Mobile ordered on Thanksgiving on my way to work - services was quick, didn't have to wait long....but my ICED latte came out as a HOT latte. I didn't even think about it because I was focused on getting to work. So I pulled around, went up to the counter and was asked "what's wrong?" but in a nice/joking way - I showed the sticker, explaining it says iced, they apologized and said they would make me a new one right away. A minute or so later, I had the correct order & was on my way. I was a little disappointed in this Starbucks because of their lack of friendliness (no greeting), cleanliness, and availability of their seasonal products. There was a huge area of water on the floor, right next to the pick up counter area. I don't know if they have a permanent leak, seriously think not since more water wasn't flowing out during the time we were there (1hr). Anyway, the pool of water was large and seemed like a health risk to me. Luckily no one came in with small kids. I went to order and they were out of some flavoring for their Matcha. When I began looking over the menu and was about to ask for the holiday drinks they were highly advertising, the cashier stated they were out of those as well. It's 3:00, how can you be out of your top holiday drinks? I settled for the Caramel Macchiato which wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to. I had the worst customer service experience at this location this evening. When attempting to place an order via the drive thru I apparently pulled a little bit past the drive thru speaker and the employee CHRIS stated he was unable to hear me. I of course tried to speak up as loudly as I could however he was still unable to hear my order. I stated that I would just pull up to the window and place my order, at which time he stated I CANNOT take your order at the window. (Strange how he could hear that statement but couldn't hear my order) so I pulled up to the drive thru, he states he cannot take my order.... I'm thinking is this a dream or has customer service sunken this low? I was not dreaming...nevertheless after talking to his manager and corporate I'm hopeful he will learn to treat customers with more respect and courtesy in the future. I'd recently cut back on my Starbucks visits in an effort to support local coffee roasters and espresso shops like Coastal Coffee Roasters in Summerville and Lodi Coffee in North Charleston and after my experience today I'm even more appreciative of these local shops where you get service with a smile! read more

I'm a regular Starbucks customer, app, points, stars, etc. I say this to say I go to I frequent Starbucks locations. I had never been to this location and after today I won't go back. I chose not to do the mobile order as I was from out of town and wanted to stretch my legs. All of the staff, 4/5 of them were are doing something , so certainly not lazy, but it seemed like nothing was getting done. It was wild to watch customers literally standing around, probably 15 of us at one time and of course the drive thru was busy. I have worked in the service industry and have been in the weeds as they say but usually come out of it after 5-10 minutes. We ordered at 0812. Some had gotten their drinks, some had not. It was hard to measure when or how people were ahead of me bc of the ability to order via the app. So I approached the barista at 0825, I have never had to wait a long time for my orders, maybe I have been lucky or maybe other locations run more smoothly. I asked about my order and was told that they were about 15 minutes behind on each drink. I walked back and recognized everyone was busy and waited. At 0833 my drink was ready. No one had any bad attitudes and everyone was doing something. I reviewed the other reviews which is why I chose to leave a review. Management needs to help out with some sort of game plan to help this team. They clearly are trying and are nice but some guidance to a better practice will probably help them not burn out and be in the weeds. Lastly if I would have been told that there was a 15+ minute delay in all orders I would have just skipped and gone to another location. read more

To me coffee is really essential in my life. I placed the order and it was well over $25 with coffee and sandwiches. They gave me coffee with no sugar, our Frappuccino was so gross! The service was a little slow even though the line wasn't long. My go-to order is a flat white with vanilla flavoring. It's always delicious. The drive-thru line also goes through the parking lot in such a way that once you're parked you're blocked in by the drive-thru line. It also happens to be the slowest Starbucks I've ever been too. This has been my go-to Starbucks since I moved to Charleston a few months ago. Usually, I order on the app and pick up my order. Recently when I've ordered ahead, my coffee was made wrong. I told the barista and she said the # of pumps on the stickers isn't printing and they just have to guess. I understand things happen, but this has happened 3 times in a row now. The difference in 1 or 4 pumps makes a big difference in the taste of the coffee. I hope they fix their printer soon. read more

