For starters, my drink was made to perfection! There were two baristas on duty and our order alone contained four drinks, two waters, and a side of half & half -- all made by one of the baristas. Our barista worked efficiently and didn't even look one bit flustered as she made drink after drink (of ours and others) and was friendly and helpful. The store itself was just fine- nothing ultra remarkable except the fact that it is without a drive-thru so make sure you know that before you visit. We stopped here for coffee, to use the restroom, and fill up on gas since it was right near a Kroger gas station while we were on a car trip. This Starbucks sits right next to the Kroger in the large shopping plaza at the corner of Highway 70 and Old Hickory. For starters, it is a Pick-up/Dine-In location only, no drive thru here! Given that there is no drive thru and the fact that his intersection is one of the busiest in the area, this location is a bit cumbersome to get to and from at busy times, and like all other Starbucks they can get quite busy! Combine all of that with a smaller footprint and you have another reason to get the strongest coffee they offer. Given all of these things, I always order ahead via the app and have never experienced an issue or delay with my order. On occasion they have been out of the items I have wanted, and that is just because I am basic and of course like the most popular items which currently are the Iced Oatmilk Shaken Espresso's. They are good at keeping the app updated, so this saves me time! Pickup has always been smooth and timely. I usually have to wait a few moments, but it is never too far beyond the estimated ready time quoted in the app. The staff has a good system and are loud when they call names, so just hang out and listen up. Since I usually do order/pick up I do not have a lot of interaction with the staff, but they are always hustling and seem friendly to all the folks they are assisting. First, I want to point out that when I moved to the area nearly 4 years ago, I became a regular at this location since it was literally down the road. The AM & PM crews - AT THAT TIME - were amazing! Always professional, kind, and they treated EVERYONE with respect (as we did them). In the past year or so, the AM crew has changed, and for the worse! For those of us who've been going there several days/week for years, we're treated like we're a nuisance. The girls that work there flirt with all the make customers, and they always seem to get their drink orders first (even though many of us are left waiting upwards of 10+ minutes)! They're rude, show favoritism to a select number of customers, and are unprofessional, unfriendly, and just plain awful. For the past 3 weeks (this round of frustrating service), they've: - deleted an online order I placed, so I had to re-order at the store and wait even longer (no apologies, just told me "well, you know we're really busy"). - made my "regular" drink wrong 5x - I've ordered the same drink for the past 3 years without variation. They're either being careless or doing it on purpose...or both. - every online order I place - that actually gets made - is never ready within the timeframe specified. Yesterday I had to wait an extra 10 minutes, today it was nearly 20 (they said they couldn't find my drink - again! - and I asked if they could make it because I had to go back to work. I was never apologized to, they acted as if they were put out and that I inconvenienced them! And, on top of that, they didn't even make my beverage at that time - they made 5 - 6 other before getting to mine. For those who've given this place a good review, I hope your positive experiences continue. Fingers crossed they don't started treating you like dirt like they've done to quite a few others. I can honestly say I've never been treated so rudely and horribly by any other Starbucks I've been to across the country. And, we have several other competitor options in the area - I want to spend my money at an establishment that treats their customers with respect, and appreciates a customer's loyalty. Hard to recommend Starbucks now since they plan to abandon in-house dining and go strictly takeout. So, any ambiance will be destroyed. In addition, I can't think of a time during the last 6 or 7 visits there that we weren't told they were out of food we ordered, or did not have dark roast, for example. There were only two people in front of me in line, yet somebow I waited 30 minutes for a medicine ball tea. I watched the girl behind the counter plod along and leisurely make drinks. She was as slow and docile as a hindu calf, and it was kind of mesmerizing seeing how long just pouring a pre-made cold brew into a glass could take her. Eventually I had to speak up and ask for my food, because it was sitting on the counter getting cold while our peaceful friend was organizing the cups by size. She must have noticed something wasn't quite up to par because she said very condescendingly to us plebeians that they were understaffed, sorry about the wait, we're all trying our best. We can't possibly know the stress the service industry is going through was the undertone there as she lifted her eyebrow at me. I'm a former kitchen manager though - that line doesn't work when I can clearly watch you perform. Maybe try some espresso before your next shift, I hear it's supposed to give you energy. read more

