Disclaimer: I'm a Starbucks addict! That being said, this is second to the worst Starbucks I've ever been to (and keep coming to for lack of options in the area). They are SO UNBELIEVABLY SLOW! On a random Sunday afternoon at like 1pm, I waited a half hour for a Chai tea latte. The barista moved at the speed of molasses! Do I have the mobile app!? Oh yes! Even when you order ahead, give it a good 45 mins for it to he almost ready by the time you get here. And the customer service?! HA! A chain review - this should be easy. They have a protocol and if they follow it, the product should come out the same. I asked for a grande latte in a cup to drink in-house. They didn't get the cup and when I pointed out the mistake the barista grabbed a cup off the shelf unceremoniously, and made the latte without warming the cup. Did a mobile order for the bogo today, I knew it would be busy and because of this I ordered at 12:03 and didn't show up until 12:23, figuring 20 minutes was good. Nothing was ready so I went to front counter and was greeted by a "WHAT"... very charming.. I inquired and then the nice employee with shorter hair said I'm working on that right now. Walked out at 12:31. Maybe the angry bitter one at the register should consider other work if she's so hard up to even greet a customer with a simple hello. Wish I could say I won't be back but there's not a lot of options. Counting the days till Dutch is open with less hanis bitter staff. This store has been open (ya the hours have fluctuated due to COVID and loss of staff) throughout the majority of the pandemic. The staff is very nice and you can tell does it best to try and keep up with all the demands of customers. Pretty nice Starbucks a bit small inside and hard to get to off 42nd, baristas seem to try and master the craft into a Starbucks frappes and iced/hot coffees but have a ways to go, probably visit again if I'm headed west on 42nd and in need of Starbucks. One plus is less people visit this new Starbucks so it's usually not too busy especially the drive thru quick in and out. read more

Ive been to thia location a couple times to study. Its set up better for study and getting together to conversate than the other starbucks on 42nd. More tables and outlets. The staff was also very knowledgable. I needed to reload my card, and instead of having to do the transaction in 2 seperate steps ( 1 load the card and 1 to purchase) like most baristas she was able to simplify it into 1 step read more

Let me start off my saying... I hate writing bad reviews. It takes a lot of consistency for me to actually give negative feedback. I also, travel all across the country and have experience dealing with many different Starbucks locations. I have friends that work at Starbucks so I know the standards that they should be held to. This particular location is lacking in many areas and only succeeding at taking up space. ‍ On multiple occasions I have I have ordered different drink and food items through the "Mobile app" only to find out they are sold out. However, I was not told that until after I was waiting for my products for 22 minutes and finally speaking up. They do not announce you name when drinks are completed. I have one particular drink that I have made a certain way to insure a properly prepared beverage and they still find a way to make it wrong. Not only is it wrong it seems to be wrong in a different way every morning. I keep coming back in hope that I have just caught them on a bad couple of days but that just isn't the case. The management needs to coach their team on better customer service, consistently on paying attention to detail with preparing their beverages, and making sure the proper amount of food items are ordered and available. With that said I guess they get one star for having a fairly clean restrooms and lobby area, however their inventory seems lacking when it comes to product out on the floor. read more

Yeah! A Starbucks open past 10. Kind of goes downhill from there. If you don't want to work until midnight, don't work somewhere open until midnight - that easy. Stopped in for a caffeine fix on drive back home to Dallas. My husband's coffee was lukewarm at best and too much milk was added. My almond milk macchiato was delicious and our boys got frappucinos - sugar packed so no complaints. Person working register was nice enough but not too nice, we were there too close to closing. A girl was sweeping - all around us, gross - and putting chairs up on tables. How inviting. Bathrooms had kind of been cleaned. I'm a Mom with 3 boys so try to get nice bathrooms when I can. Too bad for me, NO toilet paper or backup toilet paper in either of the two bathrooms!!! WTH??? Been there, done that! Stinks having to work to pay for school or whatever but that's how it is. Please keep in mind that if you are open until midnight, customers might be there until midnight. read more

