So I have been to a lot of Starbucks locations, and I must say the outdoor seating and friendly service were the highlights of this location. Our group expanded outside the box and tried some new menu items. The ham and cheese croissant so ok and flat. I'm not sure if it was the microwave or heating mechanism they use but it was NOT like the picture. Oh well, the protein box was good and pretty fresh. Our drinks are what we expected which was good and consistent. One suggestion would be to tidy up the bathrooms. They seem to be messy and kind of dirty. My daughter made a comment to me. I was waking up to finish my 20 hour road trip and saw a Starbucks and was excited to enjoy some in the morning. Upon arrival my sister and I were greeted with a warm warm warm western welcome. The barista "hazel"....(I think) was EXTREMELY nice. She offered to fill up my water with ice ( I was just talking about how parched I was for some ICE water.) she also complemented my name. AND... The other barista (I failed to catch her name) assured me she was working on my order after handing out my sisters... which I thought was reaching staturns rings with excellence. We ordered a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. We also wanted a Cold Brew with Sweet Cream. They told us that they were out of sweet cream so we decided to just get the Refresher. When they handed it to us there weren't any berries in it. When asked about this after we paid, they said that they were out of the berries and that it would taste exactly the same. Well stocked store, pleasant and clean. Being said the fact it is now the only one in 50 or so miles makes it just right. Currently have remodel, construction in the parking lot but easy enough still to get to in a big truck and they have truck parking available (2-4) creatively parked. Night time may be a little more difficult as the motel fills up and the easy in and out route being through the hotel parking around to Starbucks. Adjacent to a hotel but on this day had enough people working there was no wait and my order was done to exact request. A wee bit off the road. (Aka I80 & S83) But worth the stop eventhough it was a 12 minute stop and my dad is being a stinker wanting to make good time to Monroe, SD. I would have used the app but my lovely AT&T service just spun around. If I had my way I would kick that spinny wheel's ass off my phone. The mobile ordering app is great if your service in random places allows. The baristas are very friendly but on the slow side. They make you wait to place your order while they grab other things. California baristas are slow too. But I ain't here in Nebraska to watch corn grow. The "pilot" coffee is NOT cutting it. And it's been two days since I have had a quality cup! So BOOM! I am here in N. Platt at the Starbucks on the wrong side of the road. Patiently waiting for the espresso flavor I have yearned for. I ordered my double shot over ice and vanilla creme frap for my dad. He hates COFFEE with a passion and cannot understand my complete LOVE and need for it. My grande double shot in a vente cup with extra ice and skinny mocha syrup is divine. Dad liked the vanilla bean but "always the critic" had his commentaries. It's a Starbucks and they have coffee and the usual drinks and food and the people were nice. I ordered coffee with cream. There must have been 3 tablespoons of cream in the coffee and the coffee was weak, especially for a dark roast, so not what I expected. I asked the manager to give me a new coffee and he proceeded to pour more cream into my coffee. When I told him I was asking for less cream not more, he poured me a new cup and proceeded to put in the same amount of cream as before . I didn't drink it. To add to the "experience" a woman came in while we were sitting inside and badgered us into giving her car a jump start (temp in the 70s). She used the bathroom, then when we stood at her car she said she didn't know how to use jumper cables so my husband offered. She said the battery was in her trunk and began emptying small bags from her trunk. Her car must have been in the lot for a long to me and although she may have mental health issues, the Starbucks staff did nothing to help us navigate this weird situation in their shop. If you want your coffee fix go to Night Train Coffee in Ogalllala--they're serious about good coffee. read more

Pretty chaotic in here! The staff is very friendly but the store itself is messy, with dirty floors, and boxes piled high. It didn't feel really sanitary, but when you need coffee you need coffee! This location is horrible. They are never open their full hours and twice i've stopped and found only a sign up saying they closed. Once an employee was outside turning people away very rudely before their supposed early close time. They don't want anyone there even close to their new chosen time. Some days it's 4:30, 5, etc. but never 9:30 as listed. It's annoying. If these times were listed online it wouldn't be an issue, but it seems to be a day to day thing. Been here twice now enroute to California from Michigan and back. Staff is very helpful and polite. Very clean and quick service. I loved the collection of mugs they have. Wish other starbucks had 'em. The girl at the register was very helpful and advised us right when asked her about which route to take and what restaurants are worth in the area. Had the most unusual coffee drinks from this Starbucks. 1) a cappuccino which had only a trace of coffee and was basically a mug of steamed milk and almost put me to sleep, and 2) an Americano with room which had a flavor to it I've never encountered before - definitely not the flavor of espresso!
