This is a Starbucks stationed at the Welcome Break at the Oxford Services stop. Like other Welcome Breaks (Warwick comes to mind), there is a Starbucks kiosk in the atrium as well as a full service Starbucks directly across. The kiosk is fully staffed and has the standard Starbucks drink menu as well as food items. The full cafe has ample seating outside of the central food court and also stocks merchandise such as the official Starbucks cups and their bagged coffee.
Some of the prices here are the same as a free-standing location, however promo prices are not in affect. For example, the hot mulled fruits are about £1 more than in town. The drinks are quite competently made and are much better than the espresso drinks available at other Welcome Break Starbucks locations. I was surprised at how well my cappuccino was crafted. I also tried a croissant, which irritatingly came with no accompaniments and tasted a bit stale. Still, it's miles above above other roadside coffee shops. If you are traveling on the M40 and are highly in need of caffeine, I recommend this Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up. read more
