I probably spend $5000/year at various Starbucks across the country. This location is one of the worst. With no line in front of me to order it still took 20 minutes to get my drink. Someone was training a new recruit but a bone-dry cappuccino is not a drink for beginners. After telling the barista to use a spoon instead of pouring it in so it wouldn't get too wet, I was given quite the dismissive look with some serious frumpy face. I specifically asked him to use two carafes so he wouldn't burn the milk, but, alas, he re-steamed the same milk and burned it. With so many negative reviews here how does no one in management fix this mess? Meanwhile during my layover in Dallas it came out correct, fast and with a smile from the cashier to the final handoff. read more

Wife and I where leaving on vacation and needed food while we where waiting for our flight. I ordered a venti coffee frap with whip cream. As with most airport Starbucks the line was descent. The baristas where friendly but a bit overwhelmed and where not he slow side. There was virtually no seating which did not matter so much as we took our drinks and went to the gate to drink. The frap was made fine it was not the best I have had as I think they either put to much or not enough syrup in as it had a different taste than I was used too. Overall the drink was ok. read more

Quite small branch with very limited seating spots. I planned on sitting here with my Green Tea Latte and get some work done, but the background music was too loud and the place itself isn't ideal for that. My Green Tea Latte was great! If you know me, you know I love Starbucks. This location is hit or miss. I always order a chai tea latte with soy milk and on multiple locations this location has given me a different milk. It had to have been coconut milk because it ruined the entire drink and had to be tossed. Not sure how this continues to happen but has never happened to me at any other Starbucks. read more

The Pittsburgh International Airport Starbucks is excellent! We ordered coffee and food after our flight landed at the airport, and everything was amazing. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. The workers were super friendly and helpful. Service was quick and efficient. Our order was ready in no time, and the food and coffees were perfect. I would recommend the Spinach, Feta, and Cage-Free Egg White Wrap. I was pretty hungry after the flight, and this was delicious, healthy, and filling. After many years of complaints and demands from travellers the Pittsburgh International Airport has added two Starbucks. This review is for the Airside terminal location. As many of my readers know, I am an avid Starbucks addict. I have been to 73 different locations so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to Starbucks. I ordered a Grande Pikes Place roast and it was made to my liking. I added sugar and some creme but it turned out really good. The staff were really friendly and seemed to know their stuff when it came to drink making. This location has a full menu of regular Starbucks drinks and snacks. The location is brand new so the store is really clean. There's seating for at least 20 customers. This location has an abundance of power outlets at their "bar" style tables. They have Pittsburgh themed mugs and ornaments in case you need to grab a quick souvenir on your way to your destination. You can also use the Starbucks app to pay at this location however I wasn't able to due to a lack of wifi in the area. That is really my only complaint. Which is maybe fair or unfair since it's out of the Starbucks location's control. Since i travel to and from Pittsburgh on a regular basis I am bound to visit this location over and over again. read more

Not sure why the two star review? Its starbucks people....lower your expectations. In a place where time is the only thing that matters starbucks shines. The employees at this location got 20 people through the line in under 10 minutes while I was there. Not only was it fast but my food came out hot and accurate. The best thing the Pittsburgh International Airport did was putting in Starbucks. It opens early and stays open late. I'm here at all hours and love that it is open. I have a variety of things I like to get at Starbucks and my order has never been messed up. They keep the line moving at all times. They work quickly and efficiently and still manage to keep smiling no matter what time of day or how busy it is. It's nice to have a coffee or tea while waiting for someone's flight to come in. Horrible. Sat and listen to the girl at the register beg to be taken off of the register because she was tired. She was loud enough for everyone to hear. Then she gives a guy a coffee, starts to take my order then realizes that she gave him the wrong coffee. Instead of going over to the guy, she laughs about it and then proceeds to yell across the baggage claim for him to come back. When he comes back, he apologizes for grabbing the wrong coffee when in fact she gave him the wrong coffee. Instead of correcting him she made him look bad by telling him out loud that he grabbed the wrong coffee! He explained to her that she gave it to him a and again she belittle a 2nd time and argued back that she just out it in the counter and he "grabbed it"! Five seconds of customer service training would go a long way for this young lady!! read more

They were not able to make frappacinos because they were out of the base mix - but the other airport store before security wasn't - why didn't they get some from them? Then they were out of almond milk. All of that was somewhat mildly acceptable but what wasn't acceptable and cause me to come on here was how rude they were to everyone. We pay $5 for coffee not because of the coffee but for the experience. Rudeness is not that experience. read more

