Now, I've driven past this location dozens of times. Mostly whilst getting my car washed across the street. And up until recently, I haven't felt inclined to go here. It's not that I've grown tired of Starbucks or anything like that; to the contrary. Though I imagine those who still follow me along my various Yelp misadventures have noticed a steep decline in Starbucks check-ins. Rest assured, true believers - my love for Starbucks knows no bounds. However, my appreciation for financial stability (not to mention the convenience of making coffee at home) grow far more intensely by the day. That all being said, this Starbucks is much like the others. Clean interior, mobile ordering still on point, friendly staff, and a readily accessible pick-up area at the end of the ordering lane. If only I could understand this franchise's obsession with cramp, tiny parking lots and bottle-necked drive thru lanes. See, this is the reason I insist on physically walking into a Starbucks to pick up my coffee. I'm afraid I'd end up raging out if I were to subject myself to the "joys" of navigating through a drive thru Austin Powers style (IYKYK). The one thing holding me back from giving this place the full 5 star treatment is how annoying it is to go into and out of their respective parking lot. To understand the complexities of this, you have to consider how the entrance/exit lanes sit directly in front of a 4-way traffic light intersection. Of which, btw, there are NO protected left turns on either side of Amherst street. Couple that with the amount of inept drivers who, for SOME reason, refuse to use their turn signals if and whenever they decide to turn left and....you see why I almost never go here. All in all, the coffee is what you'd expect from a typical Starbucks. Just don't go here during the super busy hours. I've seen the drive thru line wrap around the building before. Like, to the point where it nearly blocks the entrance. All things considered, I'm gonna give Starbucks on Amherst 4 tall White Mochas with an extra shot out of 5. read more

I visited this location on my birthday. Not only did the drive thru attendee have a horrible tone, but she rolled her eyes at me and my sister when we indicated that it was my birthday. We were inquiring on how to apply the birthday discount so I could receive my free drink when she scoffed and said she didn't know how to help us. Let's make sure when we train our new employees, that part of protocol is to be pleasant, to have to desire to assist customers, and above all be decent and wish me a happy birthday. Ben is quick with a smile and always happy to go the extra mile. He also has a presence about him that radiates joy. My drink was fine, but tasted watered down. The food was better than the drink. While I was ordering the girl behind the register seemed very annoyed that she had to do her job. She rolled her eyes and made weird faces at me once I stated my order, and I also had to repeat myself several times, despite standing right in front of her. I stop by the Starbucks with Drive-Thru on Amherst St quite a bit, which is located next door to the Verizon Wireless store. The layout of this store is a long, not so wide space, which has entrances in the front and back of the store and parking in the front and back sides of the building. The drive thru lane curves along the right side of the building. Inside, there is a small seating area in the front section of the store. The service at this busy Starbucks has been pretty good and my coffee is brewed just right each time. I usually get a Dark Roast or a Hot Tea with an Almond Croissant warmed. Sometimes, I'll even grab a Protein Box for lunch too! During the early COVID 19 pandemic (Spring 2020), this Starbucks was one of the few stores in NH that remained open with Drive-Thru only service and drastically reduced hours. Since most of the other Starbucks in the area were already temporarily closed including the busy location in my town (reopens D-T May 7), the queue for the Drive-Thru was backed up through the front parking lot onto Amherst Street westbound (about 20 cars including Mass. plates), up to 25-35 minutes from back of line to the window. All Starbucks partners were also wearing masks. The other location on Coliseum Ave also has Mobile order pickup outside at the front door, which is quicker than waiting in Drive-Thru. When this crisis is over, the reopening of this location and other locations would be a huge relief to many people and I can get my fix again. read more

