The ladies working the night shift are very knowledgeable of the drinks and provided us with great service. While they don't serve food, we enjoyed this place because I tried the varieties of wine (even bought a bottle to take for a dinner party), old fashioned drinks, margaritas and beer. I also appreciated the nightcap ambience of not being a loud place but eloquent and nice. We are truly grateful to relax, have a drink or two here after a long day of sightseeing.

Their signature Vienna coffees remain some of the most decadent caffeinated concoctions in the area. They also have a delicious pastry selection baked fresh every day, from pistachio croissants to fluffy cinnamon buns. The space remains a bit rough to relax in given the limited seating and wooden chairs and tables, but in this area, you'll probably be eager to get into your next shopping trip or show, anyway.

I visited Qubic Cafe recently for a coffee. My first impressions were that it was clean and modern…read more Somebody had gone to a lot of trouble to create a trendy environment and it works beautifully. The theme is wood and frankly it's a really nice place to enjoy a coffee and the coffee was delicious and the staff were welcoming. There are a couple of personal downsides for me though. One is that my bony bum appreciates cushions so the wooden surface became uncomfortable very quickly. The second is that the music was not pleasant to listen to. It was a little too loud for my liking. These two issues shouldn't put anyone off going there though. As I said, they're personal to me. However there were other problems. I asked for a hot, skinny milk latte. They don't have skinny milk, only full cream or oat milk. During the debate about the milk the fact that I requested my coffee to be hot was forgotten so it arrived luke warm. As I said, the coffee was delicious but it wasn't hot as I'd asked. I could have taken it back but I just felt awkward about doing that which of course was down to me. I'm well aware that small businesses like this one work very hard to get them up and running and I don't want to put anyone off dropping in here. They deserve to succeed and I hope that they do. Incidentally my phone wouldn't work there so wifi would have been nice but maybe I'm pushing things a bit too far.

They don't ask for your name to put on your coffee cup, but I can overlook that since the frappuccinos and toasted sarnies are delicious. I can confirm that the new Cookie Crumble Frappuccino and Mocha Coconut Frappuccino are both winners. Also, I love the local Starbucks take on food - my current favourite is a cheese and Marmite toastie. My colleague says the lemon chicken melt is her new favourite, and I've also gotten a thumbs up on the chicken and bacon melt as well. Who knew Starbucks food was so good? I did once get an iced latte that was kind of meh, but I can forgive them if their drinks are usually good. Pro tip from experience: if you get a toasted sandwich, it will take three minutes to toast, so don't leave excitedly as soon as you get your coffee.

Friendly service, a few outside tables (though Clerkenwell Road is busy/loud). The cakes and pastries look delicious as well, if you need something to tie you over until the next real meal. Bonus: many charging stations. Juice for you, juice for your electronics. Good idea!

I literally stumbled upon this place a few minutes ago, it's a tiny non hipster coffee shop in Farringdon and upon going inside saw the most beautiful display of wraps, cakes and pastries. I'm a massive fan of anything including salmon and avocado, so the decision to hold off on eating, took a back seat! I was tempted by the offer of mixing and matching my wraps and almost went for the beautiful looking halloumi wrap, but the salmon was calling me.. So that's one for next time! Now to the wraps.. Oh my word!! They were crammed full of salmon, avocado, rocket and a generous portion of cream cheese!! So damn good!! Coffee wise it's damn good! I got a bonsoy flat white and not only does it taste great, a lot of effort was put into some nice coffee art on top! (I know this isn't easy with soya milk and some people neglect this - so extra stars for this! Will definitely be back, next time I'm around and spreading the word...

I arrived 10min before close, so, I wasn't able to really sit in the ambiance that is Flat White. That being said, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Before I talk about the drink experience, some additional details... I fell in love with flat whites when I visited Australia several years ago and I've been ordering and making them at home ever since. One thing worth noting is that a UK (and much of Europe) flat white is not quite the same as an Aussie or American flat white. It's still the same components; rich and bold espresso shot(s) accompanied by textured milk (steam milk infused with air to create a velvety texture), but in the UK they are restricted to cup sizes for some reason (mostly to do with the ratio of espresso to cup size). I was presented with a 4oz to-go coffee cup. The flavor was great, and with execution solid. While this particular drink was delicious, I think I still prefer an Aussie flat white (or American). Having the barely bigger than espresso size feels like the drink is condensed while I want to enjoy the drink and flavor for longer. Cheers!!
