Usually everytime I come here the service is great! The issue I have most times is with them following the order correctly. I usually ask for a macchiato upside down, this is the 3rd time they have failed to do so. Also I haven't gotten an answer on why they don't have the cold foam lids anymore? This location isn't terrible, it's definitely hit or miss, but I recommend the one in Ottawa! Never any issues there! read more

what is not to love? It's a Starbucks, it's consistent across the country, and they're open late.

I really love our Starbucks, but they lack consistency. It is just never the same. We get chai lattes, and sometimes they are just milk forward. Coffee drinks are sometimes so bitter. They try to put more sugar in it. The people are always nice. It's a great plus to hangout too. I just wish that you knew what you were getting. read more

This is a extremely busy Starbucks. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm and the drive through line wrapped 180 degrees around the small strip of businesses of which it's a part of (it's on the very north end). I parked, put my mask on, and went inside to order. There were about 7-8 people inside waiting for their orders, and behind the counter,6 very busy employees - everyone was wearing a mask. I was greeted as I walked up to order. I ordered their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte along with the Bacon Gruyere Egg Bites (love those, and good for you too :) ). About 5 minutes later, a young man called "Egg Bites for Dan", and then about another 5 minutes passed when the barista stated "Pumpkin Spice Latte for Dan". She handed me my drink and wished me a wonderful day. Every Starbucks looks almost identical inside and out, so the service one receives it what sets them apart. The latte was delicious and the egg bites were tasty. I was very pleased with my visit and the service I received. I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

I love this Starbucks because they are always willing to try what ever off the menu requests I ask for. I enjoy an iced apple drink with Carmel in it and on the whipped cream topping even though it's not on the menu they always make it. The staff are always fast and friendly. read more

Me and my family had went to another Starbucks and they canceled our coffee and we got three summer berry boba's. The boba had white stuff floating around on it and there was black spots that looked like turf. We had went to this Starbucks and had asked them if it was normal or if they've ever seen that before. They said no they never have and were quite surprised it looked like that. They were extremely nice and offered to make us them over again and we hesitated because the original drinks weren't from this one but they insisted that it would be fine. This is your typical starbucks with kind baristas who are busy with drive through and online, but do ok with the people that actually come to the store to order and hang out for a while. For those who don't realize, that's what coffee shops used to be like. There is a nice patio to read or study on, except when they turn the music on to load. It's always too noisey inside for me to read. It's pumkin season again and unfortunately they won't heat up the pumkin scones, so don't ask. Expect a piece of pumkin cake with a thick hard like "frosting" on top. They say it's because the icing will melt and burn you. I say "don't warm it up that long" :-| read more

Driving I-80, I see Starbucks billboard at next Exit 75. Easy exit off & on the highway. I didn't get my morning cup o' Joe. I needed some caffeine to keep me going. Nice place & staff. Crowded, lots of customers. Well stocked shelves featuring Starbucks logo cups, traveling mugs, water bottles, ground coffee & beans. Women's bathroom clean, w/lots of soap & TP. There is a hand-dryer (instead of paper towels). That must be the loudest hand-dryer in Illinois! read more

Was having the absolute worst day and my family was traveling I was exhausted and mentally fried. Stopped in and the cashier immediately made me feel at home, she knew that I was all to pieces and just not having a great day. They started encouraging me and pointing out positive's immediately regarding my situation. They comped my drink and we're just the greatest at drink suggestions. I love my drink and can't wait to order it at my local store. They completely turned my day around & the coffee was great! read more

If you live in the city or suburbs you typically will not have an issue trying to locate a Starbucks. In Lasalle county you can count your blessings and praise The Lord if you stumble across one. A few things set this Starbucks apart from others in its franchise first and fore most you can view a corn field from its side walk patio, secondly not all of the staff is particularly well trained coffee and latte aficionados, for the area this isn't a big concern but if you are expecting a well seasoned who knows their trade you may find your self disappointed. read more

I'm originally from western Illinois and frequently visit my family there. This Starbucks is a mandatory pit stop on the way out there and on the way back to Chicago. The service is amazing. Good Midwestern people serving you with a smile on their face. It's always refreshing after being in the car for a couple of hours. Starbucks is good and always a safe coffee bet. It beats out gas station coffee any day so I'm glad there is a Starbucks in rural Illinois! My only qualm about this specific location is that I've had a pastry or two that have been some what dry kind of old tasting. Maybe they just don't get their shipments as frequently as other locations. The coffee is still great though! I'll be making a stop this weekend on my way home - looking forward to it! read more

I love coming to this Starbucks location. Everyone who works here is so friendly and I come here so often that many of the employees know what drink I get all the time. Sometimes I get something different but most times I get the venti soy no water chai. I also like the peppermint mocha, cafe mocha, caramel macchiado, and caramel brulee. I like the food they have there. The turkey sandwich and egg salad sandwiches are awesome. The protein bistro box is good. Their brownie is one of the best I have ever tried and so is their pumpkin bread. I love the ambiance in Starbucks and the music is calming. But I recommend Starbucks to everyone! read more

I've been coming to this Starbucks for a few years. The drive-thru is speedy and the people working are always chipper, positive, and polite! I live near Rockford where there are several Starbucks and none of them are as consistently great as this Peru location. Today I decided to finally leave a review when the manager was assisting me. I came in hours after my visit to double check I didn't leave my debit card- and he kindly bought my iced chai! The people working here make this Starbucks great. I love this starbucks i really do this one in specifics usually.....has the best employees and everything is fantastic. We all know the products Starbucks puts out are some of the best, but what keeps me coming back to Starbucks everywhere are the people that work there. I recently stopped by here with my wife and 2 little ones on our way home to Denver and left my phone in the mens room. I didn't realize I made the bone head mistake until we were 200 miles past this location and it was only b/c someone turned my phone into staff member Nicole. She notified her DM, Keith, he called me to let me know that someone would be helping me the following day. The very next day as promised another amazing employee, Tracy, got a hold of my wife and coordinated a plan to mail my phone back to me. This is the best part, I offered to pay for costs but she simply said "No worries, pay-it-forward :-)". That is precisely what I'll be looking out for, an opportunity to pay-it-forward to someone else. I went to this Starbucks while on holiday to Peru. Went here to get a drink. I ordered go to sit down some woman yells "it's fuc$&$&@ Donald trump". I say excuse me she gets up and says "your mother fuc@&$&@ Donald Trump". I ask are you high or drunk. She would not shit up so I did call her a few names and told her shut up. I complained to the manager and his co-worker said it's that woman again, letting me know I was not the first. I told him I should be able to enjoy my drink without being harassed. He told me I could go outside to the hot patio area. I asked him to call police as she was high and harassing he refused. I asked why he was not addressing because obviously I was not first incident he said they were trying to figure out how to handle. I got my money back I could not even enjoy my drink.