Hey, didya know there's a new Starbucks in Nashua on Amherst Street? Didya know that it's now open (as of Jan. 25)? It is. First off, it's a new location, so there's going to be a little adjustment -- it seems like everyone there knows what they're supposed to do, but not 100% sure of how to do it. I'll give them a big pass on that, because it's new. This location does have a drive-through, although it seems really shoehorned into the property. That having been said, it also has a stoplight, so if you need to make a left turn onto 101A going east, you're all set. (Still -- who's the ad wizard who left the gigantic utility pole in the middle of the entrance? I'm calling it right now - some truck hits a patch of ice, skids, plows into the unprotected side of the pole, snaps it, drops it onto Amherst St., causing a traffic jam and power outage. When this happens, I will drive to the location and laugh a cruel, derisive laughter, while drinking my latte...) PS- There's some unintentional comic value in the fact that on Starbucks' website lists the store name as "605 Amherst Street" and the address of the location as 611 Amherst Street. It's Starbucks, with the same (oh so slightly overpriced) drinks and food available at every other location, so I'm not going to waste time commenting on that. However, the service at this location leaves a lot to be desired. I must have had the same staff that waited on Ashley C. because my recent experience was much like what her review describes. I got there, and while there were several baristas behind the counter, it took a rather long time for anyone to notice me. When one did, she rather curtly said by way of greeting, "Do you know what you want?" Call me old-fashioned, but way back when I had a retail job, I usually greeted people with at least a "Hello" and usually a "How are you today?" I placed my order and then handed her a gift card. She then said, "You owe me 65 cents." It probably wouldn't have bothered me if she had been friendlier from the get-go, but I found it really rude that she would state that I owed her. I used to go to the Bedford location daily and always had fabulous service. Changed job locations and now go this the one on Amherst street a few days a week. This store is the complete opposite in every way. Every employee there seems unprofessional. Multiple times I have gone in while there was no one else in the store, and it took a few minutes of multiple employees seeing me before anyone comes over because they are standing around goofing off. I always feel like I'm interrupting them or inconveniencing them in some way. I've tried to stick to mobile orders, ordering at least 15 minutes before I know I'm going to get there. The past three times I've gone they have given me a $4 off coupon for my next purchase because my order was either not ready still, incorrect, or they were out of product. read more

I don't often venture to larger coffee chains, only because I've always drank local coffee. But...my friend had a giftcard here so I didn't really have a choice when she wanted to go out. Interesting layout. Most Starbucks seem the same to me... My friend got a cheese and cracker "plate" while I scanned over made up "frappuccinos." She ordered a small chai, paid, and waited for a her drink. I stood at the counter while there were FOUR people behind the counter, including the one who took her order, and for about two minutes with my Contigo mug open I waited looking at them. They didn't even look at me, even though they were standing forward, and didn't ask me to take my order. When I told the person who took my order I wanted an iced double Americano, I had to repeat my order multiple times...I'm guessing she didn't know what it was. I suppose I was always under the impression that the employees at Starbucks knew their drinks, and were courteous- they didn't even greet us when we walked up to the counter. I find most baristas in any coffee shop are nice....oh well. Mayhaps I'm being a bit snobbish? Sitting in Starbucks waiting for my car which is getting new tires. After 45 minutes my hot coffee was cool. I went up to counter and asked if they could nuke it to warm it. I avoid this location like the plague usually, but I went to the exit 6 store and they didn't put soy in my drink (I'm lactose intolerant). I hadn't taken a sip of it until I got off on exit 8, and realized it wasn't soy. So, I went to the Amherst Street store to see if they could remake it for me, and I was extremely apologetic, because of the fact that if I wasn't in a rush, I would have gone back to the original store. I got so much attitude from the guy who was working, that I almost just said forget it, and I should have, because even though I could taste that it was soy, it was still wrong, like it usually is at any of the North nashua stores. I'm officially done with these stores... my advice? Stick to South nashua or Chelmsford. read more

I can't believe how many negative reviews this location has gotten, I've been here multiple times, both drive-through & walk-in, & always had great customer service. I'm a simple, country gal, I take my coffee black & dark roast, & it's always perfect here, like I brew it at home, & the staff is always super-friendly & goes out of their way to chit-chat if there's not a line - that kind of service is rare for a chain on 101A! Most places treat you like cattle being led to the slaughter. For someone who hates this area because of the consistently abysmal customer service at 95% of the chain stores along 101A, this Starbucks is a breath of fresh air. read more

What's up with Starbucks exit 6 Nashua? They look at you like you're a burden just for showing up. Service really slow and servers all have attitude. I was first and only in line, order two food items and a cold drink. At first, they took my order wrong. In the meantime 4-5 people showed up to order after me. Got the cold drink but had to wait much longer for hot food. They served hot food to all those people who ordered after me, and i was still waiting. When i asked about it, she told me it takes 1-1/2 min to cook. Im thinking "wow, really? I've been waiting for at least 7min and everyone else has been served before me." And they served them to me one at a time with wide gap of time so the first hot food item was cold. There were 5-6 servers behind the counter and same number of customers. One server at drive-up window was chowing down food with a spoon while another one was looking at her phone. Thumbs down today. read more