Because there is always traffic in the afternoons and there is no way to make a left turn into it without going on another road. I am part of Starbucks management team visiting from out of state. When I walked in, no one greeted me. I stood in front of the POS for a good bit with no one acknowledging me. When the barista called my name, I got my drink, said thank you, but no response from the barista handing me my drink. I went out to sit at the patio. When I went to take my lid off to help cool my drink, the lid popped off so easily. As it turns out, the top of my cup was defective. This act of carelessness could have burn a different customer with the hot liquid. Plus, there was more than an inch of empty space in my cup!! So disappointed with this establishment! read more

So I went threw drive thru, ordered the seasonal venti peppermint mocha iced coffee, without the classic syrup, and with 2%milk. The gentleman on the speaker then asked me to repeat the order. I did. He then proceeded to ask so you want the grande peppermint mocha latte. I said no, a large ice coffee. Then asked if I wanted creamer. ‍ I felt like he didn't listen to me the first two times. I get they can be busy but this was 8pm and there were no other cars in front of me, or anyone in the lobby. It was annoying to say the least. I also ordered a reduce fat turkey bacon sandwich. I received my order quickly. The drink tasted right and the sandwich was hot, but the turkey bacon was hanging off the sandwich. Upon leaving the location, I got to work and realized the over charge me for my order. It was $9.89, but double checking online it should have been $8.44. It looks as though they charged me extra on a few things. I think this location would benefit in retraining drive thru staff, and making sure they are appropriately ringing up items. read more

The worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. One person in line before me and it took 40 minutes to get two coffee drinks and a lemon cake. I ordered a cappuccino with whipped and a cold brew. When handed the cappuccino was told they were out of whipped cream. Think it would change my order if I knew that when I ordered? Yes. As I watched the person who ordered before me, I saw her frustration when she was handed something she did not order. When confronted about the order the barista shrugged and walked off. I really like this Starbucks location. It is a convenient spot off the interstate and Rivers Avenue to meet for business, stop for a drink, or get some work done. The inside is clean and has natural light and plenty of outlets which is good. The one art piece inside seems to catch my attention and I can stare at it for an extended period of time. Great customer service. No cofusion ordering 2 cups of carefully pronounced "specialty" coffee. They don't mind that I order my "caramel macherenas, or Maseratis", well these folks don't. If you go to Starbucks in Washington D.C. there is a "coffee nazi" who won't even take your order unless you pronounce it "properly" and that includes the "long a" sound at the end of venti. Yikes. Did I have fun with that guy. Nope these are good folks and very helpful, it is much appreciated especially when caffeine is at an all time low in ones body. Sometimes you need to have a cup of it under your belt just to be able to order another one. No one hassled me because I wanted to use the bathroom, the police were not called, no news reporters showed up. It was a great Starbucks day. Ahhhhh. read more

I wouldn't normally complain this way but after a long day, when you want to stop by the drive thru for a good cup of coffee on your way home, you get home to see your Tall was really a Short even though you paid otherwise. This was very disappointing. I was extremely excited when I heard this Starbucks location was moving and adding a drive thru but not when you are shorted to this extent. And sorry, you can't blame the foam dissipating in this case. Considering that you can make coffee at home, you pay a certain amount of money for a certain quality of product, service and standard. So although to some this might be an unnecessary rant, I believe it is because I'm almost positive that the Starbucks Franchisees would want their products held to a better standard than this. And that their customers leave feeling as though they received the best service, which unfortunately in this case I did not. With the addition of the drive thru it's possible that the staff, new and existing, just need some further training on that end. read more

I go to this Starbucks often and the service is hit and miss. I understand there are problems with supply chain and such, however, I ordered oatmeal and when I got to the window was told they have no oatmeal. I sat in a long line to place the order and then had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get to the window. I would have made a different selection had I been told at the order box-no oatmeal. That's happened before. I don't get upset but I do get upset when I wait in line for 20 minutes only to get to the window and be told they are out. I won't go to this Starbucks again and I do not recommend it. read more