I was so very happy when PIT airport finally got a Starbucks. But only to be disappointed repeatedly by the slow terrible service. It's an airport - YOU HAVE TO WORK QUICKLY. I can't wait in line for 15 minutes for a cup of coffee where I have to repeat several times what my order is. I've now been here at least three times and each time was equally bad. After checking into this Starbucks to purchase a bottled water before my flight back home, I noticed it only had an average of two stars. Yikes. How does a Starbucks earn two stars??? They make your coffee, pour you coffee, microwave a breakfast sandwich or get you a pastry. What can make this location two star worthy? The answer was visibly evident by the long line of caffeine deprived souls waiting to order, just order. Yelp Elite Mara K's review on Nov 2016 is pretty spot on. There was only one barista taking orders at 7am and there were 10 people in ahead of me, taking a total of 15 minutes to purchase my one bottled water. Now, seriously, in the grand scheme of life, 15 min to get a coffee or a water, first world problems, right? hehe. Of course not. Sad that we've become a "NOW NOW NOW" culture where waiting 30 seconds for a coffee makes us trippy. But it's the world quick service places like Starbucks is living in so yes, if you're slow, people won't be thrilled. I had no issues with the staff but then again you can't mess up a bottled water. I am astonished by this Starbucks. Comical how rude the cashier was. A new and much higher level of rudeness. I was hesitant about going in and should have trusted my gut. But dear god. The woman actually yelled at me, corrected my order and treated me as if I was an idiot. This is the airport. Horrible service, and horrible ordering. They ought to shut this Starbucks down. 20 minutes in the morning for a cup of coffee, when they don't even brew the blonde roast because they claim that they don't get enough requests. One time, they were completely out of milk prouducts, the next time they were completely out of blonde roast. How do you run out of something that you claim you never sell? This time they had to brew it even though they had two darks brewed and not a single blonde roast brewed. I think I'm done. read more

This is located directly across from the vehicle rental kiosks which makes it very convenient. I stopped for a regular coffee of the day and 2 croissants just after they opened on a weekday morning so the service was fast and the coffee was very strong. I must have just beat the rush of airport employees that stepped up after me. The barista was pleasant but she proceeded to ask me 3 times in a row if I wanted my croissants heated or not. She said "I keep forgetting" heated or un-heated. She probably just needed some coffee! read more

I'm at PIT airport about once a month, and given that Starbucks is basically the only hot beverage option in this mid-sized airport I have had no choice but to visit this place on multiple occasions. Simply one of the worst Starbucks experiences I've had - either the wait is too long (once I waited 30 minutes) or the people behind the counter don't pay ANY attention (I asked for cream for my coffee since the pitcher was out, but they all pretended to be deaf). Furthermore, they're terribly slow at crafting drinks. Terribly slow. Don't go if you're in a rush for your flight. read more

Im an employee at the airport. As I went to buy my team some coffee, I walked in and there was no one in line, ordered my drinks, I paid, went to the end to wait for the 4 drinks I ordered. After getting them, the Starbucks employee said "no more lists." At first, I didn't understand what she meant, and then she repeated herself and said it holds up the line. I told her "If the four of us walked in one right after the other you would still have to make the drinks right?!" I don't see how a place can tell you, you can't get more then one coffee drink at a time?! On top of that, we are trained at the airport to receive great customer service...which I did not receive. read more

I'm a little late at this review but I was there maybe close to two weeks ago and everyone there was smiling and having a lot of fun. It was early but all the happiness made my morning. As I was in line a girl was taking orders as well as the girl on the register she was getting everyone's orders ready for the cashier. She politely asked my name and I told her my name was Mike she laughed and said I never met a Mike I didn't like! Needless to say everyone started laughing and having a good time. You don't find many places like this anymore with all the personalities. I wish I would've told her she made my day that day. I have used that saying on one of my buddies & we get a kick out of it. This is, by far, the slowest Starbucks I've ever encountered. I walked out - again - this morning due to the staff slowness. Four workers behind the counter and not one of them with any pressing concern for the 26 people standing in line at 5:15 a.m. I attempted to wait it out but after 15 minutes, I was still five people away from providing my order. You'd think an airport store would operate under some sense of urgency, being in the boarding terminal of an actual airport and all. But not this store. No sir, the disorganized staff independently went about their business like they were browsing books in a library.
