It's been a couple of years since I've given this corporate behemoth a chance so I thought I'd see if they'd improved. They haven't. The coffee sucks, people. It's burnt. It's hideous. It's overpriced. McDonald's does better coffee for half the price. Yes, the staff are friendly and that helps. But I don't want to go to a coffee shop and have to drink water as it's the only thing they do that tastes like it should. Still, at least I don't have to try it again until 2011

The bacon is good quality although I would avoid the sausage unless you like the really cheap kind. The tea is always pipping hot. You order at the counter but they come over and give you table service from that point. The service is always friendly. There is a large plasma tv in the corner which usually is showing sky news. There are four large leather sofas at the front of the cafe so if you fancy a relaxing place to grab a quick cuppa, this is far cheaper and more comfortable than most! In my opinion, this place is an undiscovered gem of a cafe.

I just barely managed to stop the girl from putting milk into the Americano that we'd specifically said we wanted black. Then she wanted to know if I wanted coffee in my white mocha or not (last I checked mocha is always coffee), and proceeded to make me a regular (not white) mocha instead. I'm not someone who would demand a new drink, so I just left, but I'll probably find somewhere else to get my coffee next time.
