This my favorite Starbucks in East TN. We are in the area 3 or 4 times a year and always come here for Coffee and fellowship. The weather make for great outside visits with reflection times having a great beverage and some self time. We came this week to find that the store just finished a remodel with a upscale feel. The floors to the tables outside were so inviting, staying with the standard of quality that Starbucks personifies. The best part of this Starbucks is the friendly and engaging staff that goes out of their way to engage in a familiar conversation making you feel like you belong, all along giving you a quick service. read more

This is one busy starbucks! I have never had to wait very long in the drive thru even with the line down the side of the building. They are very efficient. During busy times-ordering for inside pick up is convenient. Super cozy inside too- perfect for a morning meet up. read more

last time I went through this starbucks drive through I ordered a breakfast sandwich and after driving off realized it was frozen solid after I asked them to warm it. Today I go through and ordered a nitro cold brew with foam and they gave me the drink half full and mostly foam but even the foam wasnt at the top of the cup. I also asked the lady on the speaker how many calories were in the nitro cold brew drinks and she told me that I would have to look that up for myself. I use the app for Starbucks in Maryville frequently and order for pick up. . I've been going to Starbucks for years. I stopped this morning on the way to work because I needed to use the bathroom. The store was prac empty at a little before 7 a.m. and both bathrooms were locked. There were signs that said "for customer use only". I understand this for people that don't frequent the store, but considering I have brought them so much business, I was pretty upset about it. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, I saw one of the. employees laughing then she stopped when she realized I saw her. I find this very disappointing. I expect this from a floundering gas station, but not a Starbucks that has regular customers. read more

I tried to use the drive thru this morning as I had ordered through the app and there were only 3 cars in front of me. SLOW! SO...SLOW...SO INFURIATINGLY SLOW! I sat there for 15 minutes! I wanted to drive away, but there were curbs on both sides, so I was trapped. I legitimately watched 3 different cars park, go inside, and drive away with drinks AND food WHILE I SAT COMPLETELY STILL! I watched the clock tick and with every minute stuck in the inescapable drive thru, I wondered if I would make it to work on time. Listen, if you have any sort of schedule, avoid this drive thru! Go to Chick-fil-A and get 50 coffees and an entire freaking nugget tray in the time it would take this drive thru to serve one single order! I normally don't care about small stuff like this, but it made me late for work AND have a panic attack AND get a warning for speeding. This coffee tastes like sadness! read more

This starbucks has come a long way! The atmosphere and staff are phenomenal. The drinks are made just right every time I have ordered from them. Hot but not boiling. Cold but not freezing. You get the point! The decorations and renovations have made this location a stand out with the nearby stores and make it welcoming and inviting for travelers galore. You are better off going inside to order as the line is never that long but the drive thru is always slammed! To locals this is a much heavier drive thru spot because it is in the center of Maryville with a lot of traffic from all over stopping by. The bathrooms were clean every time I have had to use them as well as the aesthetics of the parking lot. This makes a huge 1st impression for some people. read more

The slowest, slowest, slooooowest drive-thu I've ever been to. Consistently. Always. Slower than any coffee shop anywhere. And you'd think ordering through mobile and picking up inside would be faster, but no (if you walk inside to pickup, they always forget your food). Prepare for a 20+ minute wait every.single.time. the drinks are good... but I've stopped going here because the service is so terrible. I'd rather face the terror of Alcoa Hwy traffic for the Alcoa Starbucks. Even more surprising was the inch long piece of wood lodged in my throat whilst attempting to cough it up and not wreck. It's just like a regular Starbucks, only 10 times slower service. I wouldn't suggest using the drive thru unless it is almost empty unless you have brought food and water with you. Once you're commit to the drive thru you're stuck due to the high curbs. It is not uncommon to be in the drive thru for 25 minutes. I go to Starbucks just about every day at several different locations all over the country and have never seen this Maryville location matched in terms of their slowness. I've literally driven in the parking lot, seen the line and opted to drive all the way to the airport location off of Alcoa highway ordered, and then seen the same cars that were there when I left in the Maryville drive thru as I passed it on my way back home. I guess what I'm saying is, they're slow. read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for a while now. Every time I go I don't have any issues, but this morning was a mess. I know they just came out with the holiday coffees and they were giving away the free plastic cups. I figured it would be busy. The drive thru was around the building. There was parking spaces open so I went in and the lobby was packed. I placed my order and was waiting for my coffee. I heard people saying they have been waiting 30 minutes for a coffee.. I was fine with that. I could clearly see they were busy and all the workers were working very hard. There was this lady that was way before me and she got her coffee. She went up to the counter to ask a worker a question. She was very calm and polite. The worker exploded on her. She was yelling at this customer in front of the whole store. She was being completely rude to this customer. I understand the worker was stressed but to talk to a person like that was so uncalled for. I can't believe she spoke to the customer like that. Unfortunately, I didn't read the other reviews and opted for the drive thru. 35 minutes later, I received a peppermint mocha and a caramel macchiato that tasted like watered down coffee without any flavor. I have lived in a number of different cities/towns and I've always been a regular Starbucks customer. I've lived in Maryville for about 3 years and this is the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. Very disappointing when you have to sit in the drive thru for 20-30 minutes just to get a coffee. It is even more disappointing when you wait that long for your drink only to realize it is the wrong drink or it was made incorrectly. Completely unacceptable when you're paying $4-$7 for a coffee/latte. Corporate needs to come out and support this location because they need help! ***Follow up: After about a week I was still stewing over how poorly I was treated here. The details are in my previous review, but to sum up I was told to move back to Minnesota after (unsuccessfully) trying to buy a box of coffee in the drive thru and generally having a terrible time of it. I went in to speak to a manager, and although the young lady I talked to didn't tell me to leave the state, she was still surprisingly short with me. Rather than treat this as a customer service issue, she became argumentative and then told me if I wasn't there to buy something I needed to leave. I don't know why I expected any better. I guess I'm just used to people in service jobs providing service. The people at this store clearly hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. Don't visit this Starbuck's if you can at all avoid it. The staff are simply awful. No cup of coffee is good enough to be worth it, especially when we have Vienna in town, or Dunkin' Donuts down the road. Don't let these rude people ruin your day. read more
