I was a bit tired from my trip so I walked and sat at the table with a big bottle of water. Prices are a little higher but it's Toronto. Tons of office people stopped in for their caffeine. I loved the plants and logo of the little stall. I got the cortado and sat at the counter and got a London fog to go. Both were so good. The staff was so sweet and you could tell they loved their jobs - I would for sure come back and highly recommend this place for a cup of coffee. They did have some pastries but I was more thirsty than hungry

The space is inviting and airy with plenty of sunshine, and indoor and outdoor seating. They offer coffee drinks, pastries and sandwiches. Since we wanted to explore, we ordered iced lattes and a (seasonal) blueberry earl grey scone to go. The service was fast and friendly, and the lattes were quite good. The scone was delicious and plentiful, albeit a bit too sweet for my taste. I can see myself going back if living in the area.

I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately it was underwhelming. First the ambience:…read morethe space itself is cute but they don't allow anyone to sit inside with computers. It's apparently "laptop free". This feels like a silly arbitrary rule, especially when it's 100 degrees outside. I'm not deducting points for that, but like... let people sit inside and get a little work done. The staff were friendly, so no complaints there. The coffee itself was just.... not delicious. I watched the barista accidentally pour a little bit of frothed milk in my cup and didn't think to start the drink over. Instead he put cold milk on top of now melting ice and served it to me. The ice melting meant the drink was watery and the espresso was acidic. The vanilla flavor was non existent. It was a warm mess and poor excuse for an iced latte. We are in an affordability crisis and people are spending their hard earned money to treat themselves to coffee outside of their home. These businesses should put a little more care into what they're serving and ensure there's quality control. Don't rush the drinks, pay attention to what you're doing, and have a little pride in service.

Midland Avenue has two Starbucks cafes. The one that I frequent regularly is just north of…read moreMcNicoll. The other one is fairly new, which is this cafe. It's on the northwest corner of Midland and Ellesmere. Two Saturdays ago, I was driving up from running errands at Warden and Eglinton. I was thirsty. I needed a beverage. I decided to check out this cafe. If you are going southbound along Midland, it's a breeze to turn right to get to this Starbucks. I was going in the opposite direction. I ended up turning left to go into some business's parking lot, came right out, and then drove into the Starbucks drive-thru. There was a bit of a lineup. The wait wasn't horrible. I ordered a grande iced peach green tea. The woman on the other end was so nice and friendly. The way that she spoke made me think that she was an English major or an actress. Her phrasing and articulation were impressive, which I frankly don't expect from a barista at any cafe! I pulled up to the window and had this nice barista scan the barcode on my Starbucks app. I grabbed my drink out and she wished me a pleasant weekend. I reciprocated and drove away. I exited onto Ellesmere Road. I turned up Kennedy Road and headed home, sipping my drink the entire time. I loved iced peach green tea. It was perfect. It quenched my thirst. I was a happy camper. Although this cafe has odd entrance and exit setups, I had a great experience. If you are a public transit person, this cafe is steps away from Ellesmere station along the Scarborough LRT (Light Rapid Transit) line. If I were a commuter, I like the idea of grabbing a drink or snack before or after riding the LRT. So convenient! (231)
