This is a neighborhood Starbucks that primarily serves the locals who become regulars. It's on the corner of NE 15th & Fremont so easy to pull up and fill up with a coffee! It's in the same parking lot as the Whole Foods if you need a point of reference. This location is convenient if you are over this way getting groceries or driving through the area. I wanted to come and say that I appreciate that customer service as of recent. The lady that caused me an issue was probably having a bad day. I like the staff very much, but the store is dark and cheerless. In winter it feels dreary. The window wall is designed to open overhead in nice weather but I've never seen it taken advantage of. The bathrooms are woefully under ventilated. read more

Hands down, the best Starbucks I've ever been to and I lived in a lot of states and visited a lot of Starbucks locations. The staff is amazing (!!!) and the drinks are always well-made. I want to LOVE this Starbucks. It is the perfect walking distance from my home and it is a great place to make a short walk in the rain, grab a cup of coffee and read. But! It is so loud!!!!! Every single time I have been the music has been far too loud and the behind the counter work is also distracting. Employees are always kind but I cannot concentrate due to such a noisy environment. I also occasionally like to bring my one year old child with me so they can nap and I can get out of the house, but every time their nap is cut short because of how loud this coffee shop is. They claim to be a good work environment but I am completely unable to be productive when it is so noisy! read more

Pros- All the drinks you expect to find in a Starbucks. Longer hours than the local cafe down the street. Very friendly staff and there's rarely a wait. Nice amount of covered outdoor seating. Cons- I am not going to order food there any more until those unappetizing, scrawny, stale looking La Boulange pastries go away. I miss the lemon pound cake and the holiday gingerbread. read more

The plaintiffs allege that Starbucks not only uses too little liquid in its standard latte recipe but that its cups are not adequately large enough to contain the amount of beverage stated on their size menu. So if you ordered a grande (16 ounce), it's really more like drinking a tall (12 ounce). Court documents state, "Starbucks Lattes are made from a standardized recipe, which Starbucks instituted in 2009 to save on the cost of milk -- one of its most expensive ingredients." The "fill to" lines etched on the pitchers used by baristas to heat milk result in drinks don't measure up to the tall (12 ounce), grande (16 ounce), and venti (20 ounce) sizes listed on the menu. "By underfilling its lattes, thereby shortchanging its customers, Starbucks has saved countless millions of dollars in the cost of goods sold and was unjustly enriched by taking payment for more product than it delivers." The lawsuit claims Starbucks knowingly engaged in false advertising and has committed fraud. The lawyers are demanding a trial by jury and seeking compensatory and punitive damages as well as restitution for all those affected. Four attorneys are named as plantiff representatives and if the lawsuit's class action status is approved, it would be "open to all U.S. Class Members who purchased a Starbucks Latte"--potentially of millions of customers. This is the second time I have felt compelled to write a review about this location (I wrote a very similar one in Feb '15). Actually no, that is a lie. I have wanted to write another review numerous times, but have not found the time until today. Why today? Well, I went there this morning before 6 (Sunday) and like all the other times before (it really does not matter what time of day it is when it comes to these two female employees), the service is absolutely horrible. Rarely do any of the employees smile, greet you kindly, attempt any sort of human interaction (other than the bare minimum to get your order). It's terrible and is consistently terrible. But it is the two females who have been there over the past 2.5 years that I have been occasionally frequenting this location that are the absolute worst. This AM was no different than my 2/1/15 review, however, it was the other woman who acted as though life was not worth living and that she despises every costumer to enter her place of work. I hate to admit it, but I go to SB far too often and spend way too much money on their coffee and food and there are very few memorable experiences because they typically are all the same -- pleasant. But this location is always memorable because it's always awful and makes me want to tell these two particular woman to stop acting like they hate life. Typically the employees at other stores are kind, cheerful and engaging. Maybe these two woman think that because they work in an affluent neighborhood that they have the right to be total you know whats. It's very disappointing. My previous review, nothing has changed: I have been here a handful of times and I have to say that out of all of the SB locations that I frequent, this store consistently gives poor costumer service. The employees act as though you are an inconvenience to them. Twice now, on an early Sunday morning, I have not been greeted or even kindly spoken to. Cheer up!! I know it's 5:30am on the weekend, but no one made you decide to work at SB's. If it sucks so bad, quit! I worked in the customer service industry for 12 years, so I get it, but these two woman, clearly hate people, or at least act as though they do. read more

I *want* to like this Starbucks. There are a few employees in here who I actually really like, hence the extra star. My problem is the cleaning/trash/spray bottle-fixation, which overlaps with the food/coffee service. Every single time I walk in there, all the employees have their hands on a trash bag, or they're spraying the counter, or they're emptying a soapy mop bucket. That's fine. That's probably what you're supposed to do in between customers. But *almost* every single time this happens, the employees don't take a moment to wash up in between handling chemicals and giving me my coffee/food. I've stopped going in there for this reason. And believe me, I don't think this problem is necessarily relegated to just *this* Starbucks location. But I can't tell you how many times I've dealt with a Starbucks employee spraying/emptying the trash and then grabbing my coffee cup, etc. It's gross. read more

This store gets a lot of business for a fairly small location. The staff are always friendly and busy and the store is clean. To see reviewers complain that Starbucks coffee at the store is like any of the Starbucks coffee is exactly why you go to Starbucks. The quality of the coffee is consistent. read more
