If you eat at the cafe you receive a 10% discount on purchase over $35. The woman at the cash was incredibly nice, and the whole store stocks lots of wonderful little items for your kitchen. The food at the Cafe was really good. I expected the food to be riding on the popularity of its namesake, but it was not only delicious but beautiful to look at. I had the poached eggs (with extra egg!) and spinach. The green tea was also surprisingly fresh. I would definitely come back here for brunch.

They also sell very good sandwiches. I especially like the gravlax (their house smoked salmon is seasoned and excellent) and they make a very good jambon-beurre (not traditional as it has pickles and cheese, but I prefer it that way!). Removing a star because their coffees are pricey, nothing special and when "to go", served in super plain blah paper cups. If I'm paying like $7-8 for a coffee, I expect a fancy, branded, to-go cup. Friendly service!

Their sandwiches aren't bad either, but not my favorite. Tuna has olives in it (WTF) and I just wish they had a plain turkey and cheese option... but whatever. Good spot for a coffee date, or even to be on your own - not awkward at all, lots of people working on laptops etc. Charming staff ;) Terrible parking situation... if you are from this neighborhood, you know.
