Love that most everything is made in house, from high quality ingredients.

A gem in Maryville, to be sure. All their ingredients are of the highest quality from their syrup sweetners to the mocha syrup to the matcha and food ingredients. Their matcha lattand Mexican mocha are my favorites. The guys that work here are super friendly and helpful and they are very efficient. The decor is welcoming and makes you feel like you stepped back in time to your grandma's house. They don't have vegan options for food, and certainly nothing to eat that is also gluten free for me, but on our recent visit we asked if we could bring our outside vegan food in to eat with the drinks we purchased. They didn't mind a bit. Maybe someday soon we'll see some vegan item(s) pop up on their menu and I'll also be able to make them gluten free. Always available to consult on that. lol

What a cozy, friendly coffee shop and more. We came for lunch and had the curried chicken salad on greens. It was a generous scoop and so good. Served with a pickle and little cup of almonds. We couldn't resist the sweets: a chewy peanut butter cookie and a Rice Krispie treat. The oat milk latte was the perfect way to end a great meal. Alec took good care of us.

When you come in you immediately look for 3 brothers with long beards, but instead you find one brother whose last name is Beard, but also has a long beard and a warming smile. The warming coffee shop is run by a Christian family that want you to feel as you are part of their family. The eclectic furniture and sitting spaces draw you in for a long stay. Their coffee menu is so creative that it takes a minute to really know what you want and then if you stay longer than one cup, you have to try something new. I never liked cold brew nitro, got a sample and now I am hooked. I finish off the seasonal apple cider nitro, which will be replaced with blueberry basil nitro- I am so excited! Every morning there is something new for breakfast and Lunch also! My first experience with their food was an incredible taste of Golden beet carrot ginger soup. It was so good I ate it before taking a picture. The owner Joe and Anna talk to you as you just walked into their kitchen. They never seem rushed and always comfortable exchanging ideas and past life experiences. My favorite drink is their scratch handmade chai heated to a personal favorite of 160 degrees, steamed whole milk dancing with masala spices and rich deep black tea. The best chai I have found. They have a shiny coffee roaster and bags of beans close by. You have to look around the shop because there are little surprises all around. I was so surprised to look up and see ( elevated all the way in the back) a traditional cold brew Yam. It is all curvy sexy glass blown drip maker creating rich cold brew drop by drop. It reminded me of a Vietnamese restaurant that I had visited and ate a glamorous meal with a exotic cold brew to complete the meal. The Beard Brothers Coffee company is a place to go to enjoy Coffee and tea, while being encouraged for who you are. Always look for something new especially from their son who is training to be a chef!

This isn't like Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts...this is real coffee!!! If you know what I mean!!! Kind of like Vienna Coffee Company. Might be better than Vienna, don't know yet. It's a place you're likely to encounter your grandparents l, who come here because portions are generous and it taste like it always has. Nothing fancy. Pancakes are the winner - they are fluffy and nearly sweet enough to eat without syrup. Eggs are fine and hashbrowns are plenty though you might be hoping for a bit more crisp. Lunch will need to wait until another visit but I can tell the club sandwich and side of biscuits will be easy choice along with open face turkey or meatloaf. It's grandma's kitchen for certain, and it always has a place in my heart.

I was wrong, but it was worth the wait. We got our names out down and waited about 20 mins for a table to open up. Our server was very nice and super busy. She got our drink orders and then when she came back she got our food orders. I got the breakfast sandwich with ham and the homestyle potatoes and fruit. My husband got the early bird special, which goes until 11. It was a little wait for the food which was completely understandable. When it came out, it came out hot and tasty. The sandwich was served with an omelet style egg and tasted really good. The homefries were delicious, they were cooked with onions that added a little sweetness and had a little crust on them from the flat top. My husband really liked his meal. It was a good sized portion, with 2 biscuits, eggs over easy, 2 sausage patties and gravy. He turned them into little biscuit sandwiches. The biscuit he said was really good and gave me a piece, it was light and fluffy. The food here is down home comfort food that hits the spot. Service is super friendly. It's a place worth checking out if you are passing through or just coming to if you are a local. The prices are great, food delicious, service friendly and fast, you can't go wrong.

I especially like the restaurant atmosphere. It's very comfortable, upper scale and no matter how packed you can have a conversation with your table mates and everyone can be heard. For the appetizers, I really liked the presentation of the focaccia bread with a table-side drizzle of olive oil and with a pesto, goat cheese, and a bulb of cooked garlic. We also enjoyed the arancini, which is basically fried risotto. I didn't like my main as much. I had the mushroom rigatoni. As I'm not a vegetarian I had to try a side of meatballs which I did enjoy. While I really enjoyed the nuttiness from the toasted hazelnuts, the mushrooms were very chewy, almost as if they'd been rehydrated, and a lot of the pasta was pretty dried out. Needed more sauce for the rigatoni. I can see how the dish can satisfy a vegetarian option but it would also be perfect with grilled chicken. I took a bite of the creamy Tuscan shrimp and thought the shrimp was perfectly cooked and very creamy. And the pork chop with polenta had an interesting sweetness to it. While I wouldn't order my entree again, the service plus the other dishes makes them a 5 for me. You Bella believe I'll be back!

After the logo controversy, we decided to give Cracker Barrel another try today. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. We were seated to a dirty table that was never wiped off. We were handed a new menu that had coffee stains all over it. We ordered the food and the wait was fairly long, even though there weren't that many people. There were 3 of us and they brought a basket with only 2 small biscuits. The waitress didn't return to fill our glasses or coffee the entire time. I ordered the Country Boy Breakfast with Sirloin Tips. This item used to include a Sirloin Steak, 3 Eggs and Apples, Hashbrowns and Grits. Now, it's ham or Sirloin tips and 2 sides, no grits and costs more. A single meal that used to cost $20 out the door leaving a $5 tip, now costs, $5 more. The food arrived lukewarm and didn't look that great presentation wise. It was ok. It wasn't like it used to be. The hash-brown casserole was tasteless and the sirloin tips were over-cooked with no seasoning. Regardless of logo changes or not, Cracker Barrel isn't a value anymore and quite frankly, the food isn't that great. I don't ask for a lot, but I think I should have a clean table, a clean menu, and hot food that tastes good. And it wouldn't hurt if the waitress refilled the drinks once. It's a shame, but I don't see Cracker Barrel making it. I know that I won't be back. Cracker Barrel had millions of dollars in free advertising from all this controversy. People will probably try it again just to see how it's changed. People may give it ONE shot out of curiosity, but they won't come back for overpriced, mediocre, lukewarm food.
