Not me typically, BUT I have been in town in Okemos this week for training and every day that I have stopped in for my morning coffee the energy and service of the staff at this location has been consistent and contagious. This is my favorite Starbucks, they have such nice people who always welcome you with a smile, the coffee is so good, and the reason it takes a little longer is good coffee comes to those who wait, I feel the in this generation of people should learn some patience, thank you all for making my day. read more

I can't believe how slow the service is at this Starbucks. I see three people walking around and we had to wait for almost 20 minutes.

The coffee was good (as always) but not too much that stands out different from any other Starbucks, it's pretty mid. I will say it's pretty expensive for a coffee, for me the coffees are usually about six dollars for the smallest size. (obviously depends on what drink you get though). If you're looking for a fast coffee for on the go, then I would recommend it. read more

I love this place, my only complaint is that people bring their dogs inside occasionally that are clearly not service dogs. Hi, we dont want pet dander in our drinks and food. Otherwise, the staff is friendly and will remake your drink if it is incorrect. The new store is nice and CLEAN which is important. You can tell they take pride in their work and the store's appearance. read more

Normal SBucks. My mobile order was ready when I arrived and average as expected. My complaint is the location. WHY DOES SBUCKS KEEP PUTTING STORES IN BAD LOCATIONS? The drive through Vick's the parking. There is NO SIGN ON THE MAIN ROADS. The access is extremely limited when you do find it. I am sick of SBucks placing locations in these kind of places. Next time I'm in the area I now know of a better place to go that is more inviting. read more

Since they re-opened, the drinks are not good anymore and the food has been poor. Once sawed off male manager is more concerned about his counter tops than servicing a long time customer. His is also a jerk to his staff. Never used to be like this. read more

Headed out to Grand Rapids when the roads were are a bit icky calls for Starbucks to keep you warm! After stopping to get treats we continued on our journey and went through the drive thru for some chai teas. The woman working the drive thru was very friendly and we didn't wait more than a few minutes. Consistent menu and quality, that's what I like! read more

Per usual, the coffee and atmosphere was great like most Starbucks, but I found the staff to be impeccable at this particular one. Visited on 3/20 and every single staff member I encountered was extremely nice, friendly, and fun. 4 stars for friendly staff, cleanliness, fast and efficient service and they got my order right! Go Starbucks! The first Starbucks to get my order correctly without overcharging me and just simply followed what I want: in a tall cup- half a cup of steamed milk with 2 shots of espresso. How does every other Starbucks treat this order? They charge me for a cappuccino or a latte or they give me cold milk instead of steamed milk. Plus a side of attitude. I'm giving them four stars for extra friendly and fun staff! However, very slow at drive-thru (always a line wrapped around building) and they run out of baked goods quickly...sometimes by mid-morning...consistently. Lately I have had to go back through drive thru to have them remake drinks (mochas, for example) that were poorly done or missing ingredients. Throughout November, their hours were all over the place...posting signs at drive thru of closing at 6, 4, etc when web site said 9pm. Seems to be ok now. Also, if I pull up at drive thru at 8:50pm, don't say you're closed when you just helped the person in front of me. Turn your light off so I don't drive in. But technically you aren't closed yet. Otherwise love the staff and convenience of drive thru. read more

Typically, I'm always going...just like everyone else. In short, I prefer the drive-thru since it usually is faster than going inside, and the line moves quick (if there is one). This location is off I-96, and is a little bit of work to (if it's rush hour). The staff is friendly, polite, make your experience personable, and are just genuine folks. If an order comes up wrong, they'll fix it, no questions (except what it is to make that order right.) The inside? It has been recently renovated, newer interior...still a bit narrow, with assorted tables and chairs to take a seat. As such, it's usually occupied by students studying, or nearby establishment's employees getting their favorite cup of coffee. The few times I've been in, it's usually loud, but it's just a quick "grab and go" kind of deal. The food menu items are pretty good too. If anything, try from their seasonal menu when their seasonal specialty drinks rotate. Sandwiches when they have them are good as well. I still love the cream cheese danish, and their scones. Tl;dr, It's a great place to go off 96, get a good coffee drink (frap, cap, latte, whatever you're craving) and even a little something to nibble on. Just be prepared if you're going during rush our, it gets busy at the Jolly/Okemos intersection. read more

