This is the closest Starbucks to my house, unfortunately for me it's the worst experience I've had at a Starbucks. I just moved to Nipomo, and in my first trip the person at the drive through window wouldn't use the scanner for the app on my phone. I had to use my bank card instead of the money I already had uploaded. No stars for me.... I figured maybe it was an off day. My next trip was good service but the flat white tasted off. Like burnt or older coffee. Today however basically let me know to never go here again. I walked in thinking it may be quicker than the drive through and ended up walking out without coffee. There was no line so I was happy at first. I stood in front of the register and watched multiple workers walk by without a hi, hello or even a be right with you. I waited for about 3 minutes before I turned and walked out. I'll just go to Dutch bros from now on. Service will be remembered always and this place must be fine with customers leaving and business going elsewhere. So sad, I enjoy a good Starbucks coffee but I will avoid this one. The workers need training on relating to people and customers. read more

Horrible..... Although I live in Nipomo, it's been a year since I last dropped by the nearby Starbuck's. I almost forgot why.....then I went and quickly remembered. I asked for a hot Chai with extra foam and made extra hot. How was it? More like lukewarm chocolate milk. Not what I expected or paid for. The place usually seems to be understaffed. Any connection? On the positive side, the workers I've met over the years all seemed to be reasonable people with a friendly attitude. Starbuck's has been in the news lately with its new CEO saying they're trying to bring back a more personal experience. That would be nice, but first they've got to improve the basic things which made them famous. read more

Unfortunately people don't know how to follow basic order instructions... my breakfast sandwhich was supposed to have no cheese because of my allergy, and I get my sandwich (which is literally labeled with "remove cheese slice") and it's COVERED in cheese and now I can't eat it or get a refund because I'm already home. This store has horrible customer service. I'm a senior citizen door dasher and went in this evening to pickup an order for delivery and asked if I could please have some water. I was actually told NO, you have to buy something!! All I wanted was a small cup of water. Every other restaurant in the area is more than happy to give me water to refill my 10 oz cup I carry with me. I was so appalled. Not to mention, it was quite warm outside. Very rude and very mean. Ok where do I begin. I Arrived at the drive thru we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get our order. Second of all we pull up to the pay window and the worker that is handling the cups and making the drinks was on her cell phone didn't wash her hands after touching it and put it back in her pocket while touching all the cups and making the drinks. Third I order a unsweetened green ice tea and of course they gave me a sweeted one and I would have drive away after I saw the worker touching the phone but because I waiting freaken 30 mins already I was so thirsty no choice!!! and oh by the I also order a soy hot chocolate and guess what I got? I am told the manager, Michelle, will not allow employees to shut down the drive up or the interior order taking even the staff is clearly overwhelmed and orders are backed up for 45 minutes. This store needs adult supervision. Nearly Every time we come in I have to clean a table. The music is way too loud. The employees yell back and forth to make themselves heard over the music, sometimes yelling at each other from one end of the store to the other. I love how they do the strawberry açaí lemonade drink . It's super delicious and it has a good balance of both flavors. It's not watered down like other places . Starbucks is Starbucks, am I right? This one is no different, but the staff here is always nice and most recently, very efficient. I frequent Starbucks for a tea or quick cup of Joe! This particular store is always clean and the people are always on their game. I tip my cap to this crew for keeping everything running efficient and doing it in a fun atmosphere. You can always count on this store to be clean (both the restrooms and dining area). Starbucks is always changing up the menu with seasonal tweaks to the drink offering and every once in a while they entice me with one of these drinks. Today it was the peppermint mocha. Contrary to the few, this Starbucks is as good as any and a lifesaver for me. I get what I want and never have a long wait. If you give good vibes you almost always get them back. For $5.00 they serve excellent ice. And sometimes they will add coffee to it. If you are really lucky they remembered to stock their store with straws that fit the size of drink you ordered. And as far as food goes... their partially thawed pastries are the best! read more

TERRIBLE customer service and they don't know their own recipes. Placed my typical order through the app - venti iced coffee with heavy cream (and iced coffee comes with classic syrup and is listed that way in the app). We picked up the order and realized once picking it up there was no sweetener. Took it back inside to see about fixing it and the barista didn't offer to remake (we didn't want that due to waste, but that should have been the response) and didn't offer to fix it but instead said that the cream was the sweetener. Another barista came over and acted like they were doing us a favor giving us two squirts in a kid cup. The whole exchange was just very rude and condescending. This is the second time I've been to this location while traveling and the second time they've completely messed up my order. Last time they were nice so I just let it go. This time they were incompetent and rude. Steer clear from this location. read more

Grew up in Nipomo, when Starbucks was added and I was older enough to understand coffee and drinks I loved the place. For the last few years is gone down hill. A few weeks ago we had looked up the hours so we weren't going in to order too late through the drive-thru. We waited at the screen for about 10 minutes and got no response. We drove passed the building and there was clearly workers inside, just ignoring us!! Tonight we go through the drive-thru hoping to just get our quick drink but again got no response until 5 minutes later saying they were closed....BEFORE THEIR CLOSING. They should update their hours if they aren't going to honor what the website says. Will not be returning back. read more

When I came in I was first in line so I assumed my order would come up sooner than if I had waited in the drive-through. Boy was I mistaken. Went inside to order since the drive thru window was very long. (Normal for Starbucks). I ordered my PSL and 2 breakfast wraps. I got my drink very quickly and it was very good but I never got my wraps. Several people that were behind me received their food. I asked one of the workers where my food was and they said they lost the ticket but would have it out shortly. 15 mins later I was still waiting. I went back up to the counter and just asked for a refund because I didn't have time to wait any longer. They were nice and apologized and gave me my money back but this was the first time I didn't get my order. I love Starbucks and will go back. I usually go thru the drive thru because it's faster and friendlier. This time I thought I'd walk in since I had more time. There were a few customers in front of me, I didn't worry. The orders seemed to be coming out pretty quick I ordered a triple chocolate frappuccinos with chocolate drizzle in the cup and whipped cream (don't judge) it was one of the better frapps I've had at a starbucks. The young lady that took my order was really friendly and had a nice smile. Nice customer service. The store seemed a little stuffy warm, after I got my drink I went to sit at a table it wasn't clean and the next one over needed cleaning too.So at this point I just up and left. Next time I'll just go thru the drive thru or go to the Starbucks in Vons. read more

This Starbucks.... I hate to be blunt, but I'm always disappointed. The turnover rate is high so I feel like the employees never have the proper training to make good drinks the correct way. The drinks are always bland and all taste the same half the time. I feel like they are skimping on ingredients??? They are always out of everything, I feel like whoever Is ordering their stock is doing a terrible job because they are always out of basic stuff. I dont know if they are just slow or if they are understaffed, but I stood there for five minutes, the only one in line and no one acknowledged me. I almost left. When I finally placed my order, and 2 minutes later a couple walked in (and at this point they were also the only ones in line) and waited for what seemed forever the same thing happened, no one greeted and eventually they walked out and they lost those customers. Someone who ordered after me got their drinks well before I did, and someone well before me who ordered drinks still hadnt been served yet. I will say that their drive through looked Kind of busy (about 4 or 5 cars) but that might have been backed up because of the slow service anyways. About a couple years ago I would have said the coffee was pretty good here, but something has severely changed and I won't even go to this particular Starbucks anymore. Came down to visit and first time at this location. Mobile ordered two drinks and only one was ready. Then took around 25 minutes for the to have the second one ready. Both drinks tasted watered down and just not tasting how it's supposed to. My peppermint mocha tasted like watered down toothpaste.
