This was a great find! I don't live here, was searching for a cute coffee shop, & found just that!…read more Upon entering, I noticed how cute the shop itself was and how FULL it was! There was plenty of seating and space for everyone. people were just talking and enjoying their morning. I got an iced mocha and it was delicious! Very rich and the whip cream on top was wonderful. I also got a sausage, egg, and cheese on a biscuit and it was 10/10. The biscuit was light and fluffy, I was worried about the look of the egg, but it was well seasoned and delicious! The cheese, oh my, had an epic cheese pull and it was delicious! The staff was INDREDIBLY friendly as well! 10/10 all around!

I arrived during their quieter time, just after 12:30pm, so there's were no lines and I had the opportunity to talk to one of the baristas about latte options. I decided on a peppermint white mocha latte and got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk for my coworker. I also picked up a raspberry muffin, which was staring me in the face, lol! The shop is pretty spacious, with lots of seating (sofas and comfy chairs, too), and I could see why people would want to hang out while enjoying their purchases. The staff was super friendly. We both enjoyed our drinks and the muffin was tasty, too (a bit better after heating it up a bit). I'm so glad I found such a cute coffee shop near work!

During the coronavirus they are doing curbside and drive thru, but there are a few tables outside…read more I was dismayed that the menu at the drive thru window didn't list the donuts! The kid on the speaker made some weird excuse saying that he'd have to change it every day. Say what? Yes, the breakfast sandwiches and bagels are listed, but most people come for the donuts! How hard would it be to list the regular, most popular flavors, and then post the special donuts seasonally. There was room! It was weird that when I asked what donuts they had, he began reading them off one by one, it took awhile. Awkward. I was like, well posting a list outside has got to take less time than that! I got a couple donuts and an iced tea even though I was put off. Dunkin', ya gotta hole in your menu!!

I walked up to all the interior lights out and no one to be seen inside, so I thought they may have been closed. However, the open sign was on and flashing. So I checked the schedule, and even though it was 622 p.m. on a wednesday, it said they were open until 7:00 p.m. . Strange! I pulled on the door and it was open. But again, no one to be seen. So I opened the door and walked in worried and alarm was going to go off or something, to see the two employees were sitting in the floor behind the counter chatting. It almost looks like they were hiding so we would think they were closed. Once I said hello, they popped up and said hello and we're friendly enough. When I commented that I thought they might have been closed because all the lights were out, they said yeah, we're closing soon. I figured I'd order a donut while I was there. But the shelves were almost empty! I picked one of the donuts that was left and headed out. IMHO, definitely not worth going back and needs better management/ownership, but this is my first time back in a while, let me know what you think!

as a longtime resident of Ashland, who really wants to see a successful business in the center of…read moremy town it really pains me to have to give this review. I've eaten here twice now the first time I said, I would never go back, but I wanted to give it a second chance. This place basically does breakfast and if you only do one thing, you should be great and let's face it. Breakfast is one of the easiest things to make and do well but this place misses the mark on every level. First impressions walking in the door, the place is freezing cold even the waitresses all have goosebumps and who wants to sit in a refrigerator and be uncomfortable while you're eating? We walked in the door to a nearly empty restaurant with these big, beautiful sunny windows, but they sat in a dark corner while the booths in the windows were all empty. Business 101 people attract people put them in the windows so that they can have use and people can see that the business has customers!!!! maybe they didn't wanna sit us next to the windows because they were covered with greasy fingerprints that looked like they had been there since the last weekend and hadn't been cleaned. The glass was gross. The menu has all the standard fair that you would expect from a regular breakfast restaurant.... in Kansas. all very American. Nothing stands out as being gourmet or unique in a market where there's a lot of money and a lot of transplants who are used to better stuff than ordinary Americana breakfast food. The prices are a little high, but it's 2026. Everything's high. We order our food. I got scrambled eggs and they were hard as rubber because they were overcooked.! How do you own a breakfast restaurant and you can't cook scrambled eggs? I had the eggs returned and they did a decent enough job on the next batch but generally speaking the food was just barely OK. I got orange juice and it came in a giant glass and it was clearly from concentrate. Maybe that works in Iowa but at a specialty restaurant in a fashionable town I want fresh squeeze orange juice. I don't need 10 gallons of it. I would rather have a little juice glass full of fresh orange juice than a gallon of concentrated crap. I just don't think these people understand their clientele and they don't do anything special like blueberries for your pancakes.... There's so many things you can do with breakfast and they just did the bare minimum. It's so disappointing to have the restaurant with the absolute best geography in our community barely trying to make decent food or make customers comfortable in a clean environment. I was charitable when I gave them two stars because I actually felt bad. I want them to succeed, but they really need to rethink what they're doing and try a lot harder.

Easy handicap access and restrooms which help me enjoy the meal so much more. Waitstaff was great and food was delicious. My husband went for a traditional breakfast while I opted for a chicken fajita in spinach wrap with chips. I really loved how the wrap was spiced! I'm sure we will be visiting Cafe 54 regularly once we move.