As usual, a Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks. Nicely located off of the freeway makes it a great location for picking up a caffeinated beverage either on your way to, or from, MSU. The interior is rather narrow, but it seems to be regularly utilized for studying despite its distance from campus. It would be nice if they had later hours, especially on MSU game days. read more

This Starbucks has plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your coffee. The staff is friendly and they get coffee out pretty fast. If there is a large crowd, the yeah it might be a little slower. As someone who goes to this Starbucks regularly, I'd say it's one of the better ones. read more

I love Starbucks but this location is consistently slow, out of my frequent order more often than not, and is just not the typical positive Starbucks experience I'm used to at other locations. They seem to have a communication and/or leadership issue that leads to really slow service. Also, while there are a few super nice employees, I've waited at the counter multiple times without anyone greeting me or saying they'll be right with me if they are working on something else. I do like the location and the interior space is nice, but the service experience is just generally blah. read more

I don't usually post bad reviews on yelp (or in general) for common/chain places (I imagine very few people read them), but this particular Starbucks is SO BAD that I feel obligated. Let me start off by saying that I live in a bit of a coffee shop desert, so my options are quite limited. Unless I feel like driving 15-20 minutes, decent lattes and other things that I can't make for myself at home are not convenient. Hence my return to this Starbucks...and my consistent letdowns. Since we're obligated to give stars here, the one star is for convenience. Nothing else good about this location. The baristas and cashiers are rude and unfriendly. Whether placing an order in the store, at the drive thru or via mobile, the wait time is always waaaaaayyyyyy longer than it should be. The drinks are often poorly made and this location is consistently out of things (which I only find out after I order, pay and wait and then finally ask about timing). I encounter any combination of the above issues almost every time I enter the store, resulting in refunds and gift cards for 3 of 5 of my most recent visits. Impressive, right? So while I can't say that I won't be back (read statement on convenience above), I will say with great certainty that I will not enjoy it. read more

Newly remodeled mid-November 2012, this is one of the best around. Friendly, fast, clean. Tends to be busy Sunday afternoons and most evenings as MSU and Okemos high school are close. Great place to study or enjoy a cup. read more

I love Starbucks. I get the same drink everytime, unless the holiday drinks are available! The staff rushed me for my order along with my sister in front of me then put our orders together and we told them they were seperate. So it actually took longer for them to seperate our orders, then my order was wrong and my sisters soy latte was warm not hot. Don't. Just don't. This location is conveniently located by the freeway, but in comparison to other locations this one is truly subpar. The drive-thru is slower than molasses. To get around the slow drive thru, I used the mobile app order/pay ahead, went inside and STILL ended up waiting 5+ minutes for a regular coffee. This is not the first time this has happened. I learned my lesson not to order an expresso or latte, too much froth or just plain flavorless. So, I stick to coffee. Don't order extra splash of cream because you'll get cream and no coffee or a cup of cold coffee because too much cream. Literally, it's like the staff does not drink coffee or has any wits about coffee. Instead of waiting for a remake, I dump it and order a coffee from Dunkin Donuts or Tim Hortons which is also close in prolixity. read more

Not a huge coffee drinker (I did have a blended coffee drink that was very good today though) but a huge coffee shop proponent to do work and read for school. Great location - but unacceptable internet service. Almost no one here on a Thursday afternoon and internet continually fails to load regular pages. In fact, trying to leave this negative feedback took me much longer than expected as Yelp took 5 reloads until it finally came up. I love the team that works the drive-thru at this location. To me, this is one of the most professional and courteous crews I've encountered. There are a few who are newer and aren't in the groove yet, but most have been there long enough for me to feel I know them. I don't care for Starbucks pastries and regular coffee. I go exclusively for peppermint mocha's and iced teas. This crew always shakes the teas and adequately stirs the mochas. You can tell when short cuts have been taken. read more

Really sad when it the starbucks employees themselves who make you want to leave with loud conversation, laughter, and inappropriate discussion of who is going on vacation where to practice making babies.