Apparently when they are busy here they don't feel they need to be professional and treat customers properly. My wife asked them a question about one of their drinks and they just walked off and came back with something for her even then though she didn't order anything yet. The employees are always rude and do not acknowledge you when you are waiting for your order. The store at 42d and Grandview is terrible: bad drinks, bad service, long wait times for one drink when the place isn't crowded. My daughter and I had to ask for a refund on Saturday, after our drinks were botched twice and the barista became agitated and started making faces, rude remarks, and shaking her head in disgust that we weren't satisfied with the wrong drinks. The store inside Target, across the street, is a good one and the employees are awake. Go there. read more

I love Starbucks in general. This shop is right down the road from me and on my way to work which makes it perfect. One thing that is very frustrating is when they get a long line in their drive thru. The line has no direction of where to wrap around instead of blocking traffic coming into the Walmart. Other than that the employees are friendly and kind. The quality of the coffee is great. read more

Evidently, they don't understand when I ask for my blueberry oatmeal DRY, what that means, and aren't smart enough to ask... on top of that, I ordered 2, and they only included blueberries for one of them. Needless to say, they both went to waste, because I didn't get a chance early enough into my shift to eat either one of them, before they were gummy and sticky. It's the best Starbucks in town, not really any lines for it that I've seen. It's clean, it has a lot more sitting space, a few outlets to keep you charged. The only problem right now are the brestas are still learning and a bit slow, but I'm sure after a while things will pick up. read more

I am in Odessa for business and unfortunately this happens to be the closest Starbucks. I've gone here 3 days in a row and every day it takes longer and longer. Today I got my mobile order 10 minutes after it was sent, when I got there they hadn't even started it. Instead while I was waiting, they helped someone else who came in after me (and after my order was sent) and filled up his mug. I won't lie, I was worried about this location. It's in the Walmart parking lot for Gods sake, accident waiting to happen. Thankfully they put a median in that only lets your turn right so that solved my concern there. I like that this location is not always super busy and it seems to be a quicker option than the other 42nd location. There are always people here but the line keeps moving vs the dead stand still at the other one down the street (wtf are those people doing down there?!). The coffee has been good the majority of the time, I have received a few burnt tasting drinks but I'm sure it was because people are still fairly new. Most of the baristas are very nice and smiley, there is one who never smiles OR talks! I've had her two days in a row and I just don't know how she got hired on... I'm convinced she's a mute (which is cool and all but most mutes at least smile). So I say 3.5 stars! May change it to more if I stop getting the Debbie-Downer. read more

I have frequently visited this Starbucks since it opened because it is between my house and work. It is also usually significantly less busy then the other 42nd location and therefore much faster. However the other day I drove through on my way home from work. When I reached the drive through line there was a truck at the menu. I noticed that they sat at the menu for a while before someone came over the speaker to take their order. They ordered and I pulled up to the window. I sat at the window for at least 2 minutes before someone took my order. I order a grande mocha frap and the person on the speaker asked if that was it. I replied yes and was told to pull to the window. When I pulled forward the truck was at the window. They got their order and left. When I reached the window the lady asked what I ordered. I repeated my order, handed her my card, and she shut the window. A minute later another woman came to the window and began telling me that I wasn't allowed to order at the window and I had to order at the menu. I told her I had ordered at the menu and had been told to pull up to the window. She kept arguing with me and insisting that no one had even been taking orders. She argued with me for the entire time my drink was being made and basically accused me of lying. I don't understand how a Starbucks can be open in the middle of the day with people in the drive thru line and not have anyone taking orders like she kept insisting. It was very insulting and accusatory. I believe she was a supervisor or manager and I've seen her there frequently. I most likely will not be going back to this Starbucks again but will instead go back to visiting the location on 42nd and grandview. read more
