I was taking the eurostar from this station and decided to look for a place to charge my phone and hopefully get on the wifi, starbucks has entered the chat. When I went it was later in the evening so I was able to place my order right away. I work part time at sbux here in the states and I get a discount when I am at other stores so I asked the barista if I could still get my discount even tho I was from the states. She said she should be able to but as it turns out it would not go through. The girl said "oh that's ok, this one is on me because I want you to have a good holiday" and she rang up my drink free of charge. She really did go above and beyond because I was not demanding nor expecting a free drink just a discount. The lobby was full so I was not able to find a seat nearby with an outlet. Me and my friend decided to go over next door to the burger place instead. This is nothing against the wonderful team at sbux is just that the lobby was full. A large and modern Starbucks store in St Pancras, it feels different from your usual Starbucks store as it has a good amount of seating inside and then in the railway concourse, they have some bar-style seating which I like, and the counter seems to go round in one big circle. As expected with it being London, the prices are much higher here, it seems prices can vary between around £0.05 and £1 depending on the type of drink and merchandise. The staff member who served me seemed nice, but he refused to give me the Eat Out Help Out discount which Starbucks as a whole is signed up for, even though Starbucks as a chain is listed on the website. This gives you 50% or £10 off (whichever is lower) food and drinks when eating inside as part of a scheme by Rishi Sunak and the UK government. I later found out that it is only certain stores signing up for this which makes it more confusing - I don't understand it, they have no reason not to sign up! Regardless, my beverage was pretty good, I didn't have to stir it which can be the pain especially with the new lids, I must add the new lids are great and much better than the awful paper straws, these lids have been common in the US for some time now and I'm glad they made it across the pond. 3* - One of my favourite Starbucks stores in a modern setting yet I still think the fluctuation in pricing is a big issue as well as the fact they were misguiding customers on EOHO and also breaking UK law by not asking customers to fill in contact tracing details who sit in the store. read more

But too many people pushing through and my name was definitely not called. Someone else decided to snag mine. I'm not really a big fan of Starbucks. Let's be honest, the coffee they serve is not the best and there's too much syrups, flavours and toppings in between for my taste (a coffee should be just coffee, if it is good enough); but I work in the station and although other places are better there, you can have your drink almost straight away. Besides, they have a good reward payment method so I can't complaint. I usually go there during my break or before my work-shift and the staff is always so friendly and attentative. The coffee is still average, but it's ok. They have a good selection of sandwiches and sweets in you feel like having something else with your drink. The place is big and always clean and tidy. So, the only real benefit I can see to this Starbucks (like, as a destination rather than just grabbing a coffee before boarding a train) is that it is apparently open 24 hours. There is free wifi courtesy of St. Pancras Station, and a decent amount of seating. This is, however, SMACK DAB in the center of the station (well, the northern part of the station). As in, other than some glass partitions, it is an open floor plan within the station. To their credit, however, they did put lots of electrical plugs around the bottom of the partitions, so you can plug 'er in. If you are in desperate need of a 24 hour coffee place, I guess this is your spot. read more

An early morning pit stop for some caffeine. No comfortable seating. Door locked in the open position when it's freezing cold. It actually feels colder in this Starbucks than it does outside. I'm also not a fan of take away cups when I'm not taking away!! And no wifi. And nowhere to charge a phone. Might as well bring a Thermos! read more

A cold and unwelcoming store. Why at 06:30 do they wedge the doors open when they are inside St Pancreas station, which is a wind tunnel in effect. It's your typical Starbucks, which by itself is a 4 on taste and quality. However, the prices are absolutely insane (even for London) and this is one extremely busy coffee shop (it took us well over 25 minutes just to get two teas and two pastries. No seating space and if u want anything that isn't straight off the shelf or chilled, budget a 15 minute wait before you have to catch your train. I've been to this Starbucks many times as it's located just opposite platforms 0 to 9. When this Starbucks first opened it used to be staffed by only 2 people now thankfully this has changed. It's probably the smallest Starbucks I've ever been to but service is swift and fairly friendly so no complaints. read more

I thought that the Starbucks in Kings Cross would be both welcoming and comforting. My girlfriend and I were invited to try the new Toffee Nut Latte after she received countless emails inviting us to try their new hot drinks. The Toffee Nut Latte we were served on Saturday 2nd November wasn't full up to the top, it was half full. Unfortunately this made myself and my beloved girlfriend were sick and couldn't eat or drink all day. To top it off we had work that evening at a fireworks evening, so it was quite a distressing day for us. I would strongly recommend that you avoid this place, despite being a well known brand the place is overrated and the food and drink hygiene is not controlled by the head office. read more

It's a bit boring writing a review on a major coffee chain, but this branch within King's Cross station is worth singling out. While service at Caffe Nero at the other end of the ticket hall can be a bit haphazard, the atmosphere at Starbucks was almost like an independent coffee shop off the beaten track. Me and my housemate come here on a regular basis. What makes this Starbucks so special is the fact that it stays open 24 hours! we come here late at night and sit and watch the few people wandering through our favourite station. This starbucks is located just outside Kings Cross station. It is a typical starbucks, with a good amount of seating, including a few high bench style seats and comfy seats in the window. It does get quite busy at peak times, however they deal with the crowds well - you may have to wait if you want a seat though, but lots of people get their drinks to take out. Starbucks in Kings Cross is large and open and a suitable rendezvous point if yr looking to meet somebody at the station. There are some comfy couches and the coffee is excellent. But you pay for it. As a Starbucks gold card holder, I have visited many Starbucks. I always order between the same cappuccino or latte depending on my mood for foam. Was in London and wanted a jolt of caffeine and ordered a cappuccino with two splenda (sweetener in London). Any barista would know that the splenda added to the bottom of the cup will mix into the drink, BUT this barista told me that they do not add anything additional and that I will have to do it at the self-service bar. HUH? Does she realize that when I sprinkle splenda on top of my drink, all I get is overly sweet foam rather than the drink itself? read more

I pass this Starbucks every morning on my commute to work. I do like there Americano, but I don't like being charged an extra 40p for a splash.. and I mean a SPLASH.. of coconut milk. So the drinks are okay, but the service isn't up to scratch.