Came in for an Oatmilk Latte. No Oatmilk. Ordered a bacon Gouda egg sandwich. Got a sausage & egg biscuit. However, there were only two ladies working this counter. The Oatmilk is the fault of management, not these ladies. The masks make getting orders correct, so it's not the end of the world. These ladies deserve a raise. This is Dec 30th at 2:45pm. This location is consistently on top of it. There is rarely a long line, the baristas are friendly and efficient, and they've always gotten my order right. If you're a Starbucks Iced Chai fan this is not the place to go. For whatever reason they have taken it upon themselves to make the Iced Chai different than any other Starbucks nationwide...well I take that back, there is one other nearby Starbucks location (I forget which) that makes it the same way. And because 2 Starbucks so close in proximity make the Iced Chai wrong I can only assume it's a management decision, that someone who has management affiliations with both locations has told the baristas to make the iced drinks this horrible undrinkable way. I have been drinking Starbucks Iced Chais for over 2 years. I drink 1 to 2 a day. I have had them in 10 different states and within those 10 states I've had the Iced Chais at more than several to numerous locations. They always taste the same...always. The Hot Chai and Iced Chai are different not only in the obvious but in the concentration. The Iced Chai is not watery and is much thicker. What this Starbucks location serves tastes like they just take the Hot Chai and add ice cubes to it and milk. Maybe this is a money saving tactic or they simply don't know better. Slow, rude, and unprofessional. I have never been to a Starbucks like this, and I have been to them all over the world. I went to this one because the one further south messed up my order three days in a row...but this one was stunningly worse. I watched the guy make a latte wrong and when I pointed it out he refused to fix it...gave me a threatening look. I can't even imagine what sort of bugs that live in his dreadlocks had fallen into my drink. The poor wimpy manager was so threatened by the barista that he looked like he wanted help before he got beat up by his employee. There must be something wrong with their regional management...given they are always out of things, have pervasive bad attitudes, and make so many mistakes at all the Nashville area Starbucks. The other day I was in a hurry to get to the airport and when I grabbed my coffee, I accidentally left my wallet on the table with all my cruise money in it ($400 cash). When I realized, about half an hour later, I called in a panic and to my surprise they said someone turned it in. When I got there to retrieve it, all my money and credit cards were still in tact. For me there are more cons than pros to this Starbucks. I have visited this location about five times. Two of those times I have had borderline rude customer service - which I think is rare for Starbucks. I have usually had to wait in a long line. There are a lot of tables in the place, which is good if you need a table, but if you're waiting for your order you have to cram in around the tables - it's just awkward. Don't even get me started on the parking - it's in a strip mall so you have to compete for parking with Krogers customers. That all said - the drinks I've ordered have all been tasty. It's a Starbucks - the drinks are standard, the barristas are friendly. The line is often crazy long. But there are usually seats to be found (unless it's a weekend morning, then I'd go to the other Starbucks on Hwy 100). Plenty of outlets for plugging in laptops and other devices. There's always parking somewhere in the lot, but you might not be anywhere near Starbucks. The outside tables are nice, but you're basically sitting in the Kroger parking lot, which, again, is less than ideal. read more

The baristas are warm and friendly, and always aim to please their customers (especially their regulars, who they get to know very quickly). Most of the baristas know me by name and drink, and also know when I want my drink hot verus when I want my drink cold. I always have to order my drink extra hot here. When I do ask for that, my drink is as hot as it is normally at other Starbucks. They also feel the need to correct you on the sizes you order. I want a small. Other places do that as well, but when they do it at this one, its almost as if they are saying it like they are better than you. I order a mocha with soy milk because I am allergic to milk. At this location only, I can hardly taste anything but soy milk.
