinks. They had brought our cake pops to the table right after we ordered. The girl at the counter, pointed to the opposite end of the counter and said they are over there. When I picked them up, they had obviously been there for at least 10 mins, whipped cream melted, condensation all over the cup. I asked if was there standard to not alert the customer that there drink was ready. I was told that they called it out and its not there fault if we dont pay attention. I was dumbfounded at her rudeness. I took our drinks to our table and when I walked back to get straws, two of the three girls were talking about how customers, like me are pathetic. You should have seen them jumped when I commented that i did not appreciate them talking about me. They fumbled trying to act like they weren't. Another customer that was at another table and said yes they were. Just a few miles down the road there is another Starbucks. They will be getting my business. read more

I started to order through the drive thru window to which the employee responded with "Oh boy". I was a little thrown off by her response but it didn't bother me that much. Once we were at the window, she looked at the driver sitting next to me and said "You look tired. Are you ok." which could've just been a horrible delivery to a kind message but her tone and attitude felt malicious. Don't waste your money! I ordered a trenta shaken ice green tea. Easy right?! The barista who made it , I believe his name was Marco, mistakenly made a Vente. Instead of doing the right thing after his coworker at the window had corrected him, he just poured it into the bigger cup and added ice. WTH?! I asked about it after watching him "remake" it, he said" No. I added water too. "Umm that's a lie! And for arguments sake let's say he did add water with the ice , how does that make it any better? I ordered an iced caramel cloud macchiato. The staff knew I was trying this for the first time & I had asked for it to be made with almond milk. She said no problem but wanted to let me know it wouldn't be the same consistency and kindly let me know there are eggs in the cloud powder. I am grateful she was informative. The drink was great and what I expect from a macchiato. Also, the lid was crafted in such a way that I didn't need a straw! This Starbucks always gets something wrong with my order. This visit, I ordered a vente coffee with cream & a sugar free mocha. I had to correct the person taking the order several times that I did Not want a "skinny mocha" that drink comes with non-fat milk. I did not ask for non-fat or low-fat milk. I got to the window and was handed the mocha, had to wait 3 more minutes while they made my coffee and they forgot the cream. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. read more

This Starbucks has gone downhill the last year or so. There wait times are ridiculous and have gotten slower and slower. It took 10 minutes to get my coffee. I ordered an Americano, that's it. Nothing special. No one was in line when I walked up to the counter and there were two baristas working the coffee station. Really nice and a great place to work on the Peninsula. Great to have such a centrally located place closer to Poulsbo/Bainbridge if you have to meet up with people. Plenty of space, and a great place to get some work done. Also, hands down, has the happiest barista/cashier I have ever met. Okay first off white mochas come with whip cream regardless of the milk. So if someone orders it with soy you should ask if they want the whip or not instead of making that choice for the person. I like the taste of soy so I get soy. Obviously I don't have a severe dairy allergy since I know white mocha has dairy in the sauce. Also the skinny blonde at the drive thru window wasn't friendly at all. This store needs to retrain their partners. Really isn't that hard of a job. To top it off my drink doesn't taste great. Shots definitely aren't calibrated and I bet they are pulling over 23 seconds. read more

I waited in line to order, waited 20 minutes for my order. The Barista was getting ready to make my double shot decaf, I reminded her it was decaf and she said I'm sorry we don't have any. I said what do I do now and she said well go back to the cashier and get a refund. So I went back and stood in line for the cashier to get the refund. His only comment was My bad. Well it was my bad too thinking that at 4 on a Friday afternoon that I could get a decaf from a Starbucks store. Not going back to this location again. read more

"Julianne" tried to tell me they didnt make a "medicine ball," iced. After literally arguing with her she gave it to me hot, I said no iced, she said, "it wont taste right because it needs to be steeped, it will taste watery." I told her I order them all the time and I order them iced... she then told a barista to remake it iced...but she chanhed the recipe... to just add peach infusion tea to the iced green tea lemonade, add honey and proceeded to give that to me, and I said no again just pour my regular hot tea that is already made with the tea bags in it over ice!!! I have never had an issue ordering this iced in the past they usually tell me it's going to take five to seven minutes to steep the tea so there may be a little wait and they then proceed to ice it and give it to me. Why would you argue with a customer, about how they want their drink?! Thank God you guys are being retrained on customer service! Starbucks has continued to spiral downhill! Location and decor much better than the old store. However, it's hit or miss if you get the A or B team. Some day, fabulous baristas, perfect drink, fast efficient service.
