I got the Birds + Bees latte which came with honey and rose extract. I loved how much the rose flavor came through in the drink. Our (2) 16oz drinks were $13 which is more expensive for the area; but, they also offer some of the most unique flavor pairings. Tip: They do charge a 3% service fee when someone uses a credit card.

They roast their own coffee beans and have them on display for purchase just under the cash register. Most of the bags I looked at, beans had been roasted in the last week so they are fresh! I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options.

The food menus were not obvious and the staff did not help much. Their drink menu board is fun but hard to read. Sent a group in after me and they couldn't find where there was a food menu and had a hard time with the staff showing them (they didn't even after being asked) so they only got coffee and got food elsewhere. Items did take awhile. I think if they were more helpful to out of towners (tons of hotels around) and made it more obvious of their different offers they could get a lot more $$$ per head. Decent vibes inside. I do feel like they could have done more for the aviation theme.

I didn't buy any at the time but I took a picture of the bags as a reminder. On Wednesday, before new years, I went into their store and was instantly greated by amazing smelling coffee grounds. They didn't happen to have the kind I wanted ready in full sized bags as they were currently roasting it, but they did have it in "sample" sizes. Their samples are absolutely huge btw. I bought their 6 pack sample special and picked out 6 different types. They were great at helping me pick out the right ones for me and threw in an extra bag. They had amazing coffee accessories in hither shop with their awesome art on them! I live their French press drinking mug!! I MUST get it next time I go! Lol I had to run soo many errands afterward and the coffee grounds made my car smell fantastic! When I got home, I immediately opened the box to find a cute card and two chocolates!! I brewed the Drink from the skull of your enemies coffee and OMG. Best coffee ever! My husband even commented several times on how fantastic the coffee was! I just brewed the last of my first sample bag today! One sample made 4bor 5 pots of coffee (cant remember exactly lol) it's amazing and worth every penny, if not more. Their coffee alone is enough to make me a forever customer and to spread word of their amazing grounds but their customer service, friendliness and absolute amazing personability were above and beyond. 10/10, highly recommend this coffee to anyone and everyone with taste buds!

So this place is right up my alley. Dragon's Roost has been around for years. It used to be in Sylvania, then Holland. Now it's in West Toledo, on Sylvania Avenue, just east of Pa Jolly's and just west of the Chessie Circle Trail crossing. This is by far the best spot. THIS is EXACTLY where a place like this belongs. Atmosphere: Two-story building. Upstairs is gaming tables and the like. Downstairs is the café plus games, miniatures, and books for sale. Coffee: Damned good, and the menu is huge. Personally I like the Dark Lord and the Dragon's Breath. Both are mocha-style drinks flavored with hot peppers (ghost and cayenne). D'sR also serves breakfast, cookies, pastries, hotdogs and so on. I haven't eaten here yet. Staff: Friendly and accommodating. Hours: Longer than what's listed on Yelp or the website (in fact, the site doesn't look like it's been updated in about a year). During the week they actually open at 7 a.m. every day, including Monday, and close at 10 p.m. Weekend hours are a little different. So if you're a closet geek, like me, this place is for you.
