I stopped by the drive-thru to purchase a gift card, and the customer service was very disappointing. The employee who helped me had a dismissive attitude and made me feel like my purchase was an inconvenience. I really don't understand the difficulty of understanding that when I ask for caramel crunch topping, I want the crunch and not the caramel sauce. There is a big difference. But more than half the time, at any Starbucks location, they tend to give me the sauce and not the crunch. It really is a head scratcher. One time I caught one of them pouring the sauce into the cup. I asked if they were making it for me, they said yes. I told them I didn't want the sauce. They ended up throwing that cup away (which is a big waste by the way) to remake a new one. If only they listened correctly the first time, they would've done it the right way without wasting a plastic cup. read more

On a holiday late afternoon, we were greeted and welcomed in. I ordered a decaf almond milk latte in the largest size. The barista that took my order was super kind and efficient. This is my go-to Starbucks every weekend Saturday and Sunday mornings, I take a peaceful drive just to come here. Now let me be clear I do not go to the one on Ball and State College. That place is pure chaos. Everyone going to Disneyland stops there, and it feels like trying to get coffee in the middle of an airport. You place a mobile order and you're lucky if you get it by next week. Been here about a dozen or so times as I've been in Orange a bit more often lately, and found this to be a very good SB location. They do well on the basics of friendly service, efficient drink prep and comfortable seating areas, both inside and outside. If you dine in, they offer the option of a real glass or cup for free refills of brewed coffee, iced coffee and iced tea. One of the clerks there was extremely rude--I'd even say mean. I'm never coming back. I can't believe they would hire someone like that to work in customer service. We had a similarly unpleasant experience with the same staff member. She insisted we pay before allowing my son to use the restroom and told us we could only order a large or extra-large size. My son politely asked her three times if he could use the restroom, but she just glanced at him without replying. She was extremely rude. Stopped by the drive-through yesterday 1/19/26 around 7AM and had a pretty unpleasant experience. The barista who was taking drive through orders and handed me my drink was extremely quiet and standoffish no friendliness at all. I said "thank you" countless times because I like to thank workers and got absolutely no response back not once just complete silence after every thank you. I made a quick stop to purchase the new summer drink from Starbucks before my errands. If you are a fan of the Firecracker popsicle, you'll love this drink. The Summer Skies Drink has raspberry flavored pearls that add a lot of flavor, but it would be interesting to try the drink without them. This drink has coconut milk. The barista did a great job with this drink. I'm not sure how the ambiance is inside because I've always gone through the drive-through. Would I order this drink again? Starbucks in general needs to stop being restroom gatekeepers. I made an online order at this location, walk in and everyone is acting busy , no greeting even though there is no-one in line or waiting for customers. I finally ask someone for the restroom code and they tell me that I will get it once I place an order ( no cashier was even present to place an order if I had needed to). The employee reluctantly gives me the code after I tell her I placed a mobile order and gave my name. When they finally make the drink they don't even call the names-- they just place it on the mobile order area which is ok I guess. I went through the drive thru with my boyfriend around 7:40pm, and ordered a pumpkin cream cold brew & a very berry hibiscus. First thing is that for the very berry, they were out of the fruit that they usually put into the drink. So when they handed us the drink, it just looked like clear flavored soda. The lady who was working didn't ask us if this was okay, and simply handed us the drink and said "sorry we're out of fruit. But it tastes the same." It did not taste the same, and we would have definitely changed our order if this was the case. Secondly, when I tried the pumpkin cream, it tasted like straight water (super terrible). I had to go back through the drive thru & let them know my drink tasted like water. Without any other explanation, she just told us "oh this is uncut. we usually put half cold brew half water" (I've gotten this drink so many times & THIS IS NEVER HOW THEY MAKE IT) So then I kindly asked her if she can remake it and "just put straight cold brew and no water" She remade the drink and had me try it. It tasted better but not entirely good. I told her it was better (didn't want to bother her) and she said "okay, I made it mostly uncut." First if all what does uncut even mean , and second of all, that means she STILL put water in it even though I had specifically asked her not to!!! I didn't ask her to remake it again, but my drink pretty much still tastes horrible and it is undrinkable. Super unpleased with my experience at this location. read more

I understand that a lot of businesses are short staffed but it is not fair to shut down mobile order AND the cafe inside to where you can only order if you are in the drive thru. What about the people that walked over or don't have a car?? At least keep mobile order open. I come to this location somewhat often as it is near my work, but it seems to be nonstop issues every time I go. From waiting 20 minutes in a line with three cars, to being told my mobile order is not ready while I am staring at it directly, I do not have these issues at any other Starbucks I go to, so I am unsure why it's so frequently an issue here. Some of the employees are very kind and helpful when these issues arise, but others such as the one I dealt with today are rude.
