The Barista sensed I was keeping an eye on my weight with all the "skinnys" I was ordering. Skinny caramel macchiato. Skinny blueberry muffin. So she offered me a sugar free caramel topping in my caramel macchiato, which I didn't know existed and was never offered before. All this time I was ordering, and I didn't know! So four stars to you for teaching me something I should've known a long time ago. Plus, this place is cozy and clean. Conveniently located next to the famous and pristine Langham Hotel in London. Directly across from the Langham's spa, The Chuan spa.

I love you, I love you, I love you!!!…read more I mean no disrespect to my normal twice-daily Starbizzle on Carnaby St, but this branch has won my heart. I visited the Langham Place Starbizzle for the first time this morning. I ordered my normal drink (an iced 4-shot espresso) and the lovely gentleman behind the register mentioned a policy that I'd never heard of until now: Apparently, if one pays for a drink using a Starbucks card, ALL EXTRA SHOTS ARE FREE. So, by loading up a gift card and using it to pay for my daily fix, I will only be paying for a single shot. That's AMAZING. I've been getting the same drink at my normal Bizzle for months now. No one has ever mentioned this to me. My first time in the door at Langham Place, though, I learn a money-saving secret that will greatly enhance my coffee drinking experience. And with all extra shots free, dare I be a mad-woman and step back up to my old 6-Shot Stunna? I think the answer to that is YES.

Sorry. We need some balance here people…read more The staff at this branch are pretty good, to be fair. I got dragged in by a local friend who only seems to like Starbucks. It's been a couple of years since I've given this corporate behemoth a chance so I thought I'd see if they'd improved. They haven't. The coffee sucks, people. It's burnt. It's hideous. It's overpriced. McDonald's does better coffee for half the price. Yes, the staff are friendly and that helps. But I don't want to go to a coffee shop and have to drink water as it's the only thing they do that tastes like it should. Still, at least I don't have to try it again until 2011

I have the nerve to visit an entirely new continent and an entirely new country and sit myself down in my disgustingly comfortable comfort zone, and write a yelp review in my vernacular. Is the coffee here better than the Starbucks in the states? Couldn't tell you. I've learned to shut my tastebuds off when I'm at Starbucks and it's so hardwired into my system I haven't the slightest chance to navigate around it. I CAN tell you this Starbucks gets 5 stars for having hazelnut sweetener and a lovely-lovely staff who made me feel welcome. I even got to hear my name, "Justin," with a slight English accent. Beautiful. That's another reason why it gets 5 stars. Because I got everything an American could want upon visiting London, to hear various words said with an accent without having to leave my precious comfort zone; and to see things that other people have seen, post it on Instagram, and pretend for a moment that I matter to someone somewhere presumably, and that for some reason my visit to some iconic location means something special. Pret A Manger? Whaaa??? What's THAT you're saying?! NO thank you. I'll stick to what I know, and drink what I know, and speak how I know, until I die where I know but probably not knowing how... Thanks for being here Starbucks. I'll see you when I get back to the states. I'll see you everywhere. Literally everywhere. Like you're stalking me.

Yep, they have a large basement with decent lighting and a large study table that can double as a great meeting space in a pinch. But I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly post my awe of Starbucks' (and I can't believe I'm typing this) micro-ground coffee. As in, stir-in-hot-water, dare I say... instant coffee. It's... good? I mean, it's more than drinkable and I find myself keeping a pack on me at all times in a pinch. It's *much* better than the office brew I'm dealing with and it's beyond convenient. So in my apologetic ways, I'm very thankful that this Starbucks is here and providing me with such convenience at the snip of a packet.

It occupies two storeys, with the first having a few seats and tables and a large serving area with glass cabinets containing pastries and sandwiches. The upstairs has large sofas and chairs, as well as a free wifi connection. Otherwise the service is generally to a very high standard, with the staff being very pleasant and friendly to customers.

The store is a decent size by London standards with limited seating, including some more comfortable seating around the back. They did seem very short-staffed, due to one staff member taking a break, they only had one barista who was both taking orders and making the drinks, considering all the pressure that was under him, he deserves credit for providing great service and a good-tasting beverage. I did feel bad that he'd be put in the situation though, as he had too much work to do which isn't good for the customers or him. I ordered my usual Venti Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte, which came to £4.60, again I always find this to be a little pricey, with Starbucks increasing the price year on year since 2019. My beverage tasted fine. 3* - Not a bad Starbucks location, even if the seating area was a little cramped, and the store did seem over-staffed. When I went it was later in the evening so I was able to place my order right away. I work part time at sbux here in the states and I get a discount when I am at other stores so I asked the barista if I could still get my discount even tho I was from the states. She said she should be able to but as it turns out it would not go through. The girl said "oh that's ok, this one is on me because I want you to have a good holiday" and she rang up my drink free of charge. She really did go above and beyond because I was not demanding nor expecting a free drink just a discount. The lobby was full so I was not able to find a seat nearby with an outlet. Me and my friend decided to go over next door to the burger place instead. This is nothing against the wonderful team at sbux is just that the lobby was full. Great customer service here, would love to go back again.

A large and modern Starbucks store in St Pancras, it feels different from your usual Starbucks…read morestore as it has a good amount of seating inside and then in the railway concourse, they have some bar-style seating which I like, and the counter seems to go round in one big circle. As expected with it being London, the prices are much higher here, it seems prices can vary between around £0.05 and £1 depending on the type of drink and merchandise. The staff member who served me seemed nice, but he refused to give me the Eat Out Help Out discount which Starbucks as a whole is signed up for, even though Starbucks as a chain is listed on the website. This gives you 50% or £10 off (whichever is lower) food and drinks when eating inside as part of a scheme by Rishi Sunak and the UK government. I later found out that it is only certain stores signing up for this which makes it more confusing - I don't understand it, they have no reason not to sign up! Regardless, my beverage was pretty good, I didn't have to stir it which can be the pain especially with the new lids, I must add the new lids are great and much better than the awful paper straws, these lids have been common in the US for some time now and I'm glad they made it across the pond. 3* - One of my favourite Starbucks stores in a modern setting yet I still think the fluctuation in pricing is a big issue as well as the fact they were misguiding customers on EOHO and also breaking UK law by not asking customers to fill in contact tracing details who sit in the store.
