I've been to numerous Starbucks across the country and this is by far and away the worst. They are chronically out of the basics for making drinks. Today, after driving past two posters/ads for their cold brew drinks, they were out of cold brew. This happens all the time, whether it's a coffee drink, ground coffee or food items. The holiday season is really nuts as they are constantly out of the most basic promotions. I'm going across the street to Vons Grocery, to get my Starbucks. Sad. read more

This is the worst Starbucks on the coast. If you like paying for coffee that then takes so long to make, you have to leave before it's ready so you're not late for work- this is the Starbucks for you. I order straight Americanos with nothing in them. I traditionally wait ten or fifteen minutes for these coffee orders with maybe one or two customers before me. Then, they're not even sorry about it. Sorry but from now on I will drive to Santa Maria or San Luis Obispo, I have been here 4 times since moving here and only once have I seen someone smile and be polite. I've never seen him since then, possibly fired for smiling. These people must have sucked on a lemon and taken SLOW drugs. Surprised to see this wasn't on Yelp... we've been coming through once every few months for years, and always had good experiences. Surprisingly, the manager always remembers us and strikes up a conversation with my lady. Nice place to relax and start the day, and the drinks have always been correctly made. Just watch out for Sunday around noon, the traffic jams from the swap meet are horrible, and Nipomo police never ticket anyone for blocking the intersections! read more

Worst Starbucks ever. So, we went in one day and were looking at the pastries, and they were all moldy and green! We told the cashier and she jadedly, and rudely responded, "We don't have time to change them out." What? You don't have ten seconds to dump out the pastries? Instead, in your mind, it is more beneficial to leave the moldy pastries? To have literally EVERY pastry moldy does not happen over night. A few days later my mom orders from the drive thru, takes a bite of her sandwich and it is completely frozen. She had to drive back and get one heated. They were equally rude and jaded. This isn't your typical Starbucks. They don't care to make things right, and they aren't happy. If I could give 0 stars I would. The employees are RUDE and no matter how slow or busy it is I always wait atleast 30 minutes in line. Ordered an iced americano with heavy cream and instead got a cold brew. They were rude about giving me what I ordered and paid for. It's always hit and miss sometimes my drink is made well I always ask for light cream and sometimes all I get is a cup full of heavy cream that doesn't even taste like coffee. Horrible service. Always seem to be out of stock. Just went through the drive-thru and placed a mobile order online (figured it would save time). Nope! Sat in line for 32mins just to get up to window to find out they had none of the food we ordered in stock (even though the app said it was available). Tried to get a refund for the food and "the machine was broken", apparently.. Asked for a gift card and the younger redhead girl wasn't able to figure out how to do it. By this point, we had sat in the drive-thru for nearly an hour. Who has that kind of time!? We decided to leave and NOT get refunded our money as we now had to rush to pick up our kids from school. They are always super slow. Even when there is no line in the drive thru. A lot of the time I see my drink made and they say to wait I patiently watch as it is right there and they just aren't aware of their surroundings. Also don't prioritize I can sit there in the drive thru for an iced coffee for 10 minutes. It's ice and you pour coffee over it. It used to never be this bad. Sucks it's gone down hill. Doesn't seem to have any structure and poor customer service most of the time. read more

They still can't spell my name with a damn, but the coffee is consistent, and I love the flexibility of customizing my own drink. That in itself is worth the trip, and Starbucks saved me a few times while traveling in Japan thanks to the free wifi. read more

Honestly, one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. Drinks were definitely cut short. Upon receiving them, I felt my grande drinks significantly lighter than what they usually are. I got a parking spot right out front, I like that (though it's never a deterrent if I have to park further away; if I want coffee, I'll walk for it). I walked in and before I gave my order, the barista offered me a free yogurt from the cold case. I don't know why they were getting rid of them, but it was a nice touch. The teen employee proceeded to pick something off of her mouth, inspect it under her finger nails, FLICK it, and then swipe the gift card. This place is a mess. They are always out of things, they constantly get the order wrong if you order the similar drinks with different names, ( i.e. star drink or starfruit refresher, dragon drink ,dragonflies drink). Although they were having a bad day with an expresso machine down and working with only 1 they kept messing up everyone's order. I have never seen such a mess lol it was quite funny but I was in a good mood and in no hurry so although they forgot 2 of our of 6 of my orders and messed up on another 2, they were extremely kind and willing to make sure we were happy as well as the other customers. Many customers were frustrated but I knew if I complained in another manner other then understanding their situation the employees would have a crummy day. I've been here multiple times and always leave feeling very frustrated. The customer service is a lot to be desired. Total lack of friendliness and communication and it takes forever to get your order. Even when I've done a mobile order and given the recommended amount of time, I still wait at least 10-15 mins longer. I've been coming here for the past two years or so. It's convenient since I live in Nipomo. I feel like every time I do a mobile order, I end up waiting just as long as I would had I ordered in person. They also tend to always be out of the food item I ordered but don't update the app to show they are out. The drive through is hit or miss. Longest I have ever waited in a drive-thru in my entire life. I used to work at Starbucks and I know how long it takes to make drinks/heat up food etc. been in line 20 mins and only two cars have gotten their order. Horrible horrible speed. Come on workers. The only time I get 4 or 5 star service is when I use the drive through, or by ONLY two Lobby employees: the Manager, or the assistant Manager (always 5 star from these two delightful women). Today, we decide to get a drink inside. There is one person ahead of me, who turns out to be a friend of both cashiers. They're chatting away, while I wait to order. The guy "Steve" keeps making eye contact with me and IGNORING me! Finally "Steve" takes my order, flat affect, no smile, thank you - this guy has the personality of a brick! FAIL! read more

They don't listen to you or even acknowledge you at the drive thru window until after the third time you flag them down and yell at them. So if you have a reward or any special requests make sure you get their attention first. I guess at least the food is good...but customer service is lacking. read more
