Very minor gripe- I would have liked to have been offered a refill on my coffee. The location is a bit out of the way, and the place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is great, filled with local art work and beautiful wooden tables with stones embedded in them. There's also live music over the lunch hour most days which is a nice treat. I might suggest they get a new high chair, as the one available didn't have a harness to secure my squirmy little one... There was a tempting selection of baked goods on offer as well, and they also had a good selection of single portion frozen meals you could take home with you. Definitely one of my favourite lunch spots when visiting the area!

Charming cozy ambiance fills this restaurant. They don't have no fancy decor or expensive table cloths but they do have delicious tasting food. Their menus, written on the walls. They also offer take out meals that are either gluten free or keto. I've had the opportunity to try their breakfast sandwich and that was very good, the bread I believe was gluten free, and it was filled with eggs, bacon, and mayo. Also, their keto Pumpkin latte was also very good. The place takes part in the holidays and lining the window ledge are the different designed ginger bread houses. Not sure who designed them. Overall, I was quite happy with all the food and the drinks and the experience I had here. I'll be back in January in Kentville and I will be back here soon as I can.

The ambiance is very comfortable, you can seat yourself at any open space you'd like. Their food is good, their burgers are really good, I quite enjoy their fried chicken sandwich. Their fish and chips are also really good, with big pieces of fish and crispy fries. The nachos are really good, made the mistake of ordering the "regular" size and it was too big for just 2 of us, but it was for sure tasty with fresh ingredients. We also like their deep fried pepperoni with the mustard dipping sauce it comes with. Another part I really enjoy with this place is their homebrewed beers. I personally really enjoy the blueberry beer they have (I believe during the summertime) and the raven ale. You can get a growler of their beers to take home and enjoy and it is very affordable, I believe $15 for a growler of the raven ale. Parking is street parking, but if the streets are full, which it rarely is, there is the town parking lot not too far from this place. Oh, and I should add, this place also has a pretty decent arcade/games room upstairs and a banquet hall to be rent or host events like a comedy show. Service is great, the servers are very pleasant and the food comes out quick and hot.

It's your standard Eggs Benny sandwiched between two thick slices of homemade bread (your choice of white, whole wheat or multigrain - no less!) and a bowl of some of the tastiest Hollandaise I've found in the past few months. All tucked away in an unassuming, down-home diner in Port Williams - a quick drive from downtown Wolfville! More people need to know about this! Four tables covered in business cards of diners-gone-by are set up in a space about the size of a loading elevator surrounded by antiques and collectibles of all kinds including a very important sign: 'Patience required as good food takes time to prepare.' Why so important? Well, there's only one person cooking back there. ONE. If she doesn't make it, you're not eating it. It makes for consistently hearty and satisfying meals, but it does increase your wait time. Portions are HUGE (actually, the burgers border on obscene...), everything is made fresh on site, and the prices are more than affordable considering what you get! And on that note, hit up an ATM at the corner store next door since it's all cash only!

Even when it was only half full we overhead the waitress welcoming new customers with "We will get to you as soon as we can". The waits weren't long, and the food was great! I rediscovered the origins of hash browns in their culturally authentic Acadian grated potato pancakes - the size of a Frisbee. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Lots of potato flavour! The middle sized breakfast was huge - eggs, bacon, home fries and great homemade bread. Annnd - one can substitute the potato pancakes for home fries!!!! Unfortunately it can't get a 5 star because they were seen reusing the homemade jam from the individual servings - scrape the top, smooth it out and add more to the top. As much as I encourage good economics of not throwing out tons of jam - this isn't a great practise:-( So, I leave it to your judgement - food great, space small, cash only and great prices. I hope they survive and thrive in Port Williams.

I got three slim Julien slices of carrot. Nothing to really complain about, also nothing to write home about either. Getting to the sandwich, I had one bite and immediately spit it into a napkin. I opened it and it was filled with green peppers. The waitress came by and I asked why the green peppers, the menu states "sweet bell peppers". I asked for red or green peppers and she took it away to fix the sandwich. They didn't give me a new sandwich, they picked off the green peppers and replaced them with red peppers. It was not great as it was no longer hot, but edible. I had some difficulty eating as I couldn't get the image of someone's fingers picking out the green peppers. Here is the kicker, while I was waiting for the disassembly and reassembly of my sandwich the manager came by with a menu. She pointed out the sandwich comes with bell peppers and green peppers are bell peppers. Although that is on it's face true. The menu states "sweet bell peppers ". This clearly refers to ripe bell peppers as red, orange and yellow that are ripe and sweet. Contrasting this is the green bell peppers as that is bitter or sharp it it's flavour and liked by those that prefer this bitterness. The manager was simply demonstrating she didn't know or care enough to know the difference between the menu and the substitution of green peppers. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
